The 16th to 16th triplets calculation doesn't seem correct. It's always factor 1.5, because with triplets you play 1.5x the number of notes (3 instead of 2, so 3/2 = 1.5).
    An example:
16th triplets at 120bpm are equal to normal 16th at 180bpm because:
    120 * 1.5 = 180
to counter-check, 16th at 180bpm calculated to their corresponding 16th triplet speed:
    180 / 1.5 = 120 bpm
    Regarding your calculation that means:
normal 16ths at 250bpm are equal to 16th triplets at roughly 167bpm:
    250 / 1.5 = 166.6666....
    But yeah.....still bloody fast :D

    Ansonsten weiterhin viel Erfolg 💪🏼

The Majora's Mask approach. I like this method too. I think it's also an excellent way to address a pile of new music...like say you were going to an audition and had to learn 6 songs in half as many days.
I also think that it's not even worth trying to learn something if it's not glued into your brain already. If you can't hum the guitar parts or you're dealing with a song with a tricky arrangement or lots of time signature variances...you don't even have a shot.
Pete Thorn has an excellent video in the "So You Wanna Be A Rockstar* video series about digesting a lot of material...more specifically a setlist in order. It's all about allowing your brain time to catalog all that information.

    • @justin.hombach

That 8:58 lick or the reverse PG 4 note lick with inside picking is near impossible for me. I can do the original lick better (outside picking). But another one that kills me is to play one note on b string and 3 on high e, even with outside picking it’s always hard.

The conversion of 16th to 16th triplets is. 66. 132 bpm 16th note triplets is the same as 16th motes at 200. Or... 250bpm 16ths is the sane as 165 16th triplets. Quite fast, and more than that, Jason shows a fair amount of stamina too, which is the tough part.

I suggest checking out Manolis Chiotis' (a legendary bouzouki playeŕ ) solo in Perasmenes mou agapes (περασμένες μου αγάπες my lost loves). He was also a guitarist and he invented the 4th string bouzouki that is tuned similar to a guitar and changed the whole way of playing make it much more a solo instrument ,creating a whole bunch of virtuosos ..And of course he was a very serious alternate picker.
Although I have a very different approach in learning you really gave me some cool directions...
You see I love alternate picking too. .
Ps. And as far as I know JP is an avid Al di Meola 's fan. ..
