Aaron Neville is one of the most underrated singers in rock history. That man can sing and has one of the best voices in rock...
.......... and country, and R&B, soul and jazz.... and just about any genre that he sings in!
Yep.. I loved Linda, but if you listen to this it's clear that Aaron stole the show.. What a voice!!
@@timgallagher1041 to be fair how gracious of Linda to give Aaron the space to shine here, not trying to overshout him or any nonsense.
Linda Is also great and their voices together are gold
This comment again. It’s the same about 99.9% of artists. And it’s crap
They could sing the dictionary and sound phenomenal. This was one of my favorites 💗
I have aways adored Aaron Neville. His voice has always touched me deeply. Gorgeous vocalist.
Aaron Neville has a voice that you'll never forget once you hear it. And Linda Ronstadt and Mr Neville sound great together. I've been a fan of both for many years and always will be.
This must be the best love song of all time. 😊Timeless, gives me goosebumps.
Willie Nelson once said "There are Only two types of men. Men who are in love with Linda & Men who haven't heard of Linda" SHE WAS A KNOCK OUT in the 1960s-1980s!!
I'm the first type!
Same here. When I was 13 I bought a poster of her at Spencer's,the one where she had a flower in her hair.I fell in love with a girl a few months later who looked a lot like her!
I do know at least one woman that didn’t love her, Robin Quivers, when Linda attacked her on the tonight show. Linda even say “It’s not my place “ and then proceeds to go after another guest. I think if she had something to say to Robin, the classy thing to do would have been to speak to her backstage in private. Attacking her in front of everyone was tacky in my opinion, and Robin did a good job of replying considering she was completely blindsided, but you be the judge: ruclips.net/video/9ulAgvHs1cI/видео.html Having said that, Linda is of course tremendously talented, just perhaps not very gracious.
It's so sad that she can't sing anymore. Parkinsons disease is the reason. Such a beautiful song.
she recently said she only sings with her family, like always. That's nice.
She sings every time I hear this song.
Breaks my heart for her. Even now she's just class.
Younger people don't realize how much of a big deal them singing a love song to each other, AND that little kiss at the end, were, back in the day. It's good to see how far we've come. [We still have a LONG way to go.]
Yep. Notice how when they embraced the producers cut to a camera 90 yards away.
Yes we have come a long way...but we still have a long way to go.
Color needs to b extinct.
We r Human's
Humanity will either embrace every1 as equal or we will continue the cycle of hate & oppression of each other.
I choose the fact, we r ALL Humans & our Creator made us ALL & in him, we r ALL brothers & sisters & his children.
By choosing hate because of the color of some1's skin is Slapping ur Heavenly Father in the face & showing that u r NOT a true Christian.
The Bible & Jesus teaches ALL Christians that ALL of us r equal, created equal, loved equal, & we will b judge equally- regardless of ur skin color.
This is just my opinion & my understanding of the Bible & thoughts as a Christian.
@@JoeHaynie_VJ I didn't realise the Grammy's had slightly rascist undertones
We have come a long way and the left is trying their best to destroy it.
Aaron Neville had four platinum albums and four Top 10 hits R&B and soul , jazz, country . Linda Ronstadt also had a wide range of genres. She's a Grammy, Emmy, Latin Recording, Country etc. award winner. I love her cover of You're No Good recorded by Dee Dee Warwick. Sister of Dionne Warwick. This is bringing so many good songs to my memory. Dionne had so many hits.
Aaron and Linda have unique voices. This song is beautifully sung by them. Great duo.
What a great song, and even more amazing duet!
Aaron Neville of the Neville Brothers, and Linda Rondstandt, both icons of the modern music industry. Unfortunately, Linda Rondstant lost her voice to Parkinson's, but we have this to remember how amazing she was! Nope, they were never a couple, but both are highly respected and legendary artists!
That was an amazing duet! Their voices blend so well together. You can tell there was a mutual love and respect between them too. I believe they were great friends!
This was a Grammy Awards performance. Beautiful. It’s so sad that Linda is suffering from Parkinson’s disease and can no longer sing.
Arron Neville just makes your heart Happy. Linda and Arron go together like strawberries and cream.
I love me some Aaron Neville. The song Tell it Like it is....
Linda has a incredible voice. She could have easily over powered Aaron here. She is way under rated as a vocalist.
