  • Saturday morning, the battery was totally drained. When I tried jumping it, the radiator cooling fans turned on as soon as I connected the negative cable to the frame/ground. I had to remove the fuse for the cooling fans because the engine wouldn't turn on with the fans working at full speed. With the engine on, the battery recharged, but the fans would stay on after the engine was turned off. For that reason I left the fuse out until the relay was replaced.

I see that this vid was done 3 years ago! Thanks for sharing it. Don’t have any problems with my 2004 Caravan yet, but this helps if I ever do. Definitely will save me a trip to the dealer in the future. 166,000 miles! Don’t quite have a 100,000 on mine yet, so I may have a little more time before failure. Hey thanks again for including all your problems with the screw/rivet and connector with the little locking tab. 👍

Besides the relay? Maybe the fuse? Maybe the engine doesn't get hot enough? I had a 99 town and country that never had this issue. My 2006, twice, the time when this video was made and recently last December. Sorry I cannot be of any help besides this video. Best of luck.
