Every time I watch these videos I think to myself: "This is scary, but imagine being the FIRST person to ever enter that cave? They had no idea what kinds of twist and turns (or falls) awaited them!
In this specific cave, it was probably very beautiful. It's location near a city and having public access to it has essentially... stripped the cave of its original beauty. Every single formation has been broken off. Still a superfund cave! But for sure, being first would have been scariest and best.

*We found Hell Hole to be fun and interesting. Yo... this is the perfect cave for those wanting to test their claustrophobia without risking your life. A couple good tight squeezes, but nothing crazy. The vertical parts require rope climbing... and a bit of danger. But overall, this is a small, simple cave which you can get through no prob. The perfect temperature as well. So easy, even a Caveman can do it.
*Jacob and I will return shortly to push the cave beyond what is currently known.
Your niece London sure is fearless, I admire her 💯

Hey that’s my backyard! In high school we used to spend hours in that cave system. I have spent many hours of my life routing around in there! Been all the way to the bottom and back multiple times. Ever seen the map? Super fun!
The birthing canal and the corkscrew were always the hardest for us
We used to also always only where the grippy hospital socks. Shoes were always too clunky.
Cool! Yes, we have that poorly drawn map. Just went again with Jacob to the very back. We also noticed some of the formations have crystalized and glow when light is shined through it.
@@CalvinHikes are you gonna make a video about that?

Looking back at the map you can actually see the area where you just can't drop straight in you have to be able to move to the side.
I am going back with my own climbing gear and Jacob. We will be able to descend that area no problem. We intend to push the cave beyond its current borders.

It's cool to see you guys hit this spot, I've seen other videos on Hell Hole and this is one of the neatest caves on RUclips. Hoping this one goes viral for you!
This is probably the only time we've taken video with the intention of it going viral. Everything else we do because we want to. But HELL HOLEwe did because people people asked us to go there and we thought since the cave is popular maybe it will be a popular video.
This is just part one!
Wow that was amazing ❤ your niece is a beautiful young girl and not afraid.
Nice to see even more of the family getting involved! This one I have seen a few times and the vertical had always scared me off.
Will forever appreciate your cave filming and how great it is!! Hooked on all ur vids, keep it up🔥🔥
Thank you! Taking the videos is by far the hardest part. Easier in this cave because it wasn't below freezing like our normal caves! hands freezing batteries dying...
This is my favourite channel on youtube. Can't believe how underrated you guys are
Cool. Glad you're here.
Awesome! I'm glad you made it there, ever since I found your channel I've always wanted to see you make your way through this cave and you made it look like it was nothing, just like I figured you would 👍 I look forward to your return trip!
Thank you! The biggest factors make it a little easier where that it's not a terribly rugged cave and it's much warmer than our lava tubes. But there is vertical so a person needs to climb to be able to get in there.
Otherwise it's also very small compared to caves we are used to. There was maybe a 100 feet (30 m) of crawlway in hellhole. We commonly do over a 1000 feet at a time.
“You don’t wanna go this way”
Goes that way 😂
I binge listen to your videos when working on my business. I've wondered why, deadlines and benchmarking makes me feel claustrophobic, at times. Hope your channel grows beyond 1 million subscribers. Legend!

Beautiful cave! That’s some true talent and upper body strength coming out of that cave and not being able to use your legs. At one point I was yelling at my screen , “ drop the knee pads!”. It definitely gave me some butt puckering moments. I have this sick love of being scared though, so I’ll be eagerly awaiting the return trip!

@@CalvinHikes wow you good Sir are a wonder of magical cave knowledge waiting to spring into action at a moments notice dropping fantastic nuggets of knowledge about caving along the way. Cheers to you good Sir cheers!
Great video keep up the great work! My friends and I actually did this not too long after your success on July 31 and took the same route you did! I personally had claustrophobia and when I saw these sort of videos beforehand, and I shivered at the feats y’all take and never saw myself doing anything of this sort in a million years. The first couple rooms were scary at first with the body-tight crawls, especially corkscrew being disoriented for part of the time, but then I turned on some relaxing music and we had a good time to the bottom and put our names in the log! We had great guides so everything went relatively smoothly just rather slow, because we had more people in our group, but the experience was definitely one to remember! I think one thing that was really useful was having lots of light, especially on the vertical sections where the headlamps sometimes wouldn’t make do, which was where our extras lamps held by people above or below us really helped! Good luck in your future adventures and stay safe :D
P.S. I also learned not to bring good shoes the hard way! I brought a pair of running shoes and they now have holes all over so I now need new ones haha
That's awesome to hear you did it.
It's a great cave to learn in because it's relevant yeah relatively safe but still quite tight in a few spots and it does require pretty athletic climbing.
Most caves are pretty hard on shoes and clothes in general.
Yes, We think more light is better as well. When we finally start taking big flashlights it kind of changed the way we cave. Yet with less light my own tolerances for darkness is less. With good lights the caves are prettier easier to navigate and I can stay in them for days.
Another great video. Keep up the good work. Be safe and take care.
How do u let other climbers know when someones down there?
Imagine three people coming after u and clogging everything up
You’ll hear if someone’s in there because sound isn’t going to vanish, sound is eventually going to escape the cave through the entrance. Usually when entering, should a ”is anyone there” take place
The other concern, is someone
Following getting stuck and clogging