BBBYpsi well said....
@@oldmanferguson1 some people did Not giver her the status and praise she deserved. I read a negative in Rolling Stone that was outrageously WRONG, they said she didn't emote enough in her songs. Which is laughable, since she surely did. BUT, she was a superstar.
She seemed to let him be the "lead" in the song. But that's what duets do sometimes. She performed/recorded with him before
Linda sang to serve the music, not show off her voice.
Definitely. She was holding back for some reason. Linda is the most amazing singer. I was fortunate to be raised on her voice.
Quite possible the best duet ever!
The respect and love those two had for each other made their friendship unbreakable and still exists to this day. He will say she is an angel and she says he is an angel.
I love this song! I remember watching this as a kid and loving it. Growing up in SC during the 80’s I remember the backlash in a small southern town of a bi-racial duet and when they kissed at the end being a big deal to some. It taught me that no matter how sheltered and what background you come from; love is love! So glad you reacted and shared this brings back beautiful memories ❤️🙏🥰
Pure chemistry. Love harmonies like that.
Bro, you just reacted to a masterpiece, one of the best duets I've ever seen. They get along so great together.
they won the Grammy
Beautiful......
Their chemistry is through the roof. One of top love songs EVER sung. Still hugs my heart every time.
@@shevawn1973 True. I am so sorry for Aaron Neville. In my opinion he is the best R&B voice ever and not only. Underrated, because, like MJ in his second half of his career, didn't want to go along with the dark side of the music industry.
Greatest duet ever.
This song and their voices goes right thru your souls
Linda's voice is perfectly pure and clear. Aaron Neville's voice is perfectly flawed and raspy and textured. Together they blend perfectly together. You can tell the way they look at each other that they truly love and respect each other. I am not talking about love in a romantic way but a deep friend love.
Linda was one of the honorees at the Kennedy Center last year. Neville and Trisha Yearwood sang that song in tribute to her. Linda can't sing anymore and has a severe neurological disease, but she was there to see and hear them.
I’m just sad that everyone doesn’t know this song. ❤️❤️❤️
A great song delivered with a unmatchable performance by two enormous talents. We have been blessed by so much talent but where now are the worthy current replacements we crave?
My favorite Christmas song is Aaron Neville singing “Oh Holy Night”. With his voice and the song, it’s unbelievably beautiful!! ❤️🎵
I adore Aaron Neville's singing. Yellow Moon is a favorite.
Have had this song stuck in my head for DAYS! Have been playing it over and over. Love the way their voices compliment each other. Have always loved Linda Ronstadt and madly fell in love with Aaron Neville when I first heard his voice back in the 80's. The way he utilizes his talents are unimaginable! I enjoyed your reaction to this video. Just wish you hadn't sent me to Sesame Street! BTW It was a duet with Ernie "I Don't Want To Live On The Moon" their voices to not compliment each other. lol. But the man (Neville) can sing runs like no other! LOVE!
Awe I love his voice such good memories with this song
My favorite male singer! Love Linda Ronstadt too!!
I remember watching this on TV! Just beautiful!
"The Grand Tour" and "Everybody Plays the Fool" are two songs that really showcase for his voice. Linda Ronstadt is a legend, what a voice!
Love watching Aaron Neville perform. He and Linda Ronstadt are perfect together -- loved that kiss too.
Ty Aaron and Linda have another video of this song and you can feel the love they have for each other. Not as formal as this. What a duo each with a unique voice.
Heard this a thousand times... breaks my heart
She certainly have him center stage here which is typical of she gracious style.
Love these two together.....such an awesome song. ❤❤❤
Such a powerful song for many reasons. Two of the best voices ever recorded from an era where we did not think of color first and had no problem with the love they showed on stage. God I miss that era...
To all of you listening to this reaction video- you are going to enjoy this. But don’t stop there. as this gentleman suggest take time to see what he does, what he believes. I found him thru a reaction but happily discovered an amazing human who thinks a lot like me, a 60+ year old white woman. Look people, you just have to stop making assumptions and look for the wonder in the differences and commonalities in our human race. It’s an amazing world filled with amazing people. He warms my heart.
