Very nice boat. Wish we had boats like that in Canada.
This is so so so nice, and it's trailerable!!!!. Love the interior. Congratulations to the owners!!
The Green Orbs are back! Yes! I’m a non sailor and love these videos. Thanks and cheers.
We all luv the Green Orbs
I went on tenacious when it was in Melbourne Australia, it brought back memories of when I was first officer on another tall ship for nine years in Melbourne Australia.
Thanks for the video. Not sure why people are so critical, I like my boat but it's not for everyone, just nice to be open to other ideas. As an aside my father was a Hampshire man just up the road in Saresbury Green. He loved the Hamble
Beautiful!!
Nice thanks for sharing
Cheers from Uruguay!
Parabéns pelo barco,... Bem aconchegante...👏👏👏bons ventos!!
First there was a fridge, then they built a boat around it ☝️😃
another similar one is Norfolk-Gypsy from Neil Thompson boats building . both equipped with inboard diesel engine, 4 beds, swing keel, big enough to live in and small enough to carry home.
Good to see a lady on the helm of the sailing fridge - especially as it was International Women's Day yesterday. I am sure that was no coincidence, well thought through, Bob!
Oh you're still here?
Yes, still here. Not launching my boat till end of April.
A niche made for the Shrimper.
This is so British mucking about on the water.
I have a boat that could have a party dock for 6 , a sit-down diner for 4 an sleep 2
👍
The fridge was nice.😳
😂😂😂
An old 1979 David Thomas intro 22 I had, had more room inside and was easier than that looks to rig. Great couple however
Trying to go with the "85%" rule for towing doesn't give you a lot of options in 'normal' cars as the 21 is quoted by the manufacturers as 2000kg towing weight so you would need a car of 2350 curb weight - that puts you in significant 4x4 territory!
It's also interesting that the perception is that the weight has been kept down relative to the 19 as when you do the basic sum of weight/((length x beam)^3/2) as a weight per unit volume measure both boats come out very similar: 23.26kg/cu.m and 23.22kg/cu.m for the 21 and 19 respectively.
Nice vid thanks . Tim and Ruth , sound couple but the boat seems very cramped (I think the creative interior shots made it look more spacious) , all that mucking around with the fridge and table top would do my head in. Different strokes for different folks.
A diesel engine, 4 berths, space for a marine head if you want it, a two burner gas stove, a sink and all of it fitted into a boat that's 21 foot on deck!
Of course it's cramped.
yes @@philipritson8821 , thanks for repeating what I wrote!?
Sharing this to Art of Hookie on RUclips
Fredrick Rourk thanks just what I need from stormy
🤘
Nice little boat but I would not want to have it. Good luck with it!!
I would get a tent rigged over the cockpit coz I would not want to be in such close proximity to my missus.. Do they do an eighty footer? )
Catamaran 1 hull for her and 1 hull for you.
Fredrick Rourk That's true.. can have my own door too. Mmm, sorry but I did hear you knock dear... ))
Nice boat but it seems to be a new build and from GRP. What's classic about it? My retro boat?
It meets the criteria under the design being 50 years old. The fact that they are still being produced has no bearing. That's why Spirit Yachts can also compete in Classic Regattas.
beautiful little boat.
What is the name of the intro music?
It's called Silent Partner by Tonto and I used it from RUclips audio library.....thanks for watching and pointing out I forgot to give them a credit on video
You flashed the specs of the boat up too quickly! Good video!
Why are they wearing life jackets when they are not on the way.... that is odd
We were on the water
@@myclassicboat9083 but not under way,,,
@@johnsmith4219 Most yacht drownings happen at moorings.
Fun little boat , does it have an engine ? 👍
At 1:28 you can spot the propeller
Shrimpers have baby diesel engines as standard equipment. A 9hp Yanmar engine.
Its a great shaped boat and could be fast and pointy , just needs a Real rig , not the sloppy novelty you pay through the nose for. Ive sailed gaffers and loved them, but this isnt even a good gaffer .put a good sloop rig on one of these and it'd fly .
I've seen vids of these things reaching theoretical max hull speed in fairly light winds. Is the gaff a pain to sail?
@@MaxRevitt
Gaff rigs are beautiful, but they are more difficult to sail because of increased lines and sail . A good gaff cutter can compete with any similar marconi rigged boat , because of greater sail area and wetted area, but the sails need to be professionally made and fitted.
Crabbers rig is almost a joke, a parody of what was once beautiful, capable and powerful, made for mugs with poor eyesight and deep pockets .
Good luck
Great series, but please, get rid of that horrible little dog!
