Love watching your Homestead come to Life in the Spring. Always a Beautiful thing. Hope had an enjoyable walk. God Bless and Peace Be With You All ☮️🙏❣️
Justin show this to Jonah, Jonah your younger than me and I look up to you I want to have a work ethic like you and willingness to create useful objects and ideas like you do, thank you Jonah for being my role model
Sweet Lily is quite the Little Milk Maid! I just love going along with you on your chores while doing mine all day along with garden planting! Bless you all!❤️ 😊
I know I said that I like to save your videos until the morning, but I was so gosh darn excited for the 100 days of food starting that I had to watch while on lunch break! So excited for my 3rd year of watching!!!
I have a few advice for you: 1. your farm is pretty large if you free range your birds you can cut off feed naturally by 50 percent 2. If you put your birds and cattles on the same pasture at a time the birds will eat ticks, mosquitoes, biting flies and your cows will get instant relief. By the way this is for the first time I am commenting first on a video
But then they poop on the sidewalk and what in the world use is that to us? And, they'll over manure their happy places around a few of the same ol' trees. Then, they'll ravage the gardens and scrape off all the mulch from the berry bushes and fruit trees.
Yay!!! So excited!! 100 days of growing food vlogs will make our trip across the country go smoother. Going from California to Vermont in search of a farm to call home.
When you said we need to put blinders on I laughed because, years ago, while my x and I were remodeling/ adding on to a house while we were living in it, I would literally do that occasionally. Out of steam, but everywhere you look is work waiting for you. I'd drape a dishtowel over my head so it hung down on either side of my face and all I could see was my book, straight ahead, while I would recharge for a while. Your homestead is amazing.
Woohooo! I love your 100 days of growing food videos. I'm excited for you all. You're all doing a wonderful job working as a family team. Blessings are great for your family!
I wonder if you want to make a simple stool for the big plastic buckets and instal a spigot on it? I got spigots on Lee Valley one year, but they were more a garden hose size, (we installed them on big Rubbermaid garbage cans in which we made manure tea, and raised those enough so the spigot could fill smaller buckets of the tea). Modifications like this are the most rewarding things - making life easier! Go, Jonah, go!
Hi Y'all!! Just got in here. Looking so forward to these 100 days episodes. They just totally encourage me. So long as you have the funds to do it, let the beautiful one feed her seed habit, I love seeing that gal perked up all rearing to go. I'm sure you do, too. That hoshimoto really did a number on her and I'm so blessed to see her up and going. No way I got in here first, too cool!
Another great video Justin, your videos was all I wanted to watch while in the VA hospital, got home yesterday after angioplasty surgery on left carotid artery. For the pig water barrels try cutting a circle out of a pallet & set barrel in.
I have chicks ordered for mid May and fall pigs ordered. Hopefully can find a couple calves. Prices worry me. Can't get into the garden for another month. My big project for the summer is a greenhouse.
Wow, yes a well deserved break is so important! Love watching your channel. I would love to see a video solely dedicated to milk/cream/butter its producing/harvesting/making!
doing great Rhodes family! Noticed over the past few years one of the systems you haven't tried (or been resistant to try?) is No Dig like Charles Dowding? I've been doing it for years and the weeding is amazing because they simply don't grow! Something to think about if you want to start a bin compost system like many of us do
Love your videos. Onions are deadly for dogs. They cause kidney failure. Also no grapes, garlic, chocolate and xylitol which is found in some peanut butters. Not being a smarty pants just information. I didn't know this so I thought I'd pass it on.
Have you rhough about putting a rock insid the pig berrel somehwat easy to move +takes less water to fill the berrel what are your thoughts on this idea
Hey Rodes Family! I'm From argentina, and it is difficult for me to understand why iu aren't keeping social distancing if you are in the country wich more cases of covid? Arent you afraid to lose your older ones? Just out of my curiosity!

A lot of hard work but so rewarding. Especially when you all work as one. God bless.

This will be my 4th year growing 100 days of food
Everything is looking so good. All those fresh home grown dairy products is amazing.
YYAAASSSS 100 days of my happiness.. COMMENCE!!
I have chicks ordered for mid May and fall pigs ordered. Hopefully can find a couple calves. Prices worry me. Can't get into the garden for another month. My big project for the summer is a greenhouse.
Great video.... the only problem is I'm still trying to catch up from 3 years ago.... 😂
Cheers and beers from Victoria, Australia.... 🍻🇦🇺😎👍🇦🇺🍻

🐕🦺🐂🐑🐑🐖🐖🐓🐣🐥🦃💕🐈
I am in this 100 days, cabbage beet and others already ready
The pig water barrel could be put an a handmade hand truck of sorts to pull it to the next paddock. Idk how heavy it is.
440 pounds. We tried it with hand trucks before. Not happening.
Making cream seems like a dream to me! Ah I can’t wait to get a cow and milk it!!!!
Love milk and creame. Lots of skimmed milk for the pigs. Happy pigs.
tell Mr Brown That's is a beautiful garden!
Best of luck for the next 100 days!
How long does it take to feed all the animals?
Seems like an hour or 2. But they also have to move them around so it might take up to 3 hours or more
Bet all morning
One hour.

Have you rhough about putting a rock insid the pig berrel somehwat easy to move +takes less water to fill the berrel what are your thoughts on this idea
Good idea, but it would be harder to move that way.
