@@kashaffatima8429 I’m not quite sure what your mean. But if you mean stretching in general, then yes it’s so important when wanting to do the splits. If you need any help you could ask me and I could totally give you a list of what I did to get my splits. 👍🏼
Workout! Swinging legs back and forth while standing (guessing 30-60 seconds on each side) Deep lunge on each side ( guessing 30-60 seconds on each side) Bent leg lunge (guessing again 30-60 sec each side) Siting pike position (30-60 seconds guessing) Sitting as far as you can in the splits (guessing 15-60 seconds) ⚠️*she said felt as if they didn’t do anything but she still did them👇👇 Butterfly stretch Standing quad stretch
Tips on how to get your splits even faster (As a ballerina): 1) Use weights and swing your legs back and forth 20 times each (Eg: Right leg forwards, backwards and sideways 20 time EACH) (I used 1kg on each leg) (STARIGHT KNEES!!!) 2) Deep Lunge HOWEVER put 2 bricks/ stack many thick books and rest one of your knees on it. Go into the lunge position but lean back so that your hands are touching the brick/books(s) 3) Put a brick (yoga brick)/book against the wall and put one of your knees against it (it HAS to be 90 degrees) and stretch your front leg out into a spilt (so it's like a split for the front portion of your body) (ALSO STRAIGHT KNEES) 4) Same position as (2) but your back leg should be 90 degrees now. Lean your torso forwards so that you are like in a sitting pike position (but only with your front leg) (STRAIGHT KNEES) 5) Same as (4) but flex your front feet now (STRAIGHT KNEES!!!) 6) Now do a full split (Same as 2 but straighten out your front leg) on the bricks/books 7) Do an overspilt 8) Ask somebody to sit on you/push you down And if you do all of this, your should be able to get your split in 2-3 days!! Good luck!

28 day of stretching and I think my right is better than my left, but I am so close to getting my left splits I can already do and over split on a bean bag but I want to get higher tip: try stretching for at least two weeks or more the question most people ask: does stretching work? Yes. It does but it takes a few weeks if you were one of those people who say “ it’s not working it’s not working!!” Then you have probably only been stretching for about a few days it takes a few days if you want to get really flexible I recommend stretching for 15-20 mins a day if you’re already flexible than you can probably stretch for 10 minutes I do 10 minutes because I can already doing over split and more hope this helps:)!
I thought I was the only one with the random desire to do the splits😂what I’ve learnt in my 3 days journey is don’t push yourself too hard. Be realistic. There’s a thin line between discomfort and pain. You don’t want to cause permanent damage to your muscles, ligaments, tendons and joints. You might achieve the splits in 1 week, 1 month or even 1 year. You’ll get there eventually with consistency. Keep pushing!
All the stretches you did were great for beginners don’t beat yourself up girl, doing a side split isn’t cheating lol you’re not a cheerleader, dancers do side splits and it’s just as effective with keeping your mobility good ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Yes in 2020 I was do the 2types of split easly(i don t know the names because i am not english but i was able to do the one that the girl did and the other split is I think the facial split ) but now I am 14 and I can t do it I am like the girl in the start. Just tell me but do you think that I can do it if I did like this girl. Don t lie please.
Random Fun Fact/Story: It's great to know how to do the splits and other flexibility tricks, for example, I'm an Aerialist, I did a double foot-lock and i started slipping (with the double footlocks still on me), if I didn't know how to do the splits, I could've seriously hurt myself or my hamstrings because I fell into a DEEP split, it still hurt when I started slipping, but it could've been a lot worse-
i do taekwondo so i really need to learn the splits which is the hardest and most painful part, i'm getting better but sometimes you just feel like you're not progressing because you're not seeing yourself but watching your video made me realize we actually do progress if we keep going so i'm trying to do this every day even when i'm not training. soo thanks for the video, you did really well, it's not easy so it's really impressive and inspiring!
