This was my 2nd day on Elden Ring, I had about two hours of time played and now I have 11:30hr I followed this video step by step and now I just completed the tutorial and I have learned a lot about the game and have progressed a lot thank you so much.
For the knight that drops the communion seal. If you suck like me, stand in the archway right before you step into the room proper. Let the chariot kill the guys behind you. As soon as it turns around and goes back down the ramp, run about halfway between the archway and the ramp and immediately turn and start firing Mighty Shot w/ Fire Arrows. He seems to get staggered by each one, and if you're quick enough you can kill him in about 5-6 shots before the chariot comes back. Less risk of mistiming a jump (like I did on the first attempt) and getting combo'd. As soon as you jump down and make your way to the Erdtree's Favor talisman, be careful because there's two imps in the hallway before the stairs in front of the flamethrower statue. You can shoot the statue with an arrow to disable it, without having to bait it to activate the first time and get cooked when you underestimate the range like I did lol. There's also an imp hiding in a little cubby hole right before you reach the statue, which will probably wait to wake up until you walk past. I just killed it to be safe. Figured I'd pass this info along to spare others my pain. Good luck!

Also there's a strategy where you can infinitely farm the dragon by getting on your horse just as you deal the final blow and racing towards the nearby grace. If you get off the horse and use the grace before the dragon finishes dying you can reset it and still gain the Runes from killing it. Rinse and repeat for as many runes as your little dragon murdering heart desires. Kind of renders the Fowl Foot part of the guide mute as well...
4:23 keep heading straight and kill a scarab ( it does explode and kill you if near it )for another somber stone also a somber 9 stone close by should be a lower path heading towards the tower with a circle of chairs
you can go for +1 to +9 somber within 1 hours (no boss) 1-4 from iji, 5 at caelid, 6-7 at volcano manor (teleport from abductor in academy), 8-9 at caelid which mean you can go for +9 dragon communion seal or +9 reduvia yes you can access academy without beating anything in stormveil castle
@@TyeDye622 not really since the only "advance" you take is the valcano short cut from the academy since you need to access academy, one npc dialogue will change (but you can still do his quest just fine) and by gaining access to volcano manor I'm not sure if the guy at the warmaster shack will move or not (but you can still progress his quest) TLDR: Can still do side quests, pretty safe there's a video about 1 to 9 somber just type on youtube "Elden ring somber 1 to 9" (I recommend just skipping 1 to 4 and get it from iji)

There is an easier somber smithing stone 1 in Limgrave. After the bridge with the Nights Calvary there is a body sitting in a chair to the right. Somber stone 1 is there

After that run into the hallway where there's a indent that you can't be killed by the chariot guy make sure he follows. Then wait for the chariot to come back and kill the guy with the seal then wait for the chairoit to pass then pick up the seal. Hopefully this helps somebody.
cool thing about the video is anybody can do it if they follow what you did but not everyone will take the time to do it. Also having a weapon early game like that is cool and being able to farm easier and get the build you want for you later is dope as well
Easiest way to kill the knight for the communion seal. Before entering his room, turn around and wait for the chariot to come up. once it goes back down, wait for it to make a left turn at the bottom. Once then, shoot the knight with arrows until he teleports out to you. Then run back into the room. The chariot should be coming back up right in time to run him over killing him instantly. Wait for the chariot to go back down before running out and claiming the reward.
13:10 explaining to you, the damage glitch happens eventually when you wait to replenish your stamina but not fill it up all, when 97% full stamina (around, ok!) you start back on hit the dragon. Suddenly your damage drastically increased. I discovered this by myself 😅
it doesnt really matter what build you plan on using, as long as you kill the dragon you will have enough runes to level vigor to at least 40 which means your never gonna die for like the next 50 hours or so
guys instead of looting all those smithing stones directly kill crystal boss skips many steps if dont wanna do the entire thing get dragon seal upto +4 and and use bloodflame blade also , u can repeatedly farm the dragon good luck
It's been this way since Dark Souls became popular. These "early" builds have you going over halfway through the game before fighting the first boss. But it works!
I'd say if your strapped for time ymaf vids are the best for early op stuff too. Got a samurai build. 1hr 30mi took me on my second playthrough figure lets try it out . Nets you death poker and resources to get it or any other somber weapon to +9 within 1hr 30 if youre just enjoying the scenery hah tho before doing varres quest for the bird farm i suggest not to level up your somber weapon passed +4 takes ages finding people for the multiplayer invasions
I just found out like last night that the reason I wasn't doing any damage to bosses was because I needed these damn stones to upgrade my Uchigatana, I've been hoarding them the whole game up until the Draconic Tree Sentinel that I can't get passed because my Summoning Pools is broken and never lets me request help.
don't forget to murder the FINGER dude by the Muckwater cave for the Reduvia you can get pretty quickly but i would still scale up a Dagger as the mainhand to spell buff daggers for me JUST SO much more satisfying for Bleed stacking, epscially cos you can stun lock with enough stam, i gotta figure how to get blood flame and Frenzied flame still trying to remeber where everything is to build a fast route
Another thing: you should keep the chicken foot equipped on the bar and proc it right after killing the dragon. It takes at least 10 seconds for the dragon to die.
@@NaegeruGaming Still doesn't make a difference unless you're going for repeat kills. It's not like you're going to use any items. Also, Lordsworn Greatsword with Bloody Slash for bleeding procs on horseback since it has better reach.
Well.. Faith is the debatable part, depending on your build. If you just want a pure bleed katana build. 12 is plenty. I think a lot of people are doing a 50dex/30arcane build.

Using Wild Strikes with the Morningstar against the Crystellian made short work of it after it wiped me while using non-blunt weapons

Does it have to be 12 faith and 10 arcane or can you continue to upgrade them as you see fit???
Of course, those are just minimum requirements. A lot of the good dragon communion incantations will require more points to faith and arcane
Definitely keep upgrading arcane and faith. I generally go with 45 arcane and enough faith to cast whatever I wanted to use
You should also take into considrration the scaling of a weapon or sacred seal thar you want to use when leveling up your stats.
