I think the logic that they said in the stream was that if the pin changes work well, they'll apply it to everyone that pins (Cent and Glad for example). It's just in the TG that they didn't tweak everyone because it's a lot of work that may just get scrapped if it doesn't go well. And you can only use the reworked characters in the TG anyhow, so, Cent and Glad won't even be in play.
I stopped playing this game when they announced crossplay wouldn't happen anymore, I thought the game was doomed and it wouldn't survive another year. Now here we are in year 8 with crossplay and I just got back to the game as well finding matches in less than 3 minutes (which is quite surprising ngl). Yeah, I think this game keeps breathing somehow and people keeps going back to it for some reason.
Could have sworn they said they hit 35 million players reached over the course of its life. They don’t need to save it. 8 years is one hell of a life for a game and it’s still getting funding.
Hey Tommy, comp player here, I think the reason why Jorm is getting the dmg reduction but not Cent is because after the knockdown by Jorm you can still chain into a lets say light or zone, so the hammer slam still counts as a chain, whereas Cent's is not a chain. Hope this helps!
Mmh no, these heroes that they showed are just placeholder heroes, you will be able to use ONLY those heroes they showed in the upcoming tg because they first wanted to see how these changes turns out; but if the tg gets a positive feedback and ubi actually implement the new hitstun changes to the live game then EVERY pin will be affected (yes, cent as well). Them going for jorm instead of cent is just an ubi moment

I think what would really save the game is not releasing heroes until they have something interesting in plan and instead focusing on other things, it takes them 5 new heroes to come up with something new
The only way year 8 truly survives is if they turn those limited time evenwts into full modes..8 years later and we’re still the same generic domination match meanwhile siege added like 5 diffrent modes with 3 playlist to choose from

I bought this game this weekend, i always liked it, but i didnt have a machine that could run it at the time, and on friday youtube kindly reccomended a for honor video, so here i am playing for honor for the first time in 2024, an honestly its kinda my fav game rn, i played helldivers as well, its a cool game and all, but the hype is waaaay to big imo, i like this game way more
i hope they do fix it and hopefully they can do something about cheating, i played 3 matches in a row and each one had a different cheater, one was lag switching and just throwing attacks that you couldn't do anything about, a scripter that dodged any and every bash even if you delayed them, and someone that had auto parry and was lag switching.
Let's be honest the game doesn't have cross save yet in 2024 year 8 that just shows that ubi don't care much imo a game nowdays should have cross-save and cross platform to succeed to its fullest potential

The game is always going to be garbage and only people that are consistently playing for honor will stay with for honor nothing that they do will have people coming to this game and staying with the game only a rare few might The thing I find very bad about this game is in4v4s alot of people like to babysit each other makes the game less fun and then you have most of the characters that are really safe to play and I find that makes it really stupid

I don't think Year 8 can save FH. This game just is not very welcoming to newer players. I hope the changes will make the game a bit more fun, but I agree they'll probably make it to year 10. I originally thought this game was ending after Zhanhus season years back so who knows 😂
If only there was a “training” mode for “learning” or a more “arcade”y experience, maybe a PvE mode for newer players so they can learn the basics of each character or playing with “friends”

I started to play For Honor in Jan this year and I still love it. It’s so damn fun and I can’t get enough of the violence.
