Exactly. Starr wasn't the greatest but he was one of the best, Favre was not the greatest but one of the best and Rodgers is not the greatest, but he is one of the best. Packers fans have been spoiled but need to really appreciate what they have. I don't like Brady but when you look at the talent, football IQ of both, they are very very close. If, Rodgers had played for Belichick, instead of Brady, played and won as many Super Bowls what would you be saying about him now? The Patriots always had good defenses contrary to the Packers... I remember Rodgers second or third season everyone was asking the question could be be better than Favre? Would he be a Hall of Fame QB? The answer was, wait and see. You can make the argument for his 1-4 record in the NFC championship game, but as a thrower of the football, he’s one of the best this game has ever seen.
I think it's hilarious that he compared Rodgers' NFC championship game TD:INT to Brady's Super Bowl TD:INT because Brady's championship game TD:INT is 21:17, which is pretty much the exact same. He does only have 1 game winning drive in the playoffs, but 3 other times he led Green Bay on game tying drives only to never touch the ball again and lose on the last play of the game. 2014 against SF on the last play of the game, 2015 against Seattle in OT after never touching the ball, and 2016 against AZ in OT after never touching the ball. He also had the loss in 2009 against AZ where the game was ended in OT on a fumble returned for a TD due to a facemask on him after he brought the team back from 24-7 down. They pretty much got blown out in the other losses with the exceptions of the game last year and NYG in the 2012 playoffs. I can't really say a lot of the blame lies with him for the playoff issues. People forget he was coached by Mike McCarthy, who is one of the worst clock/game managers I've ever seen for a coach. There's obviously a lot of things he does well as a coach, which is why he's had a decent amount of success, but if you replaced him with a semi-competent game manager for the 2015 game against Seattle they would have won that one.
Do we just gloss over the fact he had an absolute clunker against Seattle. His defense forced 5 turnovers he turned it into 9 points. But everyone blames the onside kick. How about you do better than 1 td and 2ints with 5 short fields 🤷🏿♂️

Yea but his defense has been so uneven and Devante has been hurt in the past couple of seasons. This year is the most complete team he's going into the playoffs with since the year they won it all.
They won 13 games pretty much because of him. Defense not good and still gave up 30+ points in playoffs.. Last year the Bucs were unbelievably lucky, by far the healthiest team. Packers missing their best offensive lineman was devastating, then after the Bucs beat them they got to play a Chiefs team that literally had their entire offensive line hurt. This year, the Bucs did not get the injury luck. I believe the Rams will beat them by 10 points or more in Tampa. For Packers to reach super bowl they will have to block the Rams vicious line, something they couldnt do at all against Tampa last year. I don't really put any playoff losses that Rodgers has had on him because the team had always failed him. Shannon laid thst out in this video.

Firstly the organisation did NOT do everything in its power to make him happy. The drafts always is an indication of an organisations intent and the just haven't drafted enough help for ARod but Shannon's points still stands he needs a SB ASAP.
After losing in the playoffs too many times would you, compounded by the fact that Aaron has been a diva the past 3 seasons and the organization has every right to draft a QB. Aaron should've produced another SB if he's as great as everyone thinks he is, but he's always been a Aaron-first, Team-second type of QB, at some point we just have to recognize, Aaron wanted full credit for the Packers, he wanted front-office influence, he got it, he wanted Mccarthy gone, he got it, and he still didn't produce. This season is on Aaron, not the front office.
@Ty Jones He was there tho', twice! It's hard to get to a SB, go ask some of those QB's who reached one & will never see another, i.e Cam Newton, Joe Flacco, Matt Ryan!
Three championships are tainted for the Patriots and Tom Brady with spygate they cheated to win they do the defensive signals so they knew what the defensive play call was before the snap base upon that and that was early and Tom Brady's career by the way
Brady is the best QB ever, sure he's not as talented as others, but his understanding of the game, strategy, ability to get penalties called at key moments, leadership. All of it, he is just phenominal. (Brady broke me when he killed the Mahome's Chiefs last year.)
