I do flexiteek in South Africa, this is not how we install, and the color will be the clients choice, so not this guys choice. We mostly install scrubbed teek with white lines.
Yeah looks like they fuceerrked that bit up,according to their first part of the video, not criticising one bit of course, product looks mint.Actually the whole cockpit got the treatment.
I dont agree with you, in South Africa the Flexiteek decking is 25% of the price of real teak, plus comes with a 10 year warrantee there the real teak has to be replaced every few years.
The biggest problem is the uniformity of it and the fact it doesn't age. Real teak always looks more natural - you pay your money and take your choice but really I don't see the point on a Karnic 2250.
Honestly, it looks horrible. You can't see the "grout" lines. I would have chosen something different with discernable grout lines.

It looked like he put it on upside down!
I thought the same thing
It looks like they installed an old team floor....even some of the joint seams are different colors.....must do things different in the UK

If i was the one that had to maintain it, I'd go synth all day long ;)
It costs time and money to maintain real teak.
It's up to you if you think that's a worthwhile investment and effort.
