Hey guys. Ive been reading this. You have to have a fuse on the positive side. And you also have to have it switched. Put an on-off switch in-between the battery and the stereo and amp.
when you connect your power wire(from the amplifier) to the acc on the fuse box this will allow you to turn off and on your amplifier including starting your bike. when I turn off the ignition key all electronics are completely turned off. like you, I don't want any battery drain.
as long as you wire the power wire amp directly into the fuse box you'll have either power on or power off when you turn on/off the key. the only hookup when you have a power draw is when you wire directly to the battery.
It turns out my 1988 Yamaha 750 Virago does not have a 5A fuse for the ignition key (power source). This means I have to wire it directly to the battery. Only the red amplifier wire has the 5A inline fuse. Would direct connection to battery be safe if the black amplifier wire doesn't have the 5A inline fuse? Thank you for your time.
FYI: Got some help from tech guys at motorcycle shop. They said the negative terminal on the battery already has a ground so it will cover the lead wire (black) from the amplifier. ;) I have to install a simple toggle switch (2 legs not 3 (with illumination)) upstream of the manufacturer inline fuse. Upstream as in: Battery to toggle switch, to inline fuse, then to amplifier. No grounding needed. Cheers BlackCat 56.
Do you wish you would have gotten the black ones?

I like the gauges you have set up. Who made the tack, temp and clock? Where did you get them? Thanks,
Before installing should i disconnect battery
any auto or cycle mechanic will recommend removing the negative cable. small precaution from electrical damage. especially welding on a vehicle.
@@concrete981 no. Remove the POSITIVE cable. Not the negative
I am guessing this sounds kind of thin? No bass?
Anyway you can give me advice on how to tap into the fuse?
I used an add a fuse so mine only comes on when my key is on.
When you turn ignition key to OFF, will the amp also be turned off? I'm concern the amp will remain ON and drain the battery.
Thank you.

What a birdnest
this boss stuff is crap if you drive a real motorcycle
23rollondo a real motorcycle? Lmaooooooo
These work with harleys as well brother
A motorcycle is ridden not driven. I bet your real motorcycle breaks down all the time.
