Loving these vids you're making. Always been a fan of Cornish Crabbers. It helps if you have lived in Cornwall for 30-odd years!! You also give those of us who have heard nightmare stories of tackling the Menai Straits a bit more confidence in getting out there & giving it a go. On a personal note, I grew up across the Conwy estuary in Deganwy & although I do not suffer greatly from "hiraeth" it is always a joy to see the village from seaward where a lot of my sailing buddies still live. Keep 'em coming please & a big thanks for doing so. Fair winds & following seas to you & Sea ma chilli.
Thanks for your post, it’s always nice to know my efforts are being enjoyed. Deganwy has changed a lot in the last 30 years. You will remember then beautiful beach and I guess you walked it many a time. The old dock is now the new marina with the very same old dock walls still in use. The inside of the marina on the west side is the old stone slope. So all the history has not been lost you just need to know where to look. I do plan on keeping the videos coming. Soon as the weather gets a little warmer and stable I will be out again. I’m just waiting for my new sail to come back from Jeckells. Thanks for your support Mike
Thank you for sharing your experience with Sea ma Chilli. There is not that much footage and general info about the Cornish Crabbers available online. As a novice sailor I purchased a Crabber 24 Mk.4 end of last year from her previous owner in Cardif and transported by road to it's new home in Zeeland (south of Holland) where she has been waiting on the dry since then. I'm looking forward to get the mast up, sort the rigging and start sailing her for the first time. So these are exciting times and your videos help a lot, keep 'em comming ;-) Best regards from Belgium,.
Thanks for your comment Marco, they are nice words. I plan on keeping them coming as I get time to make them. I’m glad you are enjoying them and find them useful. I started them because I had to spend a lot of time to find some of the info I wanted. Just want to share it now. I hope you continue to enjoy. Regards mike
Excellent. Really liking your Crabber mate.

I often use this semi-hove-to manouvre.
Ye it’s a bit lazy but that’s what is good about it, you must have the same bad habits as me! Mike