They were´nt together. She just was very supportive of his career. They had another hit as a duet, "All my Life". Listen to Linda with the Muppets. she did several songs but maybe "Blue Bayou" is the best. Hear more of her. She has country, rock, ballads...big band....you name it. Successful in all of them. She had another duet with James Ingram, "Somewhere outthere" from than Disney movie about a lost mouse.
I disagree with Blue Bayou...nothing compares to Roy Orbison. Her cover was ok, but I just didn't care for it that much because I kept comparing it. However, I really liked her song Poor Poor Pitiful Me. : )
I agree accept, they truly did love each other. I watched Linda on a talk show. they were not "In Love" with each other but they truly loved and cared for each other more than most.
She had so many big hits. Blue Boyou is considered one of her best. I personally prefer Long Long Time. Her voice is not talked about as one of the best ever but she should be in top 5-10 for sure
She date Aaron for three years.

Beautiful song, great artists, Linda please know we love you.
Linda has sung the entire variety of songs including Rock, Country, Classic, Opera, and Spanish songs.
Aaron on sang mostly with his brothers band, The Nevill Brothers.
His biggest hit was “Tell It Like It Is” a great song.
He really does love her. This song was heart felt to both of them. 💜
Aaron Nevell sang with his brothers at Tippatinas in New Orleans. "Tell it like it is" is the song that made him a star.
Have always loved both of these guys as solo artists, and I just love this duet. They were no longer young at the time they recorded this, but did a great job, seemingly not to have lost any of their vocal abilities. I don't know if they had a romantic relationship, but they sure played like it during this performance! Great job!
I think their deep mutual respect and loving friendship made it easy for them to play their parts.
His voice was PURE ...exact!
Aaron went Live on Facebook Sunday afternoon, and sang for an hour and a half. It was wonderful.
Linda holds back so much here… clearly showcasing Aaron’s amazing talent. Two of the best singers ever. Count myself lucky to have seen them both live…
Best duet ever performed/recorded hands down
They’ve never been together, Linda is a lifelong friend of Aaron and his late wife
This performance was at the Grammy's, which they won for best duo.
I would encourage you to watch the CNN special on Linda Rondstant, she has has an amazing career.
She had a band that toured with her who later became known as The Eagles.
I had totally forgotten about this duet. Thank you so much for bringing it back. Lovely.
Thanks for listening
@@Modern-Renaissance-Man I am playing catch up with your posts. Love your other channel too. You are a fine example of what a Christian man is supposed to be.
This song was our wedding waltz 30 years ago and we're still deeply in love ❤❤❤😊
I've often read articles that said Aaron Neville is literally one of the nicest guys anyone could meet. I don't know if that's true or not, but I know the man can sing!
I was lucky enough to meet him in the Houston airport years ago. He sat and talked with me for over an hour. Amazing and kind man.
He and his brothers are great men, even more so now that he has beat his addiction. In 1986 my mother was on her way to new orleans to spend a week with my father who was working in new orleans at the time. Her car broke down on the atchafalya bridge which is a stretch of highway over the swamp about 15 miles long. Aaron and his brother were on there way back to New Orleans to do a gig and saw my mom and pulled over and then gave her a ride to my dads apartment in New orleans. She had nothing but great things to say about them. I love his music but love him more for what he did for my mother. I was 13 at the time.
I use to watch him at Jazz fest in NOLA for YEARS! WONDERFUL MAN! I grew up meeting him after all his shows as kids. He always hugged everyone and posed for unlimited photos!
@@devindonovan5572 How awesome! 🙂💕
@@gregntx73 How nice, I love hearing stories like this about artists 🙂💕
They matched the vibrato in their voices to blend perfectly! As they yell in opera Bravo!
Love Aron's voice it's unique, listen to his song tell it like it is.
The chemistry these two have together is so incredible. Just wish they had stayed together!!
Currently practicing this song for karaoke with a dear friend. Absolutly beautiful song and RUclips has many of the variations.
Peace and long live to you all x
Aaron is the guy he makes you smile he touches your soul
Great duet. Two iconic voices.
This is one of my favorite go to songs when i just need to relax and think.. Love it a million times over...
Linda is a living legend... you all need to watch the movie “Linda Ronstadt: The Sound of my Voice”. Her career crossed so many genres. Her recordings with the Nelson Riddle Orchestra are amazing.
