Mark as Paul was great! I loved his entire Fight AND Flight reaction to bad news with the slow understanding that his brother is about to die. That was golden writing and Mark pulled it off amazingly
There’s two other roles Mark Hamill played on TV you forgot to put in this video. The first is the role of David Bradford in the TV pilot for Eight Is Enough. When that TV show was picked up, the role of the oldest son David Bradford went to Grant Goodeve. The second was an appearance he made on an episode of the sitcom One Day At A Time, where he played a relative of Schneider’s who had come to visit and was caught stealing from people who lived in the apartment.
I don’t think that’s what he wanted for his career. He clearly loves doing voice over work, doing hundreds of different roles in animation for the last 30+ years. I think he’s perfectly happy where he is
Rian didn't do anything to Mark Hamill, he did something to a fictitious character named Luke Skywalker which doesn't belong to Mark Hamill. A character which Disney owns and can do with what they please. I feel though the old cast shouldn't have even been in the new movies. I didn't want to see them in an elderly state, it was hard to watch.

@ItsWhosBetrayal I'm speaking in a technical / legal way about Luke Skywalker doesn't belong to Mark Hamill so he really doesn't get to dictate any direction the character goes. I'm sure they listen to his input but at the end of the day, the studios will go with their own direction if Mark's idea doesn't fit the narrative. Now if you think about Harrison Ford, he did get to dictate the direction Han Solo took and that was his death. He was able to leverage that deal of him only coming back to the franchise if they kill off Han Solo's character. Mark did however let it slip in an interview that his negotiation for coming back to the franchise was a full 3 movie deal so with everyone upset that Mark was supposedly killed off, that isn't true. He signed a 3 movie deal. He will be in EP9.

6:55 his brother has LUKE-kmia
Holy shit, I loved Shenmue on the Dreamcast.
I kinda want to see that horror movie at the end. Although made-for-tv movies are almost always terrible and disappointing. (See the holiday special for proof) Spielberg's DUEL is a huge exception to that rule though.
“And now we’re coming up to the home of Disney director Rian Johnson”. Hamill has a vision of his future and goes berserk
He was so young &:cute & kinda small I just wanna hug him. He always played nice guys seems. Lucas did good casing him. Great research. Oh he Played a lunatic in the last clip b4 sw he has 358 credits
Damn Mark makes good for a bad guy, 09:38, so reminds me of an evil version of Tom Cruise.
Dang I still have one of those old Kodak thin cameras. I thought they were from the 80s not the 70s. O>o zoinks.
Technically Mark Hamill’s first movie role was in Ralph Bakshi’s Wizards which came out 3 months before Star Wars, but it was a very small role and he may have done it after Star Wars finished filming
Man mark Hamill should of been Marty micfly from back to the future
Mark is a really great actor, his "I am your farther" scenes are incredible. He has never had the recognition he deserves
Cool stuff one of my favorite actors Luke Skywalker
peter papadimitriou luke skywalker aint an actor tho
@@vblack172 hello and good morning from Hamilton Ontario Canada I realized that Luke Skywalker isn't a actor, a character that Mark Hamill plays which I think he does very well, sorry about that type o. I'm a stroke and cardiac arrest survivor. and I'm looking forward in seeing the next film take care
peter papadimitriou oh okay, well take care! I’m not that excited for the next film considering what they did to luke's character in Episode 8.
@@vblack172 lve read alot of people didn't like the last Jedi me I didn't mind it too much like the force awakens better overall, and I didn't like that Luke would just throw his light saber away over his shoulder just like that, stupid joke but anyways I hope you have a good weekend
peter papadimitriou well personally I think the direction they went with Luke's character was horrible, especially the way he died was boring and unnecessary in my opinion. Anyways, have a great weekend yourself!
