I believe Mike Redpath is extremely knowledgeable about many things especially Bellanca. We are very fortunate to have him and his willingness to do some of the paint and fabric repairs our birds sometimes require. I can’t wait to see the final product.
Hello, WY Fly Guy from Sydney, Australia. Thank you for showing your Bellanca. Some of the issues that Appear to me are: 1. The fabric degrading around windows. I wonder how to preserve to stop further breakdown. 2. The NAV lights on wings, should they be red/green or combo landing lights? 3. The stringer line under fabric on the wing top. Is that a concern for laminar flow over? 4. The gaps between fuselage and wings: do you have covers to direct air over and under? Happy Easter 🐥🎚
The fabric and paint around the windoes is being repaired. The nav lights are brand new and in great shape. The clear covers are old and will be replaced. The crack on the wing is merely paint and will be watched but no repair is needed yet. The wing fairings were simply removed for inspection and will be reinstalled. Cheers!
@@wyflyguy114..yep...got my first set of David Clarks right after my private check ride in '84...a game changer....all my primary was in a 172 with a hand held mic and a ceiling speaker nice Viking btw

Wow envious here..As a kid in the 70s.. my pinup Dream plane was Bellanca Super Vike. My Brother's was a Bonanza V .
Hopefully soon I’ll have a plane back to show you.
I cannot even visualize or imagine putting that beast back together ! Always loved the Bellanca. Enjoying the vids....Thanks
Neither can I! Thats why I am happy to leave it to the pros. I’m sure anxious to get it back though!
Thanks for the video looking forward to an update I've done a lot of work on those planes and flown them a little bit too.
I am thinking about driving through on my way home from FL next week to check progress. I can’t wait to see the finished product!

I agree. It takes someone well versed in these planes to keep them in tip top shape and safe.
Any news on the plane!?
Commercial aircraft still have had mic’s. used as a backup
WOW! Should be in great shape when they finish!
In excited to get it back for sure.

Man, you're so good at editing. How do you get more eyes on this channel? Its highly underrated.
Nick and Ryan will appreciate your kind words. I guess in time folks will find us. Until then I’ll just keep providing the best content I can.
Best line of the video: “Man, that woulda been awful.”
I’m not lying 🤥
