Pepper song they'd cover, and he thought Liam would pick A Day In The Life cos its the obvious choice, and relatively easy to cover compared to this (Liam on Lennon's parts, Noel singing Paul's part) but was shocked when he picked this one. I think Liam made a good choice

they have a lot of guts to cover this, there are a lot of (brilliant) beatles songs that are relatively simple to copy in kinda copycat style but this isn't one, fantastic cover
it can be chemically it can be environmentally , it can be a mix of both... the bottom line is, there is a master key that you are handed when you finally experience the numinous... god is not what you think it is, yet still everything you expect them to be... i love this recording eternally, nevermind the song itself, please love each other

as a unbiased and unqualified critic, this is quite good. I prefer the original, but to cover a song like this and not get a comment section full of people vomiting is impressive

Don't know whether this was recorded before or after LOVE was mixed up, but this makes Oasis possible contenders for the title of the 'genius fucks' who merged Tomorrow Never Knows and WYWY. It's quite possible that Oasis or The Rain already had this song rehearsed for live performance.

They are in my book. I'm not getting into a 'whose best' arguement, because only my opinion is important to me. I love them and no-one will change that.
This is a very good cover! I bought Sgt Pepper in 1975 and this track became my favourite off the album. 40 years later i went to India,then 3 years later i meet and fall in love with an Indian woman.
I don't normally like covers, especially of Beatles songs as they just don't cut it. But this gives the original the respect it deserves and is very well produced. A very fitting tribute. I wonder if Liam hired a bunch of Indian guys like George did?

law you may find this hard to believe but I assure you its true. My friend was recording in the next studio @ Abbey Road, and he assured me this is real, and Liam sounds fantastic. I think he hasn't sounded QUITE this good in 9 years. Even the record acoustic Wonderwall @ UK Radio Aid where he sounded very young wasn't quite as perfect, he didn't drag out his notes, etc. I'm glad that people are finally realizing that he still has it :) Madferit.
Uhm ok…. That was pretty damn impressive My first time hearing anyone try and cover this song and i am blown away. The approach of the arrangement was a gutsy call but they pulled it off masterfully.
Is anyone actually listening to this beautiful song? Quit wasting time bickering and enjoy the music. We could all stand to learn something from the lyrics.
As a beatles fan i find this cover actually good. Rare to say that I know. But I'm tired of people crying over ok artist covering beatles, if they sound pretty good I think they should deserve a chance unlike target.

This cover just makes me want to listen to the original! That's not an insult to Oasis; they went up against The Beatles and that's admirable enough.