Skip used All Time Passer Rating in the Post season to prove his point. He honestly should have just left this out. The 5 players ahead of Rodgers are Mahomes, Bart Star, Kurt Warner, Josh Allen, and Matt Ryan. That is GREAT company, and it's not like there is a huge gap between Mahomes and Rodgers (105 to 100 rating). That and Passer Rating is a flawed stat to begin with. I missed the 1st SB in 2010 season. 2014 was the closest I been to experiencing a SB run with the GBP ( you can guess how devastated I was after the loss ). During last year's run in the NFCCG. I was going through a emotional rollercoaster and it took a while to recovered from the loss. I WANT IT BAD!!!!
Rodgers is easily the quarterback the most under pressure going into the Divisional. All the offseason drama he caused with his cryptic response to questions, the team doing literally everything to make him happy. He has fantastic weapons at his disposal, solid and dependable running game, and easily one of the best defenses in the league. There can be no excuses or mistakes, its either Super Bowl victory or complete bust. 1-4 in the NFC Championship, 9TD-8INT, 1,381 yards and a rating of 83.7 simply do not cut it.
Since when is up to just the QB to perform? What about all the lousy defenses the offense had had to deal with? It is a team sport or do you think Rodgers plays every position? Shannon is correct, of the defense gives up points yards and time, no matter who the QB is can overcome a bad defense. When was the last time GB had a GOOD defense? 2010? So why is all the blame on Rodgers.?

So go ahead and love you some Brady but remember a team is made up of more than just ones poison or person.
@@cr1688 Rodgers is shouldered much of the responsibility for two reasons: 1- He is the quarterback, and intrinsically is the leader of the team. The same way Manning was in Indianapolis and Denver; Brady in New England and Tampa; Brees in New Orleans, etc. And as a leader, he is held to a higher standard. 2- I will admit I never have, and never will like Rodgers. When I think of Green Bay, I think of #4 Brett Favre. But let me be clear: Rodgers is an outstanding quarterback. To deny that would be foolish, he's of the greatest. That is sealed and cannot (and should not be argued). But we have to admit he has been pedestrian in the playoffs: the game-deciding fumble in the 2009 playoff loss to Arizona, those mediocre 177 passing yards in a 2013 playoff loss to San Francisco; and as mentioned above, the loss to Seattle was largely attributed to Rodgers and the offence not capitalizing on five turnovers. As an all-time great, and as a leader, these moments impact your legacy in some way. That's all I'm saying.
@@gregg7992 Look, I am not disagreeing with what you state directly or completely. My observation is simply this - there are other factors which play into and contribute to Rodgers mediocre performances. the opposing defense has a lot of influence. Case in point - Seattle's defense was not weak as though was the Packer defense. What happened in the last 5 minutes of the game - that had a bearing on Rodgers performance? Of course not - yet the loss is wholly attributed to Rodgers play. My contention is everyone is so focused on the play of the QB and shouldering him with the complete and full responsibility of playing at a Superstar level in all playoff games when that is not a true or accurate factor. Case in point Manning was in no way the stellar QB in his last two years as a Bronco - and yet despite his mediocrity the team still won and won the Super Bowl. Why? Because the rest of the team around him played up to standards making him basically an after thought, nonessential. This is Rodgers first or second time since 2010's SB win and the defense was ranked 5, he actually has a defense ranked in the top ten, they are currently ranked 9. The only other years after 2010 they were ranked in the top ten were 2014 at 10 and 2015 with a ranking of 6, due mainly to the schedule they played. Every other year they were ranked lower than 12. In the playoffs if you have a weak defense and the opposition has a good defense, how do you expect any QB to play better than the defense allows? How many times did Brady go to the SB and lose? How did he play? Even i he played lights out in doesn't change the outcome. Why? because the opposing defense stopped him. I don't disagree he probably could have made some better plays to raise his performance but its not just his performance affecting outcomes. Throughout the years in the NFL teams have won the SB with average QB's. Its only due on part to the complete swing in emphasis to passing offenses to satisfy the desire of casual fans for splash plays from the old style game of grind it out by rushing the ball to beat down your opponent forcing such a narrow microscope focus on the play of QB and level of expectation from the superior QB. He soesn't win the game by himself and needs outstanding support and performance from the players on the defensive side of the ball to help him do his job - WIN! Perfect example - the 1985 Bears - it didn't matter how McMahon played or that he was average - they had Walter Payton. People expect Rodgers to play as if he has that kind of defense and running back - he doesn't.
