It's actually about his brother who passed away the same time as they released their first demos to my space, and how he influenced him to be the man he is today. It's also dressed up as a Christian song with satanic trolling.

Hey guys awesome reaction and cheers from Sweden. You hit the head on the nail ofcourse Ghost is making fun of american religious cults in this. In Sweden we actually have some religious fanatics too that actually had tv time on national tv were they used "healing" and such just like this atleast back in the 90's. Everything that happens in america eventually ends up in Sweden for good or bad ^^.
Greetings from Romania! Interesting... I mean I didn't knew that those "healings" are practiced in other parts of the world, but it's true that everything that starts in America comes to Europe sooner or later
"The image is totally contradictory to the way they sound," should be a compliment. Thank you, Ghost would say. That's the point. Because if "the devil" was putting together a band to turn the masses, it wouldn't be screaming blood and venom like Cookie Monster. "Satan's" band would sound like any christian rock/metal band. It would have catchy melodies and make you feel happy, not sad.
If you go to the original video at 1:49 you will see one frame of Jim Jones, the American preacher who led a doomsday cult. In this video, that frame appears at 5:47. Blank and you'll miss it. Very clever. It's satire. Ghosts's back catalogue is wonderful.
im heard Tobias is mocking Cultist Jim Jones. Also the song is about Tobias Deceased brother Sebastian and about Lucifer, who is the Morning Star and the Beast with many names!
Ghost to me is like a heavier version of Abba in someways, as they are set in earlier times, I think they would of done well in the 19s, you guys explained the mystery of this song well i hope to see more ghost as I'm subscribing lol ❤
Have you heard *The Warning* - 3 sisters with a high-energy classic rock sound, mixed with newer genres like grunge and punk on some songs. Try any of the songs on their channel from Teatro Metropolitan, like 'Animosity', 'Disciple', or their completely rebuilt version of Metallica's 'Enter Sandman', which is on Metallica's _Blacklist_ album.

All Ghost songs are fun and good. 😊 one of my favorite bands lately. Hope you check out more from them. 🤘
I think we will :)
This is satire. Ghost made this video in the style of old televangelist programs of the American Southern Baptist style.
Thought so, even thou I didn't knew the exact church, just what we saw in social media

There were several Christian Radio Stations in the U.S. that played this song before they got wise to Ghost.
