You are about the only one who reviewed this new model. The 2017 model is discontinued while the original one is still around. EGO however needs to make a cruise control switch for their back pack one.
I own the 575 blower. Last summer I bought the 580 immediately after it came out. The 580 is a little more powerful than the 575 but I returned the 580 because I hated the speed control. The 575 has a nice, simple full range variable speed trigger that runs the blower from 0 to 100% power. The 580 has a partial range variable trigger that only runs the speed from 0 to about 60% power. You can push the TURBO to get 100% power but there is NO speed control between 60% and 99%. The 580 blower only seems to run at too fast or too slow. Very annoying. Hopefully EGO will make another model than is designed like the 575 with full range speed control and eliminates the TURBO button. It serves no purpose whatsoever.
EGO warranty sucks. 3 yrs but denied mine after only 1 yr, because I purchased it on EBAY. NEW in box, never registered or stolen. Denied because not an authorized seller. How do you know who is authorized?
Definitely looking forward to the master blaster video. I have one too and have gone back and forth regarding the longer hose. I would have to imagine increasing the length of the hose would result in a drop in air flow at the nozzle. Really interested in what your results are after you put on the longer hose.
How long has Ego been in business? I had never heard of them till about two weeks ago when I was in my local Ace hardware store. The Ace hardware guy raved about how great they were compared to Stihl. They also had variable speed option. I just wonder about them as a company.
Not sure, you can always google them, but i bought the EGO 530 BLOWER BASED OFF OF another review... and man it was the BEST CHOICE EVER! IT'S SUPER POWERFUL, charges in 50 to 55 minutes, low setting last for 45 minutes, high power with Turbo button last over 13 minutes.... honestly the 530 is more than you'll ever need for your yard work, IT'S PRETTY POWERFUL, even without pressing the turbo button. 👍
@@genysmenrunner1677 You can definitely dry a car easy with this....probably on medium setting. Too low will just lightly blow water off. Turbo will nuke your car...😁
@@genysmenrunner1677 it's only 7lbs...😁 unless you cant lift that, it's really light. Medium setting you should get 20 to 25 minutes...turbo at least 10 minutes...but I get more ...😜 low setting 45 minutes or more 👍🏻
Question, how do you keep your water hose from freezing. I tried washing my car and it was frozen........no water 🥶😢 Temp was around the 30’s Previously about 4 days before that it was in the low teens at night
My actual hose is indoors with no water inside of it and when the weather dips I just turn off the water inside the house to the valve lol extra caution

Good point, I liked that too. But after using the backpack one I don't even feel I need a cruise switch.
Have a blower and whacker. 2+ years, no issues. Not gonna lie. The color sold me, plus it looks good in the garage along with car, lol.
