If Glycine can line up the bezel on a $140 watch, why can't Seiko do it on a $1,000 watch? Looks like the second hand hits the indices too. Nice purchase Jody. I'm on my way over to the Ashford site now.

Got to say the satin finish case n bracelet resistance to signs of wear is excellent. I guess that Swiss quartz movements of that period where well made.

I bought this watch a few months ago because I was looking for a quartz diver to use around electronics and in labs. Comparing several brands, I believe this is the best option in the $200 range. I really like Seiko and I have a few automatic ones, too bad they don't make a cool quartz diver like that and affordable. It is still incredible how this watch, in addition to being Swiss, is part of a brand with a lot of history like Glycine 👏💯

Nice , I like the Combat Sub but I could only wear it on a strap. 150 grams + is too heavy for me for every day wear on the bracelet which is a shame. No problem with quartz . I think though I would rather pay slightly more and get a Citizen Eco drive Promaster 200 m dive watch and in the long run I can save money on the cost of the batteries although it won’t be massive . Those can be had at a discount for a little more than this and with the money saved on batteries and paying somebody to change it unless you do it yourself the cost is more or less the same . If you are not bothered by the weight , this is a great buy for the money I agree . Glycine should try and make these lighter, at around 130 grams not more .

I bought a mechanical glycine a few years ago for not a lot more ... I like it but I don't wear it that much

I picked up a blue dial varient after seeing your review. I'm keen to see it alongside my Duro (My only other 3 hand quartz diver). An insignificant few dollars more than your green one.. Great find, and thanks for the heads up and review on this one.

You can get an auto Combat Sub for around $300, which makes it the single best deal in watches, IMHO. It’s a great watch to wear and own.

I love my pilot glycine... this watch is very cool too. Reminds me of an Aragon watch band. Very reasonable price on the Combat.

Wow. Here comes more research on getting one of these into Canada to see where the bargain chain breaks down…exchange rate, customs duty, shipping, do they even ship here???? I guess I know what I’m doing during my breaks today!! Once again you lead the way with great intel. Merci!

I have three Combat Sub 42 autos which fit fine but would really love this in a 40mm that was about 1mm thicker.
