Yes, there are a lot of amigurumists who sell at markets and the "simple" patterns tend to work really well for them because they can mass produce them much more quickly and turn a profit doing so, which is great! I really enjoy working on the more detailed patterns but from time to time, if I want a little change, I'll make some of the more simpler patterns, which can be fun as well. I'm not so sure how the amigurumi that I make would fair at markets, but I have a feeling they wouldn't do as well. I hope to sell them in my Etsy shop (currently closed) eventually. I've tried and tried over the years with no success, but now I actually have a couple of knitted things to show in an upcoming video sometime . . . you know, as I work through the heap 😅. I hope to keep trying new knitting patterns and learning more so I can make more knitted doll clothes😍. Miko is doing great. She's actually got a finished make in that heap that I showed. I think she wanted to make more things before sharing it though, so cross fingers. I'm super happy with my new studio setup. I'm still working on storage though. I don't think I've made a seagull before 🤔 but I have made Victor Frog and Bonny Puffin from the Pica Pau 1 book and I don't particularly enjoy assembling the feet so I think I've been avoiding patterns with that kind of feet😅.