Man that's crazy. When you take max contracts every year, it's almost like. Your team. Doesn't have money? To buy better defensive players? Wooooah. What a crazy concept!!!!! If you take all the money from the team then you better produce like that. Otherwise what's the point?

There is so much truth here
Do we just gloss over the fact he had an absolute clunker against Seattle. His defense forced 5 turnovers he turned it into 9 points. But everyone blames the onside kick. How about you do better than 1 td and 2ints with 5 short fields 🤷🏿♂️

@@cr1688 Rodgers is shouldered much of the responsibility for two reasons: 1- He is the quarterback, and intrinsically is the leader of the team.
Thank you Skip! Keeping it 💯
Skip: McCarthy is garbage.
Also Skip: Rodgers last year with McCarthy-he was failing, that was Rodgers fault.
Rodgers cant win a super bowl without Mccarthy
LOL, Shannon caught himself to rub in the "No Catch" game !!!
Skip hates Aaron Rodgers because he always whoops them Cowgirls and won his SB in Dallas.
Fr 😂
Aaron is the owner of jerry world
Lmao that ring from like 10 years ago
I never understand how the saints and Packers haven't been able to make more superbowl trips in the last decade
Man that's crazy. When you take max contracts every year, it's almost like. Your team. Doesn't have money? To buy better defensive players? Wooooah. What a crazy concept!!!!! If you take all the money from the team then you better produce like that. Otherwise what's the point?
When you're carrying McCarthy and Don capers you better get all your money,
You can't complain about Rodgers not having enough help when he alone takes up so much of the cap space.
Aaron Rodgers last 9 playoff losses:
-Defense gives up 45
-Defense gives up 37
-Defense gives up 45
-Led game-tying drive, never got the ball back
-Led game-tying drive, never got the ball back
-Led game-tying drive, never got the ball back
-Defense gives up 44
-Defense gives up 37
-Defense gives up 31
Can someone pin this comment plz? It damn sure needs to be repeated for all these people finger pointing at Rodgers like he's the reason GB hasn't made it back to the Super Bowl. He can't play both sides of the ball AND special teams too. Mfs need to lay off my damn QB.
This could be said about 80% of QBS lol. You could argue that the Dallas Cowboys, haven't won anything due to having bad defenses. Nobody gave Romo that slack.
Irrelevant. The great QB's don't get that slack fair or not. Tom Brady set him up 3 times last year in the 2nd half and Rodgers didn't take advantage.
@@Sportsloverandrew they got the picks at their own 10 or 15, the defense was about to give up 45 lol the special team was getting great returns giving Brady the ball at the 40-50, Aaron Jones fumbled and they got the ball at the 8, lefluer took a timeout to the locker on the Scotty Miller play, Kevin King getting beat on every play even in the 3rd down with a chance to get the ball back and they called him for holding, but sure it's all Rodgers fault 😂😂😂😂😂😂
It was a surprise that they still had a shot in that game.
Skip is such a Brady homer he though Shannon was trying to take away from Brady but complimenting Belichick's team discipline concepts.
Also Jenny randomly chuckling at the end when Shannon emphasized "no catch game," had me in tears.😂
Go 🏈49ers😇🤞!!... And clap Rodgers greatness..... However i want 49ers vs Rams..... Again !
Soooooooooo
Where are All NFL broadcast and specialists...... Go 49ers🏈🤞
P.S. This was arguably the best take I've ever heard from Shay...great job!!!
Aaron needs to win this game and the super bowl 🏈
Every time you guys are talking about Aaron Rodgers and the Packers because i dont want to hear it from Skip but when Shannon starts talking, it gives me hope for my team The Packers
Having a better passer rating then Tom Brady when Tom has played in more playoff games than anyone is not a flex
Damn. The numbers don’t lie
Bengals- Packers SB here we come!
