GetABeachHouse there's so many tunes hiding around here it's nuts, criminally underrated. Check out some of the acoustic shizzle for more top ear loving
"Punch of the Month" is a track I used to have in the MP3 collecting days of the early 00s, that has never been released. I started doubting my own memory of this song and ended up getting in touch with Falco, who assured me that it did exist.
@@hullcrushdeath thanks to you I found that track on RUclips and along with it a bunch of other unreleased mclusky rarities, all on the same channel named SharingIsCaring. Absolutely fantastic how many tracks people dig up. Cool that you managed to get in contact with Falco, did you message him on Bandcamp? I have some questions of my own, but also don't wanna annoy the man.. but if he likes rummaging through his past, maybe it's fine:)
The reason this song isn’t fucking huge kills me All kinds of music are suppressed, there’s songs by this band and bands like Reuben and Mansun that should have been insane hits ... instead buried under an ocean of shite, loved and influencing their fan and contemporaries across the board. Until bands like Sleaford Mods appear .. thank you so much for your art! Was so lucky to see these artists play
started listening to mclusky way back before this video got uploaded. downloaded their demos etc from kazachstan computer via torrent. but this? unheard!
anything of real value is glossed over, a by product of the dumbing down process, horde whats good for self, and watch the human cattle , tease you for not liking slop
There's some more unreleased Mclusky stuff here: soundcloud.com/myindiesite That's all I've got though, but there is quite a bit more out there somewhere
hometapingiskillingyou Holy hell! Thank you very much. Trawled the internet for sometime for this stuff, but dead links are everywhere. Can't imagine there is really much more than this. Will give it all a good listen!
Anyone know if the song is regerring to anything specifically? "Emma" sounds like a journslist to me. In fact this song always feels like a dispute over a legal case to me but idk. Somebody ask Falco
The lyrics on Genius have the first 'Emma' as 'Yea man' which sounds closer, to my ear. The second a few lines later is more ambiguous, but it's unusual for a band in the UK to reference someone directly by name in a negative way because of the way libel works. If it is something specific to music journalism it will be very hard to dig up at this point. Overall the song feels to me like it hates on self-serving politicians. After digging the 15 reference a bit I could only come up with there being 15 members on the UN Security Council? *shrug* But they aren't really 'people' and early 2000s weren't an era of especially controversial UN decisions. The holiday homes bit could be a reference to 2002 controversy of the Blair's buying flats for their children in Bristol at a discount, apparently because of their position, but that might be a bit late for this song. Most likely I think it's just all deliberately abstract: a bunch of people in a position of power who are obviously wrong but act as if they aren't. Considering how surrealist Mclusky are in other songs I don't really expect tight references.
@@erlineandrews I'm not so sure about this tune, but I saw McLusky on Saturday in Manchester. Probably the best gig I have seen in many years. Still buzzing after 3 days.
As the world continues to make 1984 a prophesy, i keep revisiting this.
Thanks for uploading, just brilliant.
god, how awesome is it to discover an unheard mclusky tracks after all those years? a fcking huge gift out of fcking nowhere!!! :D

And why isn't this on Mcluskyism, I feel robbed
They should release it as a digital single or something for the fuck of it.
One of their absolute best tunes
There was a lot of great stuff not included on mcluskyism, it’s crazy how much excellent material was discarded by these guys.
Goddamn this song is so catchy! I’ve literally listened to it 50 times in the past day

Love it but wish it had the bass sound that to hell with good intentions has.
What the FUCK. How could I miss this? So Mcluskyism didn't cover everything? Fauck me!
fukin love you forever
Is they still together or doing any shows?
loooooong since split, however the vocalist/guitar player and drummer have a new group called Future Of The Left
Check out Christian Fitness as well. I saw Mclusky in December last year but it was a one off.
They've started doing some shows recently.
