    Can you tell me (us) how you like the kayak. It seemed real stable. I am considering buying one here in Connecticut. They are not cheap, but I am thinking about the Lynx, a Compass or an Outback. Thanks for the video. Maybe someday I'll fish your lake. I used to live in Columbia now that I am newly retired, maybe it is time to go back to SC.

      I like it and thinking about getting a 2nd one. It is so much lighter than compass and outback but don't take my word for it there are comparison videos out there too. Love my Lynx!

    I just got mine and rigged it up. Any suggestions of good put in spots? I was raised on lake Murray before a house was in it but always when I had the boat out in at south shore marina where my boat was kept. I want mellow spots. Any suggestions are really appreciated. I’m a female and don’t want to do what the men do until I’m more experienced. Thank you! 😊

    Nice Lynx, just becareful handling that because the foam/thin plastic hull is more sensitive than your typical hard plastic kayak. Drop it hard on any sharp object and it'll put a permenant dent, something that can be easily fix with plastic epoxy weld.

      Ok thanks, do you have experience with the Lynx kayak?

      @@peterp9007 Yes I got one last Friday and took it out for fishing inshore already, dropped it on some rock and had a small dent :) Was quickly patched up with plastic putty which dried and harden like a rock. It's super stable, very light and easy to manuver, but it's a wet ride so anything you don't want wet, put them in dry box/bag.

    Hey Peter. Nice catch. I'm looking at the Lynx and noticed there was a lot of water noise/slap in your video. Is the sound overwhelming or too loud? Thanks.

    • @peterp9007
      @peterp9007  3 года назад

      It's not that loud but yes there is slap on the front. If you are hauling or have big waves out front but I don't notice it when going normal speed. I might add some rubber damper or something later on to solve this but overall the kayak is pretty stealthy in the water.

      I own an Outback and a Lynx and the wave sounds are more apparent on the Lynx. But man, is it fast and light!

    I live on Lake Murray and always cruising around in my Hobie Revo 13. How fast is the Lynx? As I get older I am looking for something comfortable, light weight and durable. Would you recommend the Lynx. By the way....great video.

      Thanks, the Lynx is super fast/durable in fact I was in a bind around 4th of July weekend. Launched from Hilton went out to Wessinger island was good went further to WIndward island caught a fish but heading back I was worried in the boat pass I would not make it thought that channel with boats coming in from left to right. No visible flag on the kayak paddled back fast with a catfish on stringer. Good luck finding a Lynx in SC had to drive out to Beaufort to get mine. Someone in the comments mentioned to maybe protect the front bow of the kayak if you happen to fish rocky areas or rivers though. Some minor hull slap but no biggie. When I pull out of Hilton landing I am pedaling just as fast as the pontoons are going out so you will get a lot of lookers and people stopping you to ask what the heck is that or where is the enngine?
