    La dimensión inconmensurable de la obra de nuestros genios, nos exime de la necesidad de probar nuestra ascendencia divina.

    These guys all seem to really enjoy playing this as much as I enjoyed listening to it.
    Especially the first violinist and the violist.
    Wonderful performance. Really made me happy.

    I just love the facial expressions of these guys, especially the first violinist. ( 2:33, 8:48 ) I wish everyone had that much fun playing music.

    superb and sublime- what a composition, caught with an electric rendition of such verve and vivacity, dynamic musicianship, of fellowship, at the pinnacle of accomplisment - at least substantially thanks to the inspiration of Schubert, yet who could play it better

    @glicitracan - 1rst cellist's bow arm: noticed that too - maybe because he tilts his cello to the left (rather than to the right)?

    1:04 viola = beastly ensemble communication.

    First I thought the same as you.
    but later I realized 4th movement is the greatest finisher for this quintet.

    Giovanni Sollima is an awesome composer as well as cellist. Plug his name into the youtube search bar. Particularly, check out his Daydream, part 1.

    @platmosic Dont you think that his so called "destruction" sounds so creative,though. Such stuff in youtube is not meant to provoke musicology disscussions but human inner feelings. I love Schubert, this is an one of the most amazing pieces (in the amazing world of classical music FULL OF PURPOSE ) played on top level and with so many emotions!!! I listen to this video every now and then. And I say Thank You, to Schubert and to the players.

    great performance! violinist didnt get the black memo. and 1st cellos bow arm is at sometimes next to his ear. couple of ensambel mistakes like at the end of the trio and the first violinist comes in a half beat too early at 4:54ish. but i love the violist!

    Viola = spastic movement! There's such a thing as trying way too hard, y'know? All that movement just ends up throwing the bow pressure out of whack. If you have super good ears, listen to the viola part. You can hear what I'm talking about easily. Anyway, this is an awesome performance.

    @platmosic oh yeah I know I got that but he wasn't the only one to do it, besides scherzo has come so very far from its meaning its almost pointless to call it a scherzo anymore. There isn't much joking about this one that's for sure

  • @platmosic
    @platmosic 12 лет назад

    @Hamiltonharty the thing is that writing such long scherzi destroys the whole purpose of scherzi lol

  • @platmosic
    @platmosic 12 лет назад

    sometimes schubert stressed himself too much ... who in the right mind would write scherzi each over 8 minutes long? Him and only him lol
