#DDay #UnitedStates #Veterans
My grandfather passed on. He arrived in France D-day plus 9. They gave us a gift and didn't make a big deal about it. I love these guys so much it hurts.
R.I.P. To your amazing Grandfather, may he rest in peace
God rest his soul, he was a hero!
❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Merci à lui 🇫🇷
Rgss. I was born on the 6/6/69. Everyday I think about what these men gave so I could have freedom. My great uncle david mackenzie fought in north africa (lybia) and on to d/day. I will never forget, I teach my granddaughters about what was given for us.
soldiers, sailors, and airmen of the allied expeditionary corps, You will never be forgotten.
GOD BLESS THE VETS THAT SERVED IN WORLD WAR II. I hope the ones that fought that day are honored forever thank you all .
We cannot attest to how much we owe these veterans and how much peace we have now because of them. Yet another cycle begins when history will repeat itself soon which I pray won’t happen.
My Uncle Sally jumped on D Day. God bless ALL who gave their lives and ALL who served on D day and to ALL who serve today. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for ALL you do. We never forget our Vets. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
These men are amazing. I’d love to sit with them and let them tell me stories for hours. I’m 41. My grandfather was in WW2. He died in 2002. He used to tell stories when I was a kid. I certainly did not appreciate them as I should have back then. I’d love just 10 minutes more with that man to tell him how great he was and hear one more story. ❤
My Great Grandfather was a Tank Commander of a Sherman, he served until the end of Vietnam and died of lung cancer in 2003.
I remember my father telling me my grandfather would've been on that beach had he not been wounded shortly prior while in the war. God bless all those serving then and now
My great grandfather told me about how he scalped 15 German soldiers bc they killed his friend
There can never be enough thank you's said to these men of the greatest generation.
“The eyes of the world are upon you.”
The Greatest Generation
Respect to all these men who liberated France and Europe...
This day should be a national holiday..
It absolutely should
@@yearginclarke i agree
Love this guy. Salute to all of them. Some may think they aren't heroes, but the world is a better place because of heroes like them.
We love you Jake! Thank you and so many others of the Greatest Generation for your service!🇺🇸✌️💕
*Honor these people*
Absolutely the GREATEST GENERATION
Amazing stories from these humble soldiers
Respect and thanks from Rep. of Korea. Cannot stop shedding tears. Thank you, sir.
Today is June 6th I haven't heard a word of recognition honoring our men. Not a word pathetic ! The man across the street that taught me to drive was shot at Omaha Beach , my Uncle landed there as well. My dad was a medic in Patton's Army.
They celebrate lgbtq instead

Hi from Northern Ontario Canada....thank you for your service
Michael Kamen really did a very good job in creating theme song for Band of Brothers (played in the background of this clip). Its always give me goosebumps everytime I hear it.
great video for those Americans who joined the British, Canadians and other countries who allowed us to have freedom. WE SHALL NEVER FORGET. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
This is very amazing. Even 80 years later, it is still a great tragidy.
A very special day!!
That guy is energetic as ever.
Was there last week from 3rd - 10th of June and my god is it a special feeling. I'm pretty much obsessed when it comes to ww2 on learning and for the past 20 years been dreaming to go to Normandy and it finally happened.. The silence but extreme loudness of these beaches is beyond anything I could've imagined. Got myself a picture with Jake Larson and his card just before they left Omaha Beach on June 6th in the morning. Stood there at 06:00 AM next to +- 100 more people and reenactors to honor these men and women.
The feeling, vibes and masses of people in all the towns, memorials etc. Is just something you should witness and feel yourself. I can't thank these men and women enough for liberating us all, I hope to come back each year I possibly can
Thank you
Merci aux vétérans
Yes sir!
Thank you.
This is awesome
Amen
thank you Donnie Edwards and Best Defense Foundation!!
nice job on the Saving Private Ryan footage. You found the 3 seconds of the entire scene where nobody was dying or getting blown apart. that must not have been easy.
Finally D day is basic birthday of people rights democracy and freedom in western world. Never forget God bless all brave weteran ever and ever.
Salute
I was there, and met these men in 2023! It was the best vacation of my life. I had no indication where they would be, but looked for 3 days, then found them. Got to talk to 40 WWII veterans. Well worth the $2k plane ticket!
The way they speak, even at that age. Dignified, thoughtful, humility, get the point across clearly. Truly wish some young folks today took a lesson from them on how to carry yourself.
Absolutely.
Back when Americans stormed Nazi-occupied beaches instead of storming the U.S. Capitol.
U.S veterans are the true “Americans” 🇺🇸🦅 symbolism to this country land of freedom.
All due respect, no.
‘True’ Americans are full-blooded First Nations.
Everyone else is an immigrant.
🇺🇸❤️ from Italy
They shall not grow old
My great uncle was DDay +14

Om swastiastu Suksma, God bless the USA thanks.

