The main riff is a punch in the face.

These remasters are BY FAR the best and most incredible sounding on YT. Please consider doing more of these rare tracks from Met’s history. Thanks so much!!!

Monster is a big, bad, nasty metal song, especially if they condense it like this. Just... the lyrics remind me a little too much about Mr Phil Towle. :D

St. Anger without Island Steel Drum nonsense is a pretty good album.

And with 3-4 minutes cut from every song. Although I WISH they still played the "caveman" harmony live here (6:56 on the album track)

St Anger released emotions in me that the other albums never did, I know that it's not appreciated as the other albums by fans but the raw emotion of that album is unmatched IMO

@@foxernator It took me a long time to appreciate Anger. If we talk about the soundscape, a lot could be improved just with the snare sound. A live recording like the one heard here kind of proves the point. But... I've come to realise St Anger is a perfect album for what it was supposed to be. It fulfills its plot 100%.
If we think about from the perspective of songwriting - and especially coming from Metallica - it's a kind of a masterclass. My understanding is that, omitting guitar solos wasn't a blanket decision as such. In their wisdom there just is no room for those in there. And if there's no room for it, then just leave it the hell out, whatever your guitarist might think about it. Been there as a guitarist myself.
I think Shoot Me Again encapsulates a lot of what St Anger in general seems to be about. "Shoot me again, I ain't dead yet". It should say a lot. And I'm fucking sour that they've never played that live.
