- Hundreds of thousands of foreign teachers and students have been waiting to return to China. Most Westerners that were waiting in China's neighboring countries have already went home. I am one of the few one's still waiting close by. I came to Japan for a short student exchange at Waseda University in the fall and ended up staying long passed when I planned to leave. Like everyone else, I'm not locked out of China. Through Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer I ended up seeing all four seasons in Tokyo. Things are hard in the world right now, but friends help us through the hardest seasons of our lives. Friends are there at your house everyday when you feel lonely or sad. I couldn't live in Japan without my friends. See how they have helped make the best of a bad situation. I look forward to the day I can return to my Japanese boyfriend living in China.

Someone disliked the video I made for you before it even premiered. Let's show haters how their negativity only makes us stronger. Fans defend your channel and please press "LIKE"! From the videos it looks like I'm outside all day long lol. If that were really true then who is replying to all of these comments on RUclips? This is footage I compiled over the course of many months taking walks around this local Tokyo area. -Anming
They were probably just mad because they felt they had to wait too long 🌷
Usually bots are what dislike or comment videos before they are even up. So be careful to even interact with them.

@@OrientalPearl People just program them to dislike videos with certain tags, and then you can get in the cross fire. The ones that comment are ones usually trying to either spam their channels or get into your account, like when your Facebook friend suddenly starts sending you ads. That's because they interacted with a sketchy account.
Haters gonna hate, don´t sweat it. :) It was a great video . You are a natural for exploring and storytelling , keep up the good work.

I'm fairly certain it's someones or some bots purpose to go around trolling and disliking everything 24/7. It's the only explanation.
Don't worry about the dislikes. Even the most wholesome of RUclips will have their trolls and haters. In fact, having dislikes in the first place is a sign that your channel is growing. Usually a small channel will only have friends and family to see your videos. Having dislikes means that you have a much wider audience! 😁
Who the hell in their "right mind" is hating on this sweet, kind, adorable woman. Some people are just miserable human beings. Please know that I love you and so many others love what you are doing. Yay!!! Thrift store shopping!!! That’s my favorite pastime 😂. I dig finding cool inexpensive stuff 👍.
There's a lot of good stuff in there. I got a lot of clothes from there.
That thrift store is like Macy's, compared to the Goodwill store near me.
Fun fact - did you know there's a black market for used clothing? At least here in Atlanta Ga. Here in the usa, thrift stores like Goodwill & Salvation Army make a killing. They're only required to donate half of 1% to qualify as nonprofit.

I've read their comments and I figured it out. They are fall into 3 categories anti-America, anti-Japan, or anti-China. Their dislikes have nothing to do with the video content. They just troll any videos about those countries.

@@OrientalPearl The U.S. Air Force base at Misawa Air Base located on second largest island of Japan -- Hokkaido -- far north of Japan has the coldest winters. Misawa Air Base is about 265 kilometers (164 miles) away from Sapporo. The Sapporo Snow Festival is awesome -- held annually over seven days in February -- they have these huge and gigantic ice and snow sculptures.

Wow.... you rock! Re: text... I meant the subtitles. The spoken word is really loud and clear and understandable., even the sound of the person near or not so near you. A go pro 7, amazing, and you have it on an extension stick I guess. Do you connect the go pro with an iphone or mac or pc to download the recording? And what software do you use? Hope not to be too much of nuisance.

I don't have the extension stick, it's just a gimal for stabilization. I connect it straight to my PC and edit videos there. The software I used is kind of crappy, I can't recommend it. lol

@@OrientalPearl You're a very creative person! Keeping the videos coming! I watched every single one. Some of them more than once. As you know Chinese and Japanese culture are not the same when it comes to physical touching especially from someone you don't know. When you were in China the elderly lady tourists grabbed your arm to take a picture. This is very normal and even kind. But for an American or Japanese person it's awkward. Maybe even a little scary unless you understand the culture. Once you do then you can relax and see they are really being very nice to you.
Downtown is not as empty as you think. I was just in Shinjuku this afternoon and there were a lot of people, not at all deserted like I expected. At least everyone was wearing masks. My friend also sent me photos of Shibuya last weekend with lots of people partying in groups
