@@L2theWcarscoffeelife I got a brand new boat that does 43,6mph out of the box rtr for $64.30 shipping included. New rc boats that do 30mph plus are less than $60 all day long on Ebay...
bought a cheap rc boat of amazon ages ago for 50 bucks or so and it out out performed my blast by miles and it had reverse. I thought about changing out the ESC to a XL5 but its 100$ this thing never gets up on plane and has been a disappointment
The thing about a stronger prop is that when you hit something with that prop, the jolt will go up the driveshaft and the shock will hit the motor.... at least when a plastic prop hits a rock or whatever, it can shear blades off and minimize damage. That's why there are shear pins on props on life size props.
I have this boat. I noticed it started to not be as fast as it was when it was new. It wasn’t very fast to begin with. But it noticeably got slower but yet the motor still sounds loud. New battery didn’t change anything. I’m thinking the motor must be burnt out a bit? Anyone’s thoughts ?
Do you grease the shaft going to the prop? Supposed to be done every run. Possibly if the shaft is loose the motor could be spinning faster and the nimh are not the best batteries you might try a lipo
Hi, if this Traxxas boat was mine it would be on ebay for the highest bid.10 mph is sad
If you want 50mph its 4x the cost you get what you pay for this is inexpensive entry level boat.

cavitation. that boat is not right.
Where did you buy the prop from and which one did you go with?
Off shore electrics and the part # cnc-3214250-R
You gave it a good try with the other prop. Too bad it didn’t improve speed significantly.
Yeah I had high hopes for it guess I need a faster boat 😁