I got my full splits down in a week using alivia deandre’s tutorials because she has a lot of stretches that are quite useful. I will say is it realistic for most people to get it down in a week, no but I also have very very flexible joints to begin with so it was quite easy.
if anyones trying to get their splits and can’t get them, i reccomend anna mcnultys split stretches, they are super effective and I got massive oversplits
I have been trying to get the splits since few years now but still at least 9 inches off ghe ground. What baffles me is that in butterfly position both my knees touch the ground, i can quite hold deep lunges for 30 seconds. I can sit in half split position and yet i seem to have hit a plateau. I dont know what do i need to do differently. And no one around me seems to know. Coz gymrats dont care about splits. Its been my fancy sonce almost 10 years now to be able to do a split.
have you tried "pnf stretching" or any active split stretches (stretches that require movement/pulses)? these have really helped me get passed plateaus that i've faced :)
what really helped me in achieving mine was stretching my oversplits, it seems counterintuitive but when you try stretching that way you are able to push yourself further and have some progress, but be careful to not hurt yourself
I am a gymnast and i can say, Straddles/pancakes And butterflies DONT help with front splits. Instead they stretch out your hips and are good for middle splits. Weight butterflies are also better as well!
I’m not sure acute pain is what anyone should be going for and challenging themselves beyond. If the stretch is very painful then the muscle probably needs to be strengthened some more or to vary methods (static, dynamic, contract relax etc.) If you just stretch and stretch aggressively it’s all too easy to end up with muscle elongation injury. One of my hamstrings snapped while overstretching in an aerial silks class and two years later it’s still sensitive and tighter than before. Stretching is a long process but injury happens very fast. Take care of your bodies everyone!
Pleaseee more flexibility challenges!! Loved the video. I recommend Anna Mcnulty’s flex routines. :3 Also, a tip when stretching! Bend your LEGS, NOT your BACK. :DD
I personally wouldn't recommend stretching for 30 days straight, take a few breaks in your journey. It takes more than 30 days to be able to complete this goal, so stay consistent. ❤
I agree. There should be a couple days in between each stretch day for muscle recovery. It can be very dangerous to do it everyday especially when just starting out. She did disclaim that it can be painful to do everyday and she took a 6-7 break. I wish the title was changed for that reason because people will go into this thinking it’s safe and accurate to do everyday
As a former college Dancer, I see a lot of people are missing a very important step. You can stretch first. You should always do that before any strenuous activity. But don’t do the splits stretches first. Do normal stretches which most are split stretches like lounges and butterflies. But do that first then a mini workout to warm your body up. You body has to be in a workout state. If you going straight into it after just stretches it’s just gonna hurt and you’re going to see no progress. I’ve noticed that when I do what was mentioned above it didn’t hurt as much and I seen better progress. Ps. I injured myself trying to cheer and dance. So I have to be very cautious with getting my split back. I was also very close to getting it before the injury. Also, some people will never be able to do splits so if. You’re doing everything you’re supposed to correctly and notice that your flexibility is not there it’s because of your body.
thank you for saying to your audience not to push youself. as someone who has studied in India and taught yoga for years, I can say there is no advantage in doing the splits, it is essentially a party trick..but you can definitely hurt yourself irrevocably and unnecessarily by pushing your body too hard. flexibility is good, forced flexibility is counterintuitive
Yup, and maybe if u push urself then u wanna get it faster, but u will need more time then, cuz I pushed too hard when I was like soooo close to my right split but then the muscle was so painful for like 2-3 weeks and I definitely lost a lot of flexibility, now it’s the bad leg but it was much better than the other one 😢
You need to stretch your glutes and lumbar spine to get deeper. You’ve opened the hamstrings and that allowed you to go deeper into the splits, but now the tightness remains in your low back and hips.
I remember as a child being able to do over splits in all directions and being able to lean backward flat, i was crazy flexible and now nothing, i can’t even nearly do a split. Sigh. But I’m gonna try this and hopefully it works.
I was really young when I could do the splits, years later I lost it, I have hope to try again, your so inspirational, I’ll let y’all know how it worked out!
I am stiff and inflexible. I am able to only do a 90° degree split, not 180°. I am further half away to the end. 😅 I am mentally bonkers to try smart not hard. I am hyped to do more training inspired by you.
