Really awesome watching you work. I learn so much from your commentary. Thank you for sharing.
Just found your channel and work! Lovely! Really useful and interesting! Nice work!
Great glimpse into your process. Nice to see some plein air without the cumbersome set up. Thanks for sharing.
OMG what a wonderfully skilled you are!
Thanks for sharing... which pencils are you using?
That's kind of you. Looks like watercolour pencils in this one.
Loved watching your wrist movements. You appear here to use two tube greens....unlike your usual limited palette....which greens did you use?
Thanks. It looks cold doesn’t it! Probably a couple of various Pale Olive or olive. I don’t usually use any other premixed green.
Hello Lewis Noble, I enjoy your videos and am about to go outside and do some minimalistic plein air like you're doing... Not as cold here in Queensland, Australia, though but a little windy too... What are those pencils you are using please?
Hi, they're watercolour pencils. Thanks for watching.
@@LewisNobleArtist Thank you , Lewis. Love your style. Brims with energy.
I like the way you sketch outside! Thanks very much for sharing! Are you making only these paintings on paper or do you paint them afterwards on a canvas? Bye
Susan van Duijkeren Hi. I do quite a lot of painting on canvas outside too. Have a look at my channel ruclips.net/channel/UC2ojuGFqdy4DO8Tf7tsVBfA
I’ll be finishing this off in the studio in my next video.
Thanks very much Lewis Noble!
What are the pencils you are using … specifically the black and tut orange please :)
.
Thank you, really helpful video. Would you mind saying which colours of paint are you using, especially the two greens?
Thanks no problem. Olive green and Pale Olive Green.
Thank you, that's very kind
Is that an acrylic olive green, Lewis? Also, have you ever used Cremnitz white on a painting before? Cheers!
Probably is Olive. I've only seen Cremnitz white in watercolour so would use white gouache as a preference for more opacity.
Thank you very much, Lewis! I am so hopeful you are wildly successful this year! You are the reason I started painting and I have unashamedly adopted your process of sketching outdoors and techniques. It has added a hugely positive dimension to my life and I thank you so much! If I could ask a nerdy question, with your spray varnish, which type of dammar varnish do you prefer? I’ve got glossy and acrylic varnish but I feel like the acrylic is not the best. I’d love to know. Also, I a purchased heatwave, and I cannot thank you enough for doing all the grunt work. When I ordered all your sketch books, I noticed you had signed the shipping label. That means you took time out of your life to ship it and that’s super rad to me. I can’t wait to receive “heatwave” and get it framed up in my home. Thanks again, Lewis! Cheers.
What paper do you use for your sketches?
Hi, It's only cartridge paper. Decent weight about 200. Don't want anything too heavy as I like to tear and collage in the studio.Like this ruclips.net/video/wS0cPYlGDDo/видео.html
Lewis Noble Artist thanks.
