Some STAR WARS fans could notice that Luke's face changed after the episode IV, and there is a cause for it - a terrible car crash. Mark had headed to the set by car and accidentally fell asleep right on the way. His car overturned and he got out of the car through the windshield. The actor stayed alive, though he needed plastic surgery. Nevertheless, he returned to the set.

I watched Empire and Return as a kid but I didn't see A New Hope as a child and went to the cinema on its 20th anniversary to see it. I didn't know who was playing Luke but I was adamant that it wasn't Mark Hamill. And so I end up reading about the car accident. You can visibly see his face is markedly different from ANH to ESB - the nose especially but also the hard puffiness of his upper lip area.

77-79 is only 2 years when they filmed the second movie. But yeah, his nose is a bit to the left. Thats what hapens when u break the nose, otherwise he is the same.

not aged at all. Harrison Ford has the same face. In the comparison picture, you can see all his facial difference. He got a different nose, larger mouth, bumped eyes and so on.
