  • Trying to continue to build up my portrait portfolio for my business, my coworker Darbi allowed me to do a third shoot with her, in colder weather while we are still in winter. Because we started when it was late in the day, and the sun had already gone below the horizon, there wasn't much light left to do a shoot. So I had to put away my film gear and use the Fuji XH-2 strictly for this shoot. No issues using that camera in low light. For the Fuji I brought along my 7 Artisans X mount 35mm F0.95 lens. I had used this lens for portraits once before and loved the look it gave on my Fuji. And I didn't have issues focusing it on my XH-2 either. It gives a bit of character for the image with a dreamy look, and is not clinical or tack sharp as the Fuji lenses. Take a look at my images here from this shoot to see what I mean. I will certainly be using the 7 Artisans lens again for portraits in the future! I'm glad I didn't sell it!
