    Many reviewers miss the fact that the Marshall portables have a speaker on the back along with the port. Put this speaker in a corner or closer to a wall and the sound will project and be much bigger than what you hear than just sitting out in the open. The Marshall wins hands down.

    As an xb501g owner is like to clarify a few things.
    From my experience it is fine to watch videos with, there’s no latency with most video apps I’ve used like hulu, Netflix, browser videos. The only app that has latency is RUclips.
    As for battery life I definitely doesn’t get the full 16 hours with all the bells and whistles on, but I bought it for partys and its typically lasted all night, dying or needing a charge some time in the morning. I’d say around 10 hours, possibly just under.
    Audio quality: I can’t speak for how it compares to the other 2 speakers as I don’t own them and videos will never do them justice. But it definitely gets loud enough to fill a room, although can get distorted at max volume. It is most likely the muddiest sounding of the bunch but depending on your taste you may not mind a less clear sound but punchier bass.
    That’s my piece, I enjoy the speaker quite a bit, although I’m definitely keeping the extreme 2 in mind now since it definitely wins in the portability department and the bottle opener would be a nice bonus for party’s

    • @Alex-by7rn
      @Alex-by7rn 4 года назад

      Kiefer Wickham is out loud enough for a party? And is the sound quality still good when it’s loud and is the bass good? Or is the bigger Sony speakers better

    • @volcalstone
      @volcalstone 4 года назад

      I have the same speaker too and it doesn't lag on videos so I could confirm this. Overall I do like now it sound and it does get loud. The bass is punchy but it doesn't get as low as the HK studio 5 of mine. The Sony does sound better when casting it to it tho so people need to consider that as well. WiFi audio will always sound better then smh BT transmission due to higher stream rate. The only thing I don't like about my Sony is that the battery doesn't hold well when it's off. Just strange as if they used some cheap battery or so but it's a Sony!

    I'm sticking to Sony. I currently own an xb40 and I'm very satisfied with it even after seeing video reviews which didn't do it real justice. I previously owned an xb2 and was also satisfied with it. With my Sony speakers I don't just hear the music, I feel it too.
    The music quality is more than good enough for me and the bass is solid which is just my thing.
    I'd purchase the Sony 501g over these other two without thinking twice even after seeing this review.

    I just bought Kilburn II. It got very good sound quality. It's built of HQ materials, and working great. But there is one problem. When You try to use it with TV or laptop, after 10 minut of silence it go to standby (sleep), even when it's plugged in. And it will not turn itself on when you play something. You must click button by hand, which is very frustrating. Except that, it is nice product.

    1st: JBL
    2nd: Kilburn
    3rd: That weird Square looking thing lol
    Marshall makes amps for rock/metal; Metallica, megadeth, pantera, guns n Rose's etc... Sony makes good headphones, Consoles (with the exception of the ps3 lol), and TVs. JBL makes amazing Bluetooth speakers so it's no surprise they would sound the overall best. The kilburn would probably smoke the JBL if they were both playing hard rock or Metal and the Sony speaker... well it wasn't bad. I'm pretty confident it would sound 10x better compared to the beats pill🍻

      Thanks for the reply, so the 1.9 update is better then, I was just worried because people were saying it made their speaker worse.
      Hopefully mine will be OK.

    I thinked that the Marshall and Sony will play louder than the JBL but they dont. The loudest speaker was the JBL Xtreme 2.

    Got that sony XB501G for Xmas completely dead new out box! Seems to be locked in some software restart boot loop! Won't switch on won't power off! Won't charge more than 10%! Software issues so beware of new 1.76 update! Mines being returned as brand new faulty don't known if want a replacement if it happens again there's no way to get it unfrozen so to say! Then power button is used as reset but all buttons are frozen so yeah can't factory reset it!

    Xtreme or Xtreme 2? Both are 200€ now in Germany, so which should I buy?

    • @eshankush
      @eshankush 5 лет назад +1

      Bro if you're more of a hip hop person, which gives out more treble in the music get Xtreme but if you're more of a techno or psychedelic music person which needs more clear base punches get the Xtreme 2. Cause basically the Xtreme has excessive base which you'll notice in the base focused music but that's neutralized in the Xtreme 2. So if you want a louder and more base speaker get the Xtreme and if you're looking for the perfect audio just because you are into detailed music then get the Xtreme 2

    So the sony has a dedicated active 4.9in subwoofer going by its manual. What does it sound like putting it against a corner as per subwoofer placement? Due it not having a port I do believe it may have more potential for bass if placed accordingly. I do like inbuilt subwoofers in bluetooth speakers and not many have this feature except the exos 9, jvc boomblaster, big blue party etc. What do u think the wattage is for the sony?

    Nice videos, have watched several and have helped me alot. I would always like to hear a classical music piece (not only jazz since it has a lot of winds and drums) in all the speaker reviews to hear what piano and other instruments sound, that would be very useful (since I wold use speakers half of the time or more to listen to music without "beats" or lyrics). Thank you :)