I remember when I starting leaning my split with Anna McNulty 2 weeks spilt challenge and I was so shocked when I got my spilt in just a day but with so much pain then three days later I got it without any pain. And after that I later forgot all about doing the spilt, 😅 now am back to where I started again.
A similar but much better stretch imo to your bent leg lunge 1:40 is to lay your back on the ground. This requires a bit more flexibility than you had @ 1:40, but frees up your hands. As soon as you can get enough flexibility, a MUCH better stretch IMO. To get a slightly deeper stretch rest your free leg on the knee of the leg being stretched, and for an even deeper stretch, put a yoga block under your but. W/ all of these make sure you're lower back is flat and not arched. Ideally you could lay back, stretching both sides simultaneously & lay there comfortably for up to 5 min. Also after you can do the splits comfortably, can you bring that back leg to rest your sole on the top of your head?😇
As a inflexible person I actually got my splits in just 1 week it was really painful but I got helped from my little sister to force me to touch the ground
It is possible, because I quit dance a few years ago so I becomes very inflexible, but then I started stretching hard everyday and and I got my splits in less than 20 days.
I’m 41. Spent my life doing static stretches & using the method where you stretch in flexed position then flex the opposing muscle has got me from stiff to the splits in 2 months
There are many different types of splits. You've gotta practice all every single day. The younger you are the faster you will master them. I don't know the proper name for the splits. But I try my way. Side, front, vertical front and vertical back split. I needed way longer than one month.
i loved this! did you only do the stretches that you showed in the video or did you do more?? i'm trying to get my splits and i'm similar to when you started
im starting a 14 minutes stretch to get splits challenge and I did begin it today. about 18 cm from the ground (or 7 inches). im going to keep un update to everyone
Hi well done you did amazing 🎉 can you tell me how many of each stretch you did in one session please so i can follow your stetch routine and for how long you aimed to stretch for each day. Kind regards nicky x 😊
You do relize 30 days is definetally enough to learn the splits if you have the correct and consistent streatches and put in the effort of about 20 minutes a day.
Stretch your legs out daily each day and you’ll eventually get there( also it depends on how you stretch your legs, like if you want right slips, middle splits and left splits)
What if u stand like and upside down V and kick your leg over, dont go over but go back and forth, you'll need more room incase you kick the shelf but back and forwards
I remember when I discovered I could do the splits, I was just stretching couse I was bored and then I just wanted to know how close I was to doing the splits so I stretched a little bit more cause I obviously didn’t want to break a leg, after that in the moment of truth I tried doing split and I actually got them I was. So happy and I even send my mom a video of me doing the splits lol, but actually I used to do them before covid ‘cause when covid came I stopped going to ballet classes and eventually stopped practicing and that is how I lost them 😢, but anyways that’s all, and I’m so sorry for my bad English, I know it’s really bad. 😭
When I got my splits I remember I was just stretching with my friends before a track meet and I was making a joke about how inflexible I was by like trying to get into the splits, and then I got my splits... LOL
@@KearahKraus thanks! I'm also super inflexible. I'm 5'10" and I'm wondering if my height has something to do with it because I've stretched every day for a while and see no improvement.

Also, I do 30 seconds on, 15 to switch sides & keep repeating til holding each split for 2 min. Including middle splits. So far from getting that one, but it doesn’t even hurt now & I had a hard time holding 5 seconds at first!!
If you are a person who stretch daily even only if your back yes you will get splits in 30 days mostly depends on how much you stretch I was trying to get my splits from 2 years but I didn’t focus mostly on it but I have a pretty flexible back so now for 6 days I am daily doing splits stretches and I am 2 inches above the ground so yes you can get em if you stretch

Tips on how to get your splits even faster (As a ballerina):
1) Use weights and swing your legs back and forth 20 times each (Eg: Right leg forwards, backwards and sideways 20 time EACH) (I used 1kg on each leg) (STARIGHT KNEES!!!)
