Nice review. You guys always do a thorough, informative, comprehensible job. I wish BMW had a done a better job of integrating the infotainment screen. In theory, I like the idea of a curved screen that allows you to see various kinds of information at once, but the current design looks a bit stuck-on and out of character with the rest of the lines of the interior and car generally. I know you guys did a full review of the 2022 230i. Do you have any plans to review the 2023 230i? Again, great work. Thanks.
Good review, this is probably the sweet spot for most budget BMW drivers who want a small sedan. I'm just not a fan of the new longer dash/infotainment screen or the shifter.
I have 2022 model, a lot of people said that the new 330i is so annoying to set up the climate control.. I really like the buttons to adjust the temperature instead of touching or setting up in the screen.. That’s the only my downside on the new 330i.. Everything else the new 330i looks fantastic..
Yeah it won't be everyones taste to have the screen. I like it overall. However right when you get in the car, you need to let the screen turn on before you can make any adjustments. So that can be annoying. Cant go wrong with simple buttons for climate lol
that is a 2 wheel drive model, which is slower but gets slightly better EPA MPG than the x-Drive (all-wheel drive) model. It also lacks the m-Sport package
Currently leasing a black one just like this , same wheels and all. I really like the 3 series but I'd never buy this version. I just need the B58 so the M340 would be my only choice. That said, its a nice car and most people would be happy with the mix of luxury and performance that even the base 330i delivers. Personally im just not the biggest 4 cylinder fan and want more agressive looks than the plain 330i delivers without msport package.
Thanks for the review. I’m deciding between whether to get the 330i or 2022/2023 Audi A4. I test drove the A4 before and liked the heavier/stiffer steering (coming from Audi Q3), but never driven the 330i. Which one do you like better or will recommend?
Honestly both are great cars! I’m a huge Audi Dana’s the A4 is nice, but I like the 330 a little more. I like the new tech in the bmw. The Audi has a much smaller screen now lol, but if you don’t want that huge screen, I love the simplicity of the Audis. Check them out and drive them to see which one speaks to you more!!
my friend is an Audi mechanic. He's said a lot of the new engine parts are made of plastic and won't last more than 5 years. and simple things like a water pump are made unnecessary complex and hard to work on. I've owned both bmws and audis. The comment above is correct. Audi has a better interior usually, but for some reason I tend to like the bmws better for everything else. both of these cars cost a ton to repair though so not sure it's worth buying either one if you are on a budget or have a personal mechanic who knows how to fix them.
@@oldschoolcompsci I really don’t think they cost a ton to own or repair because I’ve owned two R8’s, currently own one now and I haven’t had to do anything on either one and mine is 10 years old.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed It’s basically a wagon version of the 3er. It used to be offered in the states, but then BMW decided not to sell it there anymore. Currently, it’s for Europe, Turkey, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.

Every manufacturer raises their prices every year, not just BMW. The average price of a new vehicle right now is $45K, so it’s not ridiculous when you look at it that way.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed But there's no shortage. Inflation is based on supply and demand and we have an overabundance of everything. 3 series are not worth $45k. Great cars, but that's way too high.
Yes! A good-looking front-end. Hopefully BMW fired that joke of a car designer who gave their recent models hideous giganta kidney-shaped front grills. Those things look disgusting. Looked as though they were designed by someone suffering from both severe mental issues and eye-sight problems.
I honestly don’t have a problem with the new kidney design! Been around them enough now and only like it on the M model cars! Have you seen it in person or just going off pics?

@@BrosFOURRSpeed Fair enough. I never tell folks how they should spend their money. To each their own. Though I still say the BMW you reviewed above is the best looking one out there now.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed of course but if your gas car gets 30mpg and the diesel gets 50mpg…..30 mpg x 14 gallon tank = 420 miles on gas or 50mpg x 14 gallon tank =700 miles range for the diesel. Lets say you are going on an 840 mile road trip. You will need 28 gallons of gas x $3.50 a gallon for a total of $98. The diesel will use 16.8 gallons of diesel x $5 for a total of $84. Also the diesel just roadtrips better than a gasser anyway, especially with the 8 speed transmission. Going 75 mph the diesel will downshift less. However the diesel will cost more upfront and potential service costs, dpf, scr will outweight the gas if you have problems. At the end of the day though there is no doubt that from a greenie, no oil side of the conversation diesel cars use less oil. Which brings me to another discussion point about big oil and their love of gas cars that perform worse. Less MPGs equals more barrells of oil!
@@HoneyBadgerFarm You can go 420 miles for less and if you fill up the gas car twice it’s close to 700 so it’s more expensive up front for diesel, and you can go farther, but it could cost a similar amount with a gas vehicle having to fill up again to make that same distance. I don’t think all your numbers are accurate. I’d never buy a diesel, it just doesn’t fit my lifestyle so at the end of the day, people buy what they want and what works best!

BMW should really talk to owners about what to put in to the car next time!
Yeah there should be separate climate controls. I like the simple infotainment tho. Seems like it gives you all of what you need. Maybe you'll like Audi and Mercedes more. They have a lot more info on their screens and are still easy to use
I have to say too much technology. The apps, the settings etc etc. I mean before you begin driving. You need to have all your settings set. If you trying to set and adjust while you driving. You talking about a accident bound to happen. Talk about distracted driver. I miss the old cars. You just get in crank reverse and drive. Now you get in. It's downloading upgrade touchscreen tap swipe sync 3D. All that you have to do before you drive. Good grief!
