    Only thing I would personally change is have a green glow coming from the energy and Lantern reflecting off her. It would show more of a lighting from the energy. But it looks amazing as it is though.

    • @Groundeffected
      @Groundeffected  2 года назад

      Sure I wouldn’t mind to do that but the problem is that only really looks great from one angle so for photos it would be amazing, but for the purpose of collectible I kept it same as most collectibles. @@Groundeffected I understand completely. I have entered into many model contests locally, and MANY, and I do mean MANY, of the figures that i have seen seem to have almost the same type of shading to skin tones. I also see the same shading style on almost every collectable. On my 1/6 scale Tifa Lockheart I printed, I am thinking of doing a base that has a case of Materia near her feet giving off light from below and to show that, do some shading as if the Materia is glowing brightly and the Materia on her bracer is glowing as a reaction to her using them, which gives off light and her face is showing the reflection of the light.

    Looks great dude! I personally don't like using the vallejo masking liquid much. Perhaps I'm just using it wrong but I find it dries too quickly and that my brush will lift off a layer I just put down. Also have you figured a way for it not to ruin the brush?

    • @Groundeffected
      @Groundeffected  3 года назад

      It does dry quick but I put it on thick to combat this. And only use thin layer for more detailed areas. Otherwise I smoosh it on thick. And to clean the brush (this isn’t gonna help you though) I use a 15mag tattoo needle to “comb” the bits out when it dries. Want it to dry quick just dip in alcohol, insta dry

    • @AsimPaints
      @AsimPaints 3 года назад

    • @Groundeffected
      @Groundeffected  3 года назад +1

      I did a video showing my support setting on miniatures. I may do one on large models too but it’s much of a muchness. Many hands make light work. So using more smaller supports is a bit less damaging than one or two large supports.

    • @azhorel
      @azhorel 3 года назад +1

      @@Groundeffected Yeah, I’ve copied those settings, still looking for some time to do a print test. I hope I can get printings half as good as yours lol If I use medium only, figure always de attaches from supports, so I have to use heavy ones that leave a lot of damage to the model… and of course, being figures like super heroes like yours, it’s a pain trying to get smooth surfaces…. I’ll let you know how it goes!!! Thanks again for your videos!

    • @Groundeffected

    what do you use to protect the paint before applying the liquid mask?

    • @Groundeffected
      @Groundeffected  2 года назад +1

      So this is more important before you start painting. You need a good base layer or primer layer to hold the layers above. But an easy way to seal is just a matt spray clear in a can just a light dusting is usually good enough or give your paint a day to dry fully before you mask it.
