I maintained my written English by debating and critiquing world politics and PAP’s policies in the RUclips comment section. 😄 Making an effort to write and speak in FULL proper English sentences instead of using shortcuts helped tremendously as well. Being good at spoken and written languages not only helps with the perception others have of you BUT it also BROADENS your WORLDVIEW of how different cultures interprets any given situation. 👍🏻
Omg I totally support what Haresh just said his key objective is to run a marathon and charity was a nice thing added to the agenda. Terence’s view comes from a myopic perspective and mere assumption. Haresh is not narcissist at all. Anyways love ❤listening to your podcast guys keep it coming!!!
Altruism is definitely lost once they need to announce it to others, be it the ULTRA marathon or Grab delivery. However, it does work well with pragmatic Singaporeans where people prefer a transactional relationship whereby they get something in return be it tangible or not. While i personally hate it, it does work since the inverse will be that everyone is benefiting less. There are people doing charities and volunteer every single day whom you don't hear about, they are the true "marathon" runners who go the distance. Added: ULTRA
I can read and write, but I cant spell If I need to write without using spell check, it will be tough. Over-reliant on grammar and spell check software.
The taxation mandated on food delivery and cpf deductions mandated on riders could deter some from doing more than they are doing now. If my thinking is correct, platforms will want more to do it part time to make up of the shortfall. The tax reduction (FEDR) for one category is capped at a certain amount and some riders may not be incentivised to work more than that. Now even tips given thru the app to rider is DEDUCTED by platform for the cpf. The state media video could serve to attract more employed people to do the work part time to keep G-invested co like Grab to operate well. With the perceived leniency on traffic rules or regulation, hope car drivers feel less afraid when they see ebikers delivering food on the roads. Most car drivers are afraid when they see ebikers as they basically go very near cyclists and ebikers who ride right next to the first lane along the yellow lines.

Thanks for the comment, but need to factcheck you (as Haresh corrected Terence), he ran an ultramarathon, not a marathon 🤣
