well done for soldiering on , untill the solar / batterys give you uniteruptable power will the smoke alarms notify you / each other if the routers not got power ? thinking of your safety .
You bring up a good point, but we already have UPS power for all of our routers switches and Internet connection. I've got three UPS units in the rack alone! They can keep everything going for over an hour if there's a power cut.
