    Hello love your films , you are calm and very knowledgeable, you helped me with some advice on passaging through the Menai straights last summer in a RIB . Your advice was very welcome and perfect. We were moored in conwy marina for a week and went to Caernarfon every day we loved it ! We were so lucky with the weather too . We’re looking out for you . We are going back in June for another week , thanks again , hope to see you on the water :) .

    loving all your videos lots to go back on and plenty of tips and knowledge you give great for learning ,i can see why you like to just settle let the wind take you more comfort less hassle working lines adjusting this that and the next every fee minutes to try and get the maximum outof the boat you got the right idea take it easy and enjoy the water the waves the scenery and of course the brew up

      Hi Nobody, it’s all about getting the most from what you got. Learning to enjoy the day for what is is rather than what you want it to be. There are however days that just won’t work for one reason and another, there sent to try us and of course there are race days to keep you on your toes. They all end with a nice brew of one type or another 🤪 cheers mike

    Another great vid, Mike! Just love the shot on the lee rail watching her shoulder her way through waves. Also, that last shot of Deganwy Marina reminded me of the times as children my mate & I used to spend hours "on the docks" playing but 50 years ago it it was a mud-hole. Chin-chin

    Beautiful sail, I was amazed at how the anchorage calmed down as the tide went out exposing the sand bars, another example of what the difference in the tidal range produces in the area you sail vs where I sail, you explanation and pictures of the charts was very helpful.
    Also I loved the interior view of your boat with the dappled sunlight, Sea ma chilli is beautifully maintained.
    I was wondering what all of the lines tied with lark head knots to the life lines are going to be used for, I suppose I will find out on future videos. Great job, I learn something from each of your videos. Thanks

    Vary nice. No one buys sail boat to run a diesel engine or go fast. Some people get tricked thinking they want speed but most don't. They want fun and to be comfortable.

    What spray hood / hard top is that please? Great video, keep'em coming!

    • @sailingcosiloveit
      @sailingcosiloveit  3 года назад +2

      I built the hood out of fibreglass with my brother and covered it in canvas work to match the boat. Shape was taken to match the arc of the deck. In fine weather the sides and screens could come out so the air could flow straight through it and offer virtually no resistance. I only did this for two reasons, spray hoods fitted to models I had seen never stopped the rain coming in the companion way and they also never went with the look of the boat. Just my view though because I’m sure there are some well designed hoods out there. Mike
