    Cherry Vanilla was a groupie. Bowie hired her as "press aid" in 1973. (MainMan organization) Cherry is not a bad interviewer...love her sexy voice !

      +Pale Rider True but she was experienced in PR prior to being hired by Mainman . She did do actual work for the company, unlike some of the others.

      The right kinds of drugs can do wonders for creativity, depending on the person of course. It allows people to break through their ego, anxieties, etc. and focus intensely on the task at hand, as well as drift off into deep thinking.

    Kathleen Turner and Cherry Vanilla are not the same person. Kathleen is younger, born in a different decade. Cherry Vanilla was the most famous groupie in the world. She has an autobiography. She had a relationship with Bowie and did some management work for him too.

    Bowie was so serious back in the character days. As he left the characters behind and focused on being David Jones he became the affable persona we know from the 80s onward. The bisexual thing was pure media manipulation to get him press coverage. Seems like everyone and their brother does the same thing now. It took him quite a while before he made it big time and quite a few transformations from a folk singer ala Anthony Newley to the dark mysterious Ziggy. Very revealing interview of the early Bowie.

      He was beginning his use of drugs, but didn't really get bad til the Thin White Duke...you can see how emaciated he became durig that time.

    Ok, that last bit was funny, and hot, but also kinda sad. I know it’s not quite as common nowadays, but the separation of masculinity from bisexuality like that.. damn. And she sounds so cool and open and groovy. It was just a different time. Still, his answer was perfect. This was nice, but was that all of the interview? 🙏✌️

      simone watson they are not the same person. Cherry was born in the 1940’s and Kathleen was born in the mid-1950’s. Different people.