2) Deep Lunge HOWEVER put 2 bricks/ stack many thick books and rest one of your knees on it. Go into the lunge position but lean back so that your hands are touching the brick/books(s)
3) Put a brick (yoga brick)/book against the wall and put one of your knees against it (it HAS to be 90 degrees) and stretch your front leg out into a spilt (so it's like a split for the front portion of your body) (ALSO STRAIGHT KNEES)
4) Same position as (2) but your back leg should be 90 degrees now. Lean your torso forwards so that you are like in a sitting pike position (but only with your front leg) (STRAIGHT KNEES)
5) Same as (4) but flex your front feet now (STRAIGHT KNEES!!!)
6) Now do a full split (Same as 2 but straighten out your front leg) on the bricks/books
7) Do an overspilt
8) Ask somebody to sit on you/push you down
And if you do all of this, your should be able to get your split in 2-3 days!! Good luck!

U done so well with this keep it up !!
how much time did u spend on stretching each day? because it’s been about 4 days that i started and idk how long i should stretch for a day 😭
@@khadidjastars4512how many days did you figure worked for you?
how much time ***
i remember when i used to be able to do the splits and now i cant sadly but seeing this video gives me inspiration to relearn them thanks and im happy to be a new sub :]
Random Fun Fact/Story: It's great to know how to do the splits and other flexibility tricks, for example, I'm an Aerialist, I did a double foot-lock and i started slipping (with the double footlocks still on me), if I didn't know how to do the splits, I could've seriously hurt myself or my hamstrings because I fell into a DEEP split, it still hurt when I started slipping, but it could've been a lot worse-
I love your outfits so much 😭😭
i do taekwondo so i really need to learn the splits which is the hardest and most painful part, i'm getting better but sometimes you just feel like you're not progressing because you're not seeing yourself but watching your video made me realize we actually do progress if we keep going so i'm trying to do this every day even when i'm not training. soo thanks for the video, you did really well, it's not easy so it's really impressive and inspiring!
I am a gymnast and i can say,
Straddles/pancakes
And butterflies DONT help with front splits.
Finally i find someone who isnt faking or already 20 years into their flexibility journey
Pleaseee more flexibility challenges!! Loved the video.
I recommend Anna Mcnulty’s flex routines. :3
Also, a tip when stretching!
@@izabellapollockthats not her problem what ppl think use common sense 😂
I’m using this a tutorial…
Also when i did the lunge thingys i kinda fell to the ground. Also this video made me laugh so bad😭
You’re so funny
Where are the gray sweats from? :)
thank you for saying to your audience not to push youself. as someone who has studied in India and taught yoga for years, I can say there is no advantage in doing the splits, it is essentially a party trick..but you can definitely hurt yourself irrevocably and unnecessarily by pushing your body too hard. flexibility is good, forced flexibility is counterintuitive
The happy birthday thing hanging out all through the video 😭
You need to stretch your glutes and lumbar spine to get deeper. You’ve opened the hamstrings and that allowed you to go deeper into the splits, but now the tightness remains in your low back and hips.
Just you know, the handstand looks good.😊😊
I remember as a child being able to do over splits in all directions and being able to lean backward flat, i was crazy flexible and now nothing, i can’t even nearly do a split. Sigh. But I’m gonna try this and hopefully it works.
I was really young when I could do the splits, years later I lost it, I have hope to try again, your so inspirational, I’ll let y’all know how it worked out!
Well done have you got a full list of stretches I can use please? ❤
People that can already do a split but just came to see what is going to happen :)
i’m laughing so hard at all the painful faces you’re making bc that’s so relatable HAHA
I am stiff and inflexible.
I am able to only do a 90° degree split, not 180°.
I am further half away to the end. 😅
I am mentally bonkers to try smart not hard.
I am hyped to do more training inspired by you.
I'm currently attempting this! Also, where did you get your gray sweatpants? I need them!!!
I remember when I starting leaning my split with Anna McNulty 2 weeks spilt challenge and I was so shocked when I got my spilt in just a day but with so much pain then three days later I got it without any pain. And after that I later forgot all about doing the spilt, 😅 now am back to where I started again.
