    You got to do this every time you start it or just the first couple of times you start it?

    • @phillyphilb3683
      @phillyphilb3683  2 года назад

      In my experience you have to do it every time

    What exactly did u do reverse the gear a couple times

    • @phillyphilb3683
      @phillyphilb3683  2 года назад +2

      I just took off that cover and put a Flathead screwdriver in the groove and pushed it backwards a few times. You will feel a little tension at first when you push it backwards and then you will feel it ease up a little. Once you feel it like that then you most likely did it enough for the flywheel to catch when it’s time to crank it up

    Please noone listen to this guy. 1. He doesn't even know what year his quad is. 2. This advise will put metal shavings in the engine. $200 fix and do it right.

    Did not work for me

    • @phillyphilb3683
      @phillyphilb3683  2 года назад +1

      Damn sorry it didn’t work. The only thing I can tell you is to try it again and keep pushing back on the flywheel until you don’t feel a lot of tension on it and see what happens. You also can order the whole starter clutch from L&L Extreme. I bought one from them and it works perfect. The ones I was ordering from Amazon and eBay only lasted me a few rides

      What issue are you having tho ? I changed my oil after having to replace the gasket he mentioned in this video but after I went to to turn it on to cycle the oil, it wouldn’t crank. I get a bunch of clicking noises coming from the solenoid. I’m going to try this before spending more money at it tho .

    • @javiermartinez336
      @javiermartinez336 2 года назад

      @@ashtonwilliams3487 yea. I changed the solenoid and charged my battery. Been running great ever since. I believe my solenoid was bad and was draining my battery way too fast. I think it was like 20 bucks on Rocky Mountain.
