    Wow this is so interesting!
She seems so happy and sweet, and Im so glad for her that shes secure and hasnt had trauma.
(To be honest, Im not sure that will last, which is so sad to say, but life is very likely to get harder either through her own or partners trauma being lgbtq, as pessimistic as that is to say, I dont think any of us escape it, in the current state of the world)
I think, her inner doubt is a reflection of culture around us.. like she said, although shes been supported, accepted, felt relaxed about bringing any kind of partner home, and everything is kind of coherent in her life with space to be herself in her circles... I think her confusion kind of reflects the silence in society..
as there are still virtually no narratives in public about people like her, us, anyone lgbtq born a girl.
To me, its a bit like adults who experience deep depression or trauma and go to therapy later in life, but find themselves saying "but I had a good childhood, I was given everything" but in actual fact, looking deeper at memories and starting to understand that they may have been massively neglected emotionally or psychologically or not affirmed and celebrated ever in their dreams achievements or efforts..
its a bit like that for many of us lgbtq people in society, even if we have love or are provided for in our survival needs in our immediate circles, emotional needs, our need for stories that reflect a happy future, or the right to exist into adulthood through to natural old age, or being treated with respect, or stories about how we fall in love, or make families, or have children or dont have children but have love shared, and are committed to by other loving people, if that is all silenced, repeatedly, by society and powers that be, it as actually a horrible neglect and violence towards the thirty percent of folks who will likely be out as lgbtq in this generation.
It really is unacceptable that society still does so little in providing for childrens emotional health in identity inclusion and being welcomed in life.
And I think rather than a deep sense of specific trauma, there is often this looming sense of something not being quite right, or dread or anxiety, or mild social anxiety, or confusion, or general self doubt, until this part of life gets worked out..
and its so sad that this is unnecessary and preventable and its so unkind to leave humans floundering in silence, the way society does still (other than once a year pride)
This is why I dont think tolerance is enough,
because it can actually be a really heavy suppression, accidentally.. instead of welcoming, proactive storytelling, inclusion and visibility all around.
It takes time to break through comp het conditioning, and it doesnt need to be a struggle, if society properly supports everyones human rights to be themselves and experience equality ❤