Is it on RUclips ?😊
@@florastevens863yup! search up anna mcnulty stretch challenge splits
ig this is my sign to relearn the splits
U inspired me to learn how to split I'm on my 1st day and let me TELL YOU THE AMOUNT OF THE PAIN !!!
Also after you can do the splits comfortably, can you bring that back leg to rest your sole on the top of your head?😇
can you do a video on the tutorial please 🙏
and congratulation for you❤
As a inflexible person I actually got my splits in just 1 week it was really painful but I got helped from my little sister to force me to touch the ground
i used to be a self taught gymnast and i got my splits in a week, but i think its because i used to do ballet when i was younger lol
It is possible, because I quit dance a few years ago so I becomes very inflexible, but then I started stretching hard everyday and and I got my splits in less than 20 days.
I’m 41. Spent my life doing static stretches & using the method where you stretch in flexed position then flex the opposing muscle has got me from stiff to the splits in 2 months
which one fo you mean?
There are many different types of splits. You've gotta practice all every single day. The younger you are the faster you will master them. I don't know the proper name for the splits. But I try my way. Side, front, vertical front and vertical back split. I needed way longer than one month.
Hey where did you get your cropped sweater @ 3:41? it's super cute
i loved this! did you only do the stretches that you showed in the video or did you do more?? i'm trying to get my splits and i'm similar to when you started
Try erica lins splitnroutine
I only did the stretches in the video :) I’m sure there are other ones that you can do though!
Girl you're so funny 😂😂 congrats from a fellow kira!!!
Splits took me 20-25 days and i stretched everyday! I really improved
I really wanna say tysm cuz of u i started to motivate myself to learn it again!💖
Yay I’m so glad!! ❤️

1:31 that looks like something out of Silent Hill
im starting a 14 minutes stretch to get splits challenge and I did begin it today.
about 18 cm from the ground (or 7 inches).
im going to keep un update to everyone
And updateee??
Yayyyyy! You finally got your splits on my birthday! (Apr 15)
i love this you also should do the stretch
Hi well done you did amazing 🎉 can you tell me how many of each stretch you did in one session please so i can follow your stetch routine and for how long you aimed to stretch for each day. Kind regards nicky x 😊
Your eyes are such a pretty color!
You do relize 30 days is definetally enough to learn the splits if you have the correct and consistent streatches and put in the effort of about 20 minutes a day.
Only realistic video i have seen! Had a very similar experience and im stuck at the last inch now and i stopped seeing progress
LOL
Desperate figure skater here im gonna start tomorrow and see how long its gonna take me ( I skate every day so stretching my not be a problem )
This is super helpful!! how tall are you?
Yay I’m glad! And 5’7” :)
@@KearahKraus thanks! I'm also super inflexible. I'm 5'10" and I'm wondering if my height has something to do with it because I've stretched every day for a while and see no improvement.

I magically got mine in 1 to 2 weeks 😩
What is the name of the channel that taught you?
Me as a gymnast I believe to do a wall split which also stretches the body
this so fab mi beautiful sis. keep going, kisses n cheers too
Hello, stretching exercises are really great for the body☀. I increased my height by 4 inches in 4 months and this result is truly incredible for me. During this period, I used Shiydf and did regular stretching exercises every week. I hope everyone achieves their dreams!
Oh thanks for this lesson so actualy now i can do the splits
Also, I do 30 seconds on, 15 to switch sides & keep repeating til holding each split for 2 min. Including middle splits. So far from getting that one, but it doesn’t even hurt now & I had a hard time holding 5 seconds at first!!
If you are a person who stretch daily even only if your back yes you will get splits in 30 days mostly depends on how much you stretch I was trying to get my splits from 2 years but I didn’t focus mostly on it but I have a pretty flexible back so now for 6 days I am daily doing splits stretches and I am 2 inches above the ground so yes you can get em if you stretch
does anyone know what excrices she used
As a Gymnast I barely have 1 of my splits! I r doing so freakin good 👍 ❤
You say you’re not flexible but you can already touch your toes in a pike from the start. I can’t even do that! :(
I have my splits now but when I pushed myself too hard I pulled something and couldnt do it for 1-2 months
