I had a new 200hp husky for two years. It was way more useful than a cub. A cub is for short fun trips for a hamburger. But two people with full fuel in a cub will not happen - not to mention no luggage with two people, longer take off roll, slower cruise and no range in a cub. I took my husky flying in the Rockies and Sierras, flew coast to coast several times, and could go with full fuel and luggage. Some might say the cub has better short field numbers - NOT! At similar weights the Husky WAY outperforms the cub.
Aviat husky may look slightly similar to a J-3 cub but can in no way be compared, two totally different planes ,the technology in the Husky is enormous ,still will always have a soft spot for the might cub though.
Landing at the Circle X Air Ranch. I used to fly there on the weekends all the time. Thats where "The Battle Of County Line Road" occurred. What a party! When is TIRE gonna play there again?
Great video.! The Pilatus is in a whole different world when it comes to gross weight. This aircraft is the nearest thing to pure flight, other than sailing and hand gliding. If you want capable space for storage and cross-country capabilities with a view of the world... then this is the aircraft for you. It is so simple to fly and have a field day in...:)
I'll take the Super Cub (with appropriate mods) anytime over this thing. The essential problem with this plane is all Husky's are 100-octane airplanes - VERY expensive to fly. With my cub, while it may not cruise as fast; nevertheless, I can gas up ANYWHERE with either 80/87 OR regular car gas - fuel that is available ANYWHERE! remember: getting there - and back again afterward - is more than 1/2 of the battle!! Super Cub is also MUCH more "user-friendly" when it comes to doing your own maint.!!

This should be the definition of light sport
Its the airplane of choice for me if I had the money. Great Airplanes I enjoyed flying the one I flew for a bit.
Nice! That does look like a really strong airframe!! I wonder how the Husky aircraft compare to Pilatus utility aircraft??
