Here in the US a training group is 5-7 people. In Kenya/Ethiopia, it's the size of a local 5K road race.
I think it's one of the keys to their success for sure!!
makes it more competitive and they can simulate a real race condition (e.g. people strategising and blocking you in front)
Both men and women Barcelona marathon top 3 runners are from Ethiopians. Glad to see the hard work paying off
