When I was 14 I bought this car for 💯 bucks. My first car, that was 25 years ago. Greatest feeling ever when I finally got it fired up after sitting for years. Thank you Mazda for the memories

My parents bought a used one for me during the mid '80s when i was a student in Australia. It was a great little car and served me well. I really missed it!

One of the best cars I have ever driven. I learned how to drive on it. My father had one of them in 1979. It was still zero and was sold in the nineties. It is one of the unforgettable cars.

    Beautiful car and colour too.
I'm the owner of a Ford Laser 1982 with 125000 km on tne clock.
The same car as the Mazda 323 but with Ford logo...
This Laser is realiable as a modern car and the first Owner was my grandmother.
Greetings from Buenos Aires Argentina 🇦🇷 and sorry about my english..

Mi papá tuvo ese mismo en versión automática, lo tenía muy bien cuidado y mucha gente lo miraba por ser un modelo tan antiguo y bien cuidado.

I bought one in 1979 GLC and I had it for 10 years. Never had any mechanical problems and only standard maintenance and of course tires, batteries and brake replacements when needed. Have been buying Mazda cars ever since.

Tolles Fahrzeug! Glückwunsch. Bin kein Mazda-Spezialist, sieht aber schon sehr original aus. Vor Menschen, die auch andere als die typischen Mainstream-Klassiker erhaltenswert finden, ziehe ich den Hut.

That is one beautiful car! Understated and classy in the way that BMW used to be. Looks like it probably had high build quality too.

Agreed- it looks great. I can't tell if it's been super-well looked after, or if it's been meticulously restored!

One of the most beautiful Mazdas ever. Would have loved to have heard that sweet 1272cc engine and seen more of the interior.

@@danozism Whaaaaat? 3 times? Amazing! That '78 1415 cc model was the pick of the 323 litter. Same beautiful '77 design but a much better performer. Wagon came as 3 and 5 door variants. Standing 400m in 19.5 secs. Same as the Gemini and not bad for a 1.4 L post ADR 27A car. Love them. Thanks for the info!

      @danozism 3 года назад +1

@@club1fan552 We had the 5 door wagon. 400m/19.5s is pretty swift actually! Our one was often heavily loaded and never felt underpowered. I agree with you about the design. Great looking car. Cheers

That's cool , I'm around 20 years old and would love a car like this
I think you should have kept it or get another .
I seen this car recently and some reason i just think about it , the specs the design there is something about this car and I don't know what it is .
It's classic , Japanese and not like any car I've seen before .
This and Morris Minor that old mafia type cars I'd be glad ☺️ if I'm lucky to own someday.

This was sold in Indonesia in the 90s, as the MR90 (Mobil Rakyat '90, lit. "People's Car of 1990"), later Baby Boomers. Compared to this 323, the MR90/Baby Boomers only featured a mild facelift.
The wagon version of this was sold as Vantrend, designed to compete with Indonesian-designed Toyota Kijang, itself an MPV. Later iterations of the Vantrend had electric power steering.

I had a 1987 Mazda 323 sedan when I was a kid. It broke down and got scrapped. I’m looking to restore one now. If anyone wants to sell theirs I’m looking to buy. I prefer white.