I remember hearing this for the first time in 1989, on an old Walkman, at a bus stop.Even then I knew I was listening to something great.Keep that great music coming brother TY! Grace and Peace to You
Great reaction vid. In case no one filled you in, Aaron & Linda were together for 4 years back then. Such a great vocal pairing :D
I almost cry every time I play this performance!!!!!
Just to let you know that first, Linda helped Aaron go on his own, after leaving his brothers (Aaron and the Neville Brothers) and NO, they are not a couple. They recorded this song and Aaron told Linda that he'd see her at the Awards and that is where you see them. Second, the Executives were a bit nervous about letting them perform it live, so that is why first, they danced and then they did it on purpose to kiss and Linda resting her head on his shoulder. That was their moment to shine, not the Executives. Third, Linda was a powerhouse and could have blown him or any other partner she does duet with, but she tones it down so that her partners can shine. What a Lady. They are great friends.
Memory lane once again. It’s so fun to listen to songs from years gone by that you just forgot about. Thanks for sharing. 😁
Love Aarons Voice. So many hits he has had. And DEAR LORD! Linda, predominately country in her early years, but that voice is of an angel. Also that song he sung with Ernie from Seseme Street was I think, "I don't want to visit the moon". but I could be wrong.
❤️ Love this song!
I love the radio version of this. Their harmony and vibrato are just beautiful together.
Linda Ronstadt, one if the most beautiful voices of our age. Too ill to sing any longer.
Linda had a career that started in the mid 60s reaching rock and country rock stardom in the 70s and had a relationship with Jerry Brown, gov of ca.
Aaron....besides being able to sing anything has great brothers just as talented and they sing great gospel music.
I loved, love that they danced together right there in front of the audience. They really make wonderful music together. It was just too perfect not to be more than what we saw on the stage. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!!
No autotune no nothing, just pure raw vocals 😍😍😍
Always have loved this duet.
I could watch you smile all day. Keep it up. 😉
Aaron Neville is one of my favorites ever. You can feel his beautiful soul when he sings like no one else.Unfortunately, an unratted artist, probably because he didn't go with the dark side of the music industry.
I love Linda alot and I cheerish her songs. Specially her Spanish songs.
this song makes me cry
Great duet!
Yes this brings back memories of my late teens. The harmonies are so sweet. Linda Ronstadt has a beautiful voice and my favourite song of hers is “blue bayou”. Thank you for the great memories
Mr smith you're doing a good job these are beautiful songs and you're getting right in to it I like that
Absolutely beautiful!!
Together there voices are as good as it gets!
Absolutely beautiful!!!!!
A good duet for sure. @Modern Rennisance Man a great duet was done by Allison Krause and the late Keith Whitley. It was made after his death. He had a No.1 hit with it as a single and so did she. But to hear them sing "together", is nothing short of electric. The name of the song is When You Say Nothing At All. * Just a little side note: my husband Mike and I have been married for 38 years and this is "our song". Stay Blessed!!🦁✝️🐑🎶
I saw a recent clip where Aaron sang this song with Tricia Yearwood and Linda sat at a table watching them sing. It just broke my heart she is not able to perform anymore, beautiful voice. Her applause to them was the loudest of all.
These two voices are perfectly paired. Not my style of music but could listen to it anytime!
Ty as in tylenol as you take away my headache and make me feel better. Love her voice.
I forgot to tell you this song has always meant a lot to me cause my sister passed away in a car crash and this song reminds me of her.
wow! I have always loved Linda's music, from rock to pop to big band to her Mexican roots, but I had not
heard much of Aaron's music. That ends now. I love his voice and intonations. thank you.
Love both of them ...............Thanks for sharing
One of my favorite songs this man a special voice I have most of his songs
They were an exciting couple that mesh together with great songs. Ty there's another song called All My Life from Linda Ronstadt & Aaron Neville. This song was like a wedding song. I like to C ur reaction to that song. God Bless
I love ❤️ this song. Wow
Both very talented. Aaron looks nervous , I think Linda did a good job at keeping his nerves calmed. I actually remember seeing this performance live. Thought the same thing then.
Their voices compliment each other beautifully.☺️
My priest told us that this is his song to God. Beautiful.
Beautiful song & harmonies! Great review!!!!!!
One of the best duets ever.
