They started out as a glam metal band on their first 3 albums that had vocalist Terry Lee Glaze. He was replaced by Philip Hansen Anselmo and the music changed to a heavier sound. Check out early Pantera - All Over Tonight. Totally different but still a phenomenal guitar solo by Dimebag Darrell Abbott who called himself Diamond Darrell back then. Bass player Rex Brown called himself Rex Rocker. Also check out Anselmo in Down - New Orleans Is A Dying Whore and Ghost Along The Mississippi.
I was shooting pool in Deep Ellum one time and these guys came and put their quarters on the table and we hung out for an hour before I knew it was them...hahahaha...they also owned a strip club in Dallas called "The Clubhouse" because they partied and needed a place to play.

Dime and Vinnie are from Pantego TX .