So, not a word from Biden or the Democrats on remembrance of D Day. Sad. This is my "shocked face".
What do you expect from Brandon.
He’s too busy trying to find his dementia pills
Right on , Trump was no more than a draft dodger himself,,,,
Very shocking
SALUTE TO ALL ALLIED BRAVE HEROES SOLDIERS ....💖....GIVE THEY'RE LIFE FOR DEMOCRACY AND FREEDOMS .....REST IN PEACE ➕✝️🙏🕊️🌱✨🌈.....😭😭😭
💕❤
Thinking about how tomorrow it’s gonna be 79 years tomorrow
I was up all night stressing about it all but it turned out to be a great anniversary
We pull down their memorials shocking
I got a bit cringe at the freedom part but still thank to our vet
What’s with your so called reporter’s singsongy voice? Today’s ‘men’ couldn’t storm a lemonade stand.
Where’s Biden it’s shameful he’s not there
Apparently it’s so insignificant to our “president” he can’t even mention it until a 9 pm tweet. FJB
I celebrate this instead of pride month
no one downvote this
They forgot the Canadians, the British, the Polish, the Czechs etc
Why they didn't land somewhere else and attack from behind ???
Why didnt the shoot hitler with a tranquilizer gun from space? Oh thats right cuz this isnt the movies
Germans had amazing anti air fortifications also many top tier SS units approaching from the rear such as Das Reich
Airborne forces went behind German lines to halt advancing panzer divisions.
Prior to the invasion, allied intelligence had deceived the Germans into thinking they would attack the Calais with a fake inflatable army and it worked. Hitler, against the advice of his generals had diverted his divisions to the Calais instead of Normandy, leaving a poor Rommel with nothing left
If they landed on Pas-de-Calais which was the closest coast to reach when coming from England, the casualties would be more horrifying. The Allies built a fake base on the south-eastern coast of England to make the Germans think they’re landing on PDC which resulted in the Germans prioritising putting heavier defenses there. Little did they know they were actually gonna storm the Normandy beaches so the defenses were pretty light yet they still defended it like crazy. On the other hand they did drop paratroopers behind enemy lines in Normandy to sabotage all they can to make the landings go a big smoothly like taking down artillery and such yet due to bad weather conditions they had a rough start with squads getting scattered and lost and most landed miles away from their intended drop zone.
@@cloud2676 They rushed it out, so the Bolsheviks won't conquer the whole Europe.
They didn't "give" their lives. They were murdered. When they were killed, they were witness that rumors of war were true. The graves' inhabitants should stay there so that the gravy train can know that something happened here.
d day
Over 750,000 Americans ( combined total of both North & South ) died during the American Civil War. Many died from sickness!
They risked their life just to be on tik tok 78 years later
June 6, 1944, D-Day, what county? was Normandy in?
At the end of WW2, why did France get a part of conquered Germany?
They allowed France to have a piece so the soviets would get less
HONOR TO THE GREATEST GENERATION ALL AROUND THE WORLD AND DON'T FORGET THE RUSSIANS. WHO PUT THE NAZIS DOWN. ALWAYS WILL BE REMEMBERED
🤓🙏🌹🌹♥️☝️
America 🫡💪🏼
Things would've been vastly different in our present day if they hadn't done what they did.
we would be spitting every time we talk and i wouldnt be here rn
OH NO THE PLANE BLOWN UP
My grandfather died in the Battle of the Bulge. I never knew him since I was born in 1989.
Yes, honor the fallen, their families and the living. Soldiers and officers, heroes both, embody valor's creed, protecting with unwavering might and noble deed. Yes, and we should not allow Homeowners associations and their mgt/collections to ignore a disabled veteran's checks and communications, foreclose and not inform him of the sale. A $400k house with $300k in equity sold for pennies. It's a travesty of justice, unconscionable and unethical. It happened in Nevada and can happen in nonjudicial states. Call the lawmakers. He was Air Force, his Father WWII Navy, much of his family military, one a colonel who passed away and a friend, a Marine who was in Forbes.
sad to think that in just a few years there wont be any veterans left...
