I was visiting my friends in SC last year. I was getting ready in my room with that particular Saturday episode on, the volume coming from my phone. One of my friends said (insert my name here, what are you listening to) I told her & she starting listening.
Thank you for this section on Ms. Griner. I pray for her daily. So mad at people saying she deserves this. She does not. We have to pray and act for her release.
As a HBCU Grad , Dr Carr is absolutely correct , to be acknowledged as Prof is held in highest esteem in the 60’s 70’s & 80’s more than Doctor, on campus
I love this Saturday Class. I started listening to you both during the COVID lockdown and I have learned so much. I appreciate what you all have done here and are doing in the Knarrative platform. Thank you! Thank you!
Doctors Carr and Hunter are for real and serious like a heart attack. We are literally learning our history and the most important ancestors, heroes and heroes of our times and the great civilizations that we created so that we can hold our heads high.
Professor Hunter you and Dr. Carr have accelerated my radicalization! I too have no tolerance or time to baby talk people in learning the vast knowledge of our history that you've taught me since you started this platform. From SiriusXM, Knarrative, Knubia & The Black Star Network with Dr. Carr. My spirit is forever grateful🙏🏽!
Im so glad you guys cover international issues because in america the media is almost in a cabal to keep anything international out the news. We have a global economy and our commodities are international. Our technology is sourced from overseas companies. Our thinking should be global
Morning From Las VEGAS... LOOKING forward to 1 Hell of a CONVERSATION.. HAPPY August and Many BLESSINGS TO MY TEACHERS... EAR POD ACTIVATED FOR CLASS...
THIS was awesome Karen (seeing the library)!!! I'm sorry I missed the opportunity to donate but looking forward to doing so in the future (there is more that we need and can do).
Thank you Dr Carr and Professor Hunter for all you do. Sis Aya has our support in all she is doing. Ankh Udja Seneb and Good Black August to you! ❤🖤💚🙏🏽✊🏾
Hey Prof Hunter👋🏽. Hey Dr. Africana Carr 👋🏽. I see ur book collection or library is growing too Prof Hunter😉. The collective library is going to be awesome 👏🏽🤓 Thanks for showing us the lovely children. So proud of what u’ve done and what u’r doing. So proud✊🏽❤️🖤💚. Confidence & Prosper are such wonderful names. Totally agree w u Prof Hunter on the names. So powerful! Definitely a manifestation of the we!!! And what do we owe the future? So glad u mentioned the Baltimore Algebra Project. Loved I hear u & I understand u and the purpose of having two eyes, two nostrils, two ears, two hands & one mouth; all these r for input or for us to take it in & keeping it. Not gossip, or arguing, etc. P.s. I knew it had to be something to Pelosi going over to Taiwan🤨. Thanx again Prof Hunter & Dr. Carr❤️🖤💚
All kinds of ashe's and greetings of the highest order to you both> Just reflecting on those days (late 60's- 70's) - hat narrow window when my own mother was a civil rights activist, I had the great opportunity and honor to learn from such folks as the late, great William Lynch and a host of others... Was even president of the Black Sudent Union in my own school.... Now, I am in Europe..... MARVELLING over how I can still learn so much from these classes and can recall many of the details which are, thanks to you both, coming all together !!! Our collectively memory may be our greatest strength ( and salvation)- leading to the building of that "Promised Land". THAN K YOU SO MUCH!!! (writing from Poland).
You two are my Saturday Heartbeat 💓 I swear I need to meet you Professor Karen and you Dr Carr, I love you so much!! Call me Karen🙂 This class was outstanding 👏🏽 Thank you . Ase Hotep
Hello to you both 💕 love you guys. I all read love the topic you will be discussing can't wait to hear ur commentary and comments. Have a blessed and amazing weekend enjoy 👋
Ever appreciative of this weekly space. Thanks Profs! Those babies were inspiring & a breath of fresh air. ❤🖤💚 The recounting of the man who spent 42 years in prison was so tragic. The way this "experiment" has stolen, corrupted & annihilated those deemed as "the others" is inexplicably inhumane by every measure & definition.😪 Stay well. I'm out to find more books from Dr. Carr's shelf. 🥰
Thank you for saying that Africans were the only humans at one point in our human history! I believe that truth whole-heartedly. My burning question is how did caucasians come about? Could you also give us references / research etc. I am very interested in studying this. I'm currently reading Dr. Ivan Van Sertima.
Thank you 😊 started out today with my anxiety on high looking forward to this class and I can tell you that I'm centered thank you again Dr Carr and Professor Hunter!🌹🌹🌹
OPOBO KINGDOM🎉!!!!! My 1st AfricaN DNA match on Ancestry is a member of the family of King Jaja from the Opobo Kingdom! 🥹😁😄 Those babies are just beautiful!
Hotep Dr. Karen. the connection to the library in Africa was ok, but there was a delay in the speaking going back and forth. If eache side will pause before answering or speaking the the rhythm will be in sync and it will go smoothly. How adorable were those babies?
I was at Morgan State University while Dr. Billingsley was president from '77 - '81. I participated in putting on Black History Week we had a panel with Haki, Sonia and Dr. Billingsley.
You are so right Professor Hunter it's about community I been working with brothers and sisters in my community through sports and spending time listening and talking to them
Jackson was required reading for my 200 level AA history class. Didn't know it was out of print, got it from the Shrine (at that time only one). The photo of Ali that hangs on my living room wall is the one of Ali with the leaders of AIM at Wounded Knee. Loved how Confidence talked with her hands, beautiful. Wouldn't it be a beautiful (and this word doesn't do justice) if all children in the diaspora and on the continent could regularly speak to each other.
I had fallen asleep and woke up just as the babies from Opobo Kingdom came on. I’d only heard of it from cousin Depiere❤. I pray I get the opportunity to go to Nigeria with my son during my life and meet my people- both Yoruba and certainly Igbo!
Good afternoon. And Yes Good everything and everywhere we are.and this is where we recognize and remember the positive that we bring. Class is indeed in session…

Talking about names, I took a taxi home yesterday and the driver, who is from Nigeria, first name was Godswill. Not African phonetically but in meaning.
Good afternoon from Atlanta Ga love me some Dr. Carr and Professor Hunter ready for my nourishment of knowledge and what I need to navigate in these white settler states thank you 👏🏾💙💜
Greeting from Philly. Just picked up the book "American Saturday" by Clark Howard. A writer who grew up one block away from George Jackson in Chicago's slums. He examines in detail the men, women, and events that converged at San Quentin on the day that Jackson and five other inmates were killed. Howard had a father in prison and a mother who was an addict. Howard became a crimw writer while Jackson was killed in prison. Inside flap: Clark was white and George was Black. Could race alone explain the astonishing divergence of their destinies?
Oh how exciting that you guys are connected to a whole different part of the world in this way. I love it!!! 💕💕 Yoga? It's such a spiritual exercise. And to celebrate and learn together in our space....karen .....may the light always shine for our cause.💕💕
Terrorists connected to the SC and gets to go to work everyday took me out 😂😂😂. Dr. Carr was coming in a Honda today baby😂🤣. I love it. Keep us grounded Knarrative.
The children from Opobo remind me of my Ibani language when I was growing up during my childhood days in Port Harcourt. I had friends from Finima of the old Bonny kingdom who are original Ibani language speakers. Imiebam ! Thank you 🙏 for bringing back some precious memories. Initially I thought the word Ibani has the letter g in it. Cross checking I learned it’s spelt without letter g.
You right! There should be consequences for those who make false statements and accusations against black Americans regarding our justice claim to reparations and a specific political agenda that repairs the harms of our social casting.