Zzzzzzzzz😴😴😴😴😴😴😴 No lol
Yeah, Packers never gonna reach the SB.
I literally said every point Skip said about A. Rogers on Philly's Mike Missanelli's Show ESPN Sports Radio 97.5 in September, "Aron Rogers sucks", in post season...as a 49ers fan..."He's Not That Guy" all hype and stacked teams and He's been to just as many SB as Kaepernick with 3x the time
Doesn’t Mason “crossbar” have the playoff record for consecutive field goals? Seems borderline stupid to act like he isn’t a fantastic kicker.
As a packer fan I can honestly say the offense always starts slow and the defense is always on the field.
Let's go niners shud be a good game
This going to be a good game
Rodgers is that Manning realm.. all time great in the regular season but bed wetters when it matters most
Agreed for the most part but did you listen to what Shannon said? How can he win all these games when his defense gives up 300 yards rushing and 40+ points?
@@TheNintendoWizrad Where was that excuse last NFCCG? Brady was shitting it up the entire second half and Rodgers couldn't bank on it.
When Skip and Shannon are out of studio they are much nicer to each other lol
Rodgers led them to Cancun
The immortal Caleb Hanie 😂😂😂😂😂😂
The niners aren't afraid to lose BELEIVE DAT, packers will feel the heat, AGAIN
Rodgers to the Broncos
Well this didn't age well.
Win or not Rodgers is the greatest QB the league has ever seen
Lmao. No.
There is a dude with 7x the championships he has.
it's okay if he's your GOAT but if you're trying to force it to everyone else that your GOAT should be their GOAT, then nah.
@@PeanutButterAndJellyBros you’re one of those people that believes in participation medals aren’t you💀 you don’t belong in a sports debate
@@huh8896 Huh?
@UClBhxlBHsGeSceFDlAD-Vrg Patrick mahomes
Aaron Rodgers is good but his record vs the 49ers they have had their number 0-3 so the odds tell me 49ers should win
Are you talking playoffs?
And now there 0-4
Shannon said gooder you had it right the first time big dog 😂
Aaron Rodgers has a losing record when his team is tied or losing at any point in the game. Complete front runner. If the 49ers get anything more than a FG lead, they'll win the game.
That's an odd stat, I can't imagine having a winning record is very common
It’s not very common in Greenbay that’s for sure
Well this aged well
Very well 🚬💨💨
Rodgers chokes in the play-offs full stop. Over 10 years and counting...
mvp should be for a player who put in 110% of himself to elevate HIS TEAM NOT JUST HIS SELF and i think he just always about him talking about him blaming others and he looks effortless no struggles he even looks like he doesnt care or quits thats why i dont know why the media keeps pushing this narrative when they talk about how dedicated and how much more other players sacrifice for their team and team mates what is a mvp really name a lot of teams if you take away or add a player it changes everything thats an mvp and i think you need to go down each and every team to get the real mvp
Packers could win the superbowl 50-7 and skip would still find a way to discredit how great Rodgers is.
Then do it
But has he ever done it? Aaron Rodgers is an all time great talent whose supremely underperformed in the postseason. He might be the greatest talent at that position and he only has 1 ring to show for it. That is very disappointing.
Maybe Aaron shouldn't have been one of the highest paid players in football, so Green Bay could afford better defensive players...
Aaron just wants all the attention - Oh I want a trade, oh I want respect from the management etc. Imagine what he can achieve if he focus only in winning and not being a diva.
As a cowboys fan I should hate Rodgers 😂
But I am rooting for him this time to win it all. He is one of the GOATs at QB.
Let’s goooo 49ers 🙏🏾❤️🙌🏾🔥💪🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾
GO PACK GO !!!!!!!!!
@@CCC-3 lol
Skip do you not remember the throws he made to get Mason Crosby in the field goal range vs the cowboys ?!😂
49ers aren’t going to let it happen
