    I was there in 1986 when he won the World Cup in Budapest. Then we often trains with him in Germany when he has been giving courses for a year. It was always impressive.

      Its the Okinawan version of the Chinese white crane form called "Zhongkuang". But VERY karate-sized.

      @@zzhFx_69 i dont do karate. but check out fujian lohan quan sanzhan. Makes me think Fujian Lohan Quan(monk fist) is closer in techniques to karate then any crane form.

    • @teovu5557
      @teovu5557 День назад

      Random fun fact these crane forms like Paiho and Hakucho or Haffa and papuren and other are not from the founding of karate but where recently taught to Okinawans by Gokenki a Chinese white crane master in the 1920s.
      It's also where the Nipaipo/nipai kata came from.
      Older karate crane kata that came way before the ones I mentioned are sanchin,seisan,sandairu and Suparinpai.
      Most of the shuri te linked systems like shotokan have clear links to monk boxing mentioned in the bubishi.
      Monk boxing or Fujian Louhan Quan has the clearest link to karate. Example.
      Search up Fujian luohan Quan Sanzhan and compare the it to karate seisan or hangetsu. It is more similar then any white crane is to most karate styles.

    I've seen different versions of this. Its similar to our version (Kobayashi Shuri-te), but has elements of Kingai, and Hokkaku crane katas.

    Study or learn this kata ("Hakutsuru"; if you haven't done so already), perform at natural speed, then perform at a slower speed (for peeps like me who are "slow learners") then do a bunkai (fighting application), and some important points (students need to remember) like proper breathing when executing certain techniques, and other things you need to add. Sell it as a downloadable *.MP4 on your website, somewhere around $05.99 to $14.99 (depending on if you want to make it affordable to the farthest corners of the world, or make it "pay whatever you can afford" from $04.99 minimum to $14.99 being the maximum. Posting this on 2021.03.05.

    I'm curious if by eliminating so much of the integral body movement, reverberation, fluidity, and relaxation... folks thought this was an improvement of the original forms? There had to be a reason for making it more hard and rigid.

    Hello I'm Alessandro from Italy. I have a question: in many hakutsuru kata it's present the neko ashi dachi stance but the look are some different from the cat stance present in other styles of karate. Can anyone tell me if there are some differences? Thanks a lot
    Alessandro

    • @raymondfrye5017
      @raymondfrye5017 3 года назад +1

      The cat-stance is always an intermediate stance between the other three: shiko dachi,zenkutsu dachi and Sanchin-dachi. All others are variations.
