      Thank you for the reply. I want to try with whiskey and I'll probably use a peated / smoked / salty one (it should go well with chocolate and caramel). I'll let you know how it works (if it does !) if your interested. Thanks again for that recipe ! :)

    I wanted to make this, thank you for sharing a wonderful and informative recipe/video! I have a question, if i use a normal cake pan (no hole in the middle), will i bake it for the same amount of time?

    • @EntertainingWithBeth
      @EntertainingWithBeth  10 лет назад

      Ah great question! If you use a regular cake pan you may need two because a bundt pan is deeper. So if you are using standard 9" cake pans I would bake for 20 mins and insert a toothpick to see if done, if not it would probably take another 5 mins or so. Hope that helps! :)

      yes but it needs to also sit a bit to actually turn amber. It's a process of "sit and stir, sit and stir" :) Hope that helps! :)

    Hi beth. Can you tell me what is the brand of your bundt pan. I have a Nordic ware bundt pan. It says nonstick. So I just need to put cooking spray is it. No need for dusting it with flour after putting the cooking spray

      Yes I have a Nordic ware one too. But even though it's non-stick I always spray mine with baking spray. No need for flour. But often times the "baking" spray has flour in it (just don't use cooking spray) look for one that says its for baking hope that helps!

      @@EntertainingWithBeth ...bless you beth. Thanks for the tip. My husband's birthday is within a week and want to try your chocolate whisky cake with the new bunt pan he gifted me for my birthday.

      Hi beth. Your cake recipe was a super hit. Was loved by everyone. I baked it in my bundt pan . It came out well just one small crack, as I didn't have any baking spray. But was covered with the icing. The cake lasted only for 2 days.
