So uh apparently Minecraft is 15 years old and its anniversary is today... oh well
because they count alpha and beta versions.
I'm really glad you brought up the essence of Minecraft that so many people miss. You really have to make your own fun, and that's the magic of it. So many people focus on new content and features instead of thinking about how they can engage with the game.
I tried playing minecraft like this once and it was actually super fun but being alone gets me sad after a few days

Ngl, you hit the nail on the head. This was very relateable and somewhat enlightening. A lot of vids on yt that talk about avoiding minecraft burnout don't really mention a change of playstyle, but moreso the mindset. So I think you did well explaining that in a way my monkey brain can understand 🦧

Btw, building around the landscape has always been my favorite way to build!
I used to make superflat creative worlds, sometimes with extra layers, stick a few tnt in the dirt to blow a hole in the ground, and think about how I'd go about making a base in it 💀😂
