How densification helps Cape Town grow (English)

This video shows the benefits of densification. Cape Town is growing rapidly, but has limited land because the city is surrounded by mountains and the ocean, and the land that is available is very expensive. Densification helps our city grow inwards and upwards instead of outwards, protects our valuable natural environment and ensures that the City can afford to provide public services such as roads, electricity, water, and sewage. Densification increases the number of housing units and people per hectare. This assists in building integrated, safe and affordable communities.
