oooh I made a cake almost like this for my birthday yesterday! but I just used some hot coffee instead of hot water to melt the chocolate and cocoa powder, and some oat flour in replace of some of the white flour. but it looked pretty alike hahahahaha also, Happy Internacional Woman's Day, Beth! yay us! hahaha ;)
I love your pictures!!! My ancestors are from colombia......my daughters are first generation here in the USA. I have tones of pictures too to share and learn!!!!

Great video Beth! Thanks for sharing with us your family stories and background. Random but I love the songs you choose for your endings, could you list the song and artist in your description? I would love to be able to purchase the music. XX
Oh sure! It's actually from a "cleared" music library for production use, but you may be able to purchase it somewhere? It's Annie Drury and the song is called "Some Day". I really like it too, she has such a pretty voice! :)
the way you do your tutorial made me amaze 😮 I love chocolate cake Beth..but I tried 100 times. .failed and failed. .so disappointed. .I do cries. . I want to try yours with half heartedly. .hope it will success and I will rejoice. mmmmmm. . As a Indian I feel so close to your background music. .it's like an Indian music. .it's I tried some of your recepieis and I'm so happy. .Jana from Malacca Malaysia. ..love you.
Ohhhhh it's so good! Moist and rich in flavoiur! Definitely will make it once more! I added some black currant in the dough (didn't have alcohol that can suit the chocolate taste) and it turned out great!
What a wonderful idea for St. Particks Dinner ! I always do the usual Corned Beef and Veg. ,and bake my Soda Breads ,but never sure how to finish the meal ! This looks like the answer ! Oh a little P.S. , ,Italian Irish here too . . Florio / Gannon !

Aw thanks for that :) So glad you enjoy them! :)
Entertaining With Beth No prob. I just found your video in another channel called 'kin community'. is that also your account? why not put all your videos here? I almost missed them, you know.
Ah yes Kin Community is my "Day Job" I run the video programming for that channel and some times appear there as well. This one is my personal channel :)
I guess you can mention that channel in your videos, you know, your fans don't want to miss these videos :)
Yes on the later ones I do :) This channel didn't exist for some of the old ones :)
so I made this cake it is delish and easy to follow recipe
I am definitely going to try this recipe out :)
Hey Beth - I love your recipes! :) But I was wondering how do you manage to make it always look sunny in your room?
Hi Beth! I was just wondering if you could find the time to make a video on how to make a home made lemon meringue pie? Please
I wanted to make this, thank you for sharing a wonderful and informative recipe/video! I have a question, if i use a normal cake pan (no hole in the middle), will i bake it for the same amount of time?
Ah great question! If you use a regular cake pan you may need two because a bundt pan is deeper. So if you are using standard 9" cake pans I would bake for 20 mins and insert a toothpick to see if done, if not it would probably take another 5 mins or so. Hope that helps! :)
Thank you!! can't wait to try it out :)
love your videos by the way
THEY ALL LOOK SO GOOD THAT I'M HUNGRY NOW
Can you do another Christmas Menu again? Please? 😁😁😁😁
Awesome looking cake as always Beth, I think i will make it for easter :) - do you think i could substitute whiskey for rum?
Oh sure a little dark rum would be great too :)
I love your videos
Looks delicious!!! :)
Hello and thanks for that recipe. What kind of whiskey do you use ? Bourbon, single malt, blend ? Do you think a peated whiskey could be used ?
***** hmm I think so? I typically use Jameson Irish Whiskey. But if you are not sure about it, you could definitely leave it out :) It will still be really good!!
Entertaining With Beth
Thank you for the reply. I want to try with whiskey and I'll probably use a peated / smoked / salty one (it should go well with chocolate and caramel). I'll let you know how it works (if it does !) if your interested. Thanks again for that recipe ! :)
It's funny how you mention the vegetable oil, because at school in my cooking class we had an experiment making sandcake. One group made it with bitter, one made it with oil, one made it with coconut oil and one made it with liquid margerine. When we were done, we had to taste all of them and vote for the best and the worst. Butter won and the liquid margerine lost. In this case, the oil was pretty dry, but it didn't get as many dislikes as I had expected.
What a fun experiment! And it really depends on what it is. For example, today I'm shooting Lemon Poppy Seed muffins and those are really better with butter! Because of the flavor the butter brings. In this case the chocolate is so rich and flavorful you never miss the butter and all that remains is the moistness. :)
Beth what was the name of the song in your video? I really liked it.
Hi beth!! Cake looks fab!! What size bundt pan do you use? I have a 25cm pan, would that be OK?
Thanks!!
Katy Selby Yes that's perfect! :) Enjoy!
beautiful!
How long do you cook the caramel after adding the heavy cream?
Well I made this and it was terrific! The taste of the cake reminds me of the little Debbie fudge rounds but chocolatier......and my only issue with it was caramel topping. I burned first batch. 2nd batch turned into consistency of those sugar daddy's I ate as a child. It was verrrrry hard. I thought i followed directions exact and played video while watching so who knows what went wrong,
Beth,
I absolutely love your videos! I am a subscriber. I would like to know if you could use ghee instead of regular butter?
Awe thank you! So glad you enjoy! You know I'm not really that familiar with baking with Ghee, so it's hard to know for sure. But this cake is pretty forgiving so I bet it would probably be OK. If you do try it let me know your results, because now I'm curious! Ha! :)
This was great thank u!!
That cake looks too good. hey does that oil trick work for all cakes or just this one? cause it does make sense about the water being in the butter. Please and thank you :) xoxo
Well it depends, for most cakes that are rich with chocolate flavor yes, but for others that are lighter in flavor like vanilla, or lemon butter is better because you want that flavor the butter brings. :)
I make a similar recipe, but in place of whiskey, I use Kahlua!
