Hi Shane! Thanks so my for the feedback. Insert all the reeds and leave the bottle open with the reeds sticking out the top. The reeds soak up the oil and as the fragrance oil travels up the reed it evaporates into the air so you can smell it. Hope that helps! Enjoy. Sue

Hi Agness! That's why we did the video, actually. I lot of people think that! So glad you didn't light them.... Hope you enjoy your diffuser.

@sylvia10107 Yes, you should use all of the reeds at the same time. The more reeds - the more fragrance, so if it's too fragrant, then you can remove some reeds.

Thank you very much for your video, it was very informative. I just got a diffuser and it's been sitting in the living room with one reed in it. I assumed that the reeds "ran out" or became stale, so I didn't want to throw them all in at once. I'm going to add a few more and see if it changes the fragrance any. One question though: do I need to plug up the jar or can I just leave it open with the reeds in it? I'd be afraid of the open air making the oils change or become "flat". Thanks!

Hi Andrijana, It's a great idea to put just a few reeds in to start and add more as you need to for more fragrance. Enjoy!

Hi Sue, I’m just beside myself with one of my diffuser blends. Have been making this particular diffuser for 18 months without any issues. As of few months ago I discovered this particular blend is not throwing any scent. I Have been testing by changing the base and also % of FO. I thought fragrance oil may have expired so I bought new one and yet still no luck. I usually use 23.5% FO but then I lowered to 20% and increased it to 25%, 27% and 30% without any impact at all. I even changed reeds in case. I used black painted reeds and changed to natural reeds, rattan unpainted reeds and fibre reeds. I don’t know what else I can try. I have 18 diffusers in my collection and this particular one is the most popular, or has been. I had to withdraw it from sale. Yet the other 17 diffusers are working very well and are strong. I’d welcome any suggestions and comments. Thank you.🙏😊 Sue from Australia

In a high traffic area where you will be likely to walk by it often or in an area where there is a lot of air flow. I put one on my kitchen window sill and it works well for me. I don't recommend that if your window gets direct sun - that would be bad for the fragrance oils. A diffuser in a window can evaporate quicker if the window is open a lot. I don't usually have my window open and if it is open, it's only open a crack. I get a nice breeze that picks up the fragrance and I like that.

thanks a lot. I just have one question... I'm using this in my (pretty small) study room, so can I maybe first put 3 or 4 reeds and then weeks later put the rest (so the fragrance doesn't get too strong) or should I put all the reeds at once? tnx =)

Thanks! My diffuser came with the oil in a separate bottle, but the instructions didn't explain that. It just said to remove the stopper, put them in, then flip them. So I wasn't sure how much or even when to pour the oil into the display bottle!

If your diffuser comes with a spray bottle and reeds, do you try to open the bottle or just spray the reeds? I got a diffuser that has a teakwood fragrance and came in a bottle like you showed in your video, however all the refills show in a spray bottle.

great info ! my mom has always had these and i never understand how they worked. quick question i have asthma and certain fragrances do affect me while others dont. when you want to dump out some old diffuser oil like maybe less than a third in bottom of vase can you safely dispose of it in a drain or toilet? i dont want to harm the environment but id like to know for future reference when i want to freshen the diffuser

Thank you! How long does the oil last till the bottle is empty? I wonder if it's worth it or just go with a room mist where I can spray from time to time?

I would rather have this kind of diffuser instead of using a candle burner or electric one. Will I be able to smell the scent though in a big room and throughout my small 2bdrm apartment if I use reeds? I want to be able to smell it good.

Oh no! So sorry to hear that. Have you tried twisting the cap off? Or sometimes I use scissors to get between the cap and the vase to wiggle it off. If it's cork you might be able to try a wine bottle opener. Many diffuser brands are packaging the oil separately now, which is very helpful. What brand did you buy? Feel free to contact the manufacturer to let them know you are having trouble. The more feedback they get, the more likely they are to fix the problem. Good luck!!!

Hi Kemite, I've never heard of a diffuser with a spray bottle. Some companies make the same fragrance in a diffuser and room spray. Usually diffuser refill oil comes with just the oil or sometimes it comes with replacement reeds, but I've never seen refill oil in a spray bottle. Make sure you're buying the right refill oil. Room spray wouldn't be concentrated enough for a diffuser. Let me know how it works out! -Sue

Too far away, talking too fast, Learn how to make a vid(1) use a wireless mic ( cuts out ur bad echo), (2) learn to talk with cadence & pace not like a breathless kid, ur trying to teach OTHER ppl to do this, think of them, be like a 1st grade teacher, just bc you know what the script is doesn’t mean others do. Your Vid is informative I’m sure but trying to understand instructions thru the echo & speed talk was to much trouble. Shalom!
