Black Orchid is polarizing indeed! To me it is stunning. I love it so much. Funny how I see it so differently: it is so well balanced, yet enticing, seductive, mysterious, and sexy. It's like a magic potion, a work of art if you ask me. If I were you I wouldn't totally dismiss a fragrance, but try again at a later point in time. For the longest time Oud Satin Mood smelled like an old, worn sock to me, but now.... it's one of my lifers. It blossomed like a true love story.
I use to love Angel during the early year of 2000. I wore it so much then that I haven’t brought a bottle since 2001. I don’t like none of the good girls too boring for me. Now Black Orchid, I love. It’s complex and sexy. It wears beautifully on my skin. Hubby loves its. I’ve gotten so many compliments from strangers every time I wear it. It’s definitely polarizing. I wore it to work one day, I drove my company vehicle for a training. My coworker (male)asked to use the vehicle which was the next day. He said “I don’t know what perfume you were wearing yesterday but damn it smells good.” I also love Lancôme, I layered it with Delina Exclusif, wore it in a date night. It wears beautifully in the cooler months . I was in line checking in for a reservation and the lady in front of me complimented me she said I smelled pretty. Oh and Coco, that’s my girl I’ve been rocking her since early 2000. Absolutely love it. Enjoyed the video.

Very funny story about your Black Orchid counter experience. I will say I think that fragrance is not meant to be sniffed from the bottle or off some paper, or even one of those scents you bury your nose in your wrist to smell. I feel like it's magic is in the scent bubble it creates.
I have a very old but good bottle of Angel. I don’t wear it anymore but I keep it bc it reminds me of the younger childhood years - hanging out with my sisters and cousins. It brings me lots of memories. Angel used to be our signature scent. No wonder mommy used to say “You smell like a walking perfume factory!” 😂
I think for me and everyone who can smell me around them I get compliments on Angel. The dry down is the best it changes slot. Maybe try the edt it’s very beautiful it’s on my wish list to get. My Mancera Velvet Vanilla is polarizing as is Angel Muse. All beautiful long lasting scents. I hope you’re feeling better. I think I can still hear it on your voice. We appreciate all you do Jackie. Dude. I agree. Like people get offended over opinion stuff all the time. I had one woman get offended because I didn't like a famous person's wedding dress. Like dude, we're not arguing, we just like different things. chill. But yeah, the good girl bottles are tacky to me. I mean, I think they're fun and I'd put it out, but yeah, a little tacky.
I love juicy fruit, too. Dolce Amalfi is unique! Love it. Same with Pas Ce Soir. And I'm a huge Alien fan. I love hearing varying opinions on polarizing perfumes.
I love Baccarat Rouge so much 😫 but I actually like Dossier's version even more than the O.G!! Smells like there's more saffron in it and also a little stronger.
I totally agree, we all like different things. I personally loooooove baccarat 540 extrait and if someone doesn't ....it's fine 🙂 at the end of the day, we wear what we enjoy and should keep on being that way. I appreciate your honesty 😌 I agree with most of the ones you dislike though. Hugs 🫂 🤗
You talking about BDK, proudly holding it and admiring it … is me with Mugler’s Angel. Loved it for years and cannot get enough of it. Black Orchid is another big love for me. It actually puts a smile on my face when I hear people disliking them, I somehow feel “special”
I love Pas ce Soir and Rouge Smoking! I like BR 540 but don’t love it - but then I loved the Extrait, which is worth a try for those who don’t like the original. I think the odd notes are smoothed over. Now I hate every Mugler and Good Girl, including the bottles of all of them. And I hate Erba Pura, so much so I had to scrub it. I also dislike most of the Chanels, because of the old, strong smells, but I think Mademoiselle is the best of the offerings.
I have been wearing Kayali Vanilla Royale 24/7, even to work. I get compliments almost every time. It is such a beautiful sexy fragrance. Love it! As far as Angel goes, I LOVE Iced Star. I really hope it remains permanent. That 🍍 is to die for

I used to love BR540 until all the similar fragrances came out, I don’t hate it now but I don’t love it as much as I used to. I love Rouge Smoking and Erba Pura. I have an ever changing love and hate relationship with Pas Ces Soir, I probably just have to be in the mood for it because when I am, I absolutely love it. I don’t hate Kayali fragrances, but don’t have and want them enough in my collection, the only one I ever bought was Burning Cherry which I really found beautiful but I gave it away because of the poor performance. 💕💕💕

I am not a fan of that patchouli note in Mugler. However, I am loving the new Angel Elixir. That one is definitely more my speed. I have yet to try BR540 🙈
I cant believe people hate Pac Ce Soir either lol. But i have noticed that there is a majority that dont like it when fruity sweet is mixed with tart/woody notes. They just want the sweet sugar bomb lol. That is why I think Delina is polarizing as well.

I Love Jasmines as well, & have a ton. Alien is something I have NEVER been able to wrap my head around. I smelled TFBO years ago on someone & ran out & bought a bottle. Hated it. I was out one night about a year after never wearing mine again & smelled a woman that smelled amazing. Black Orchid. I figured out the trick for me. It only smells good to my nose if I catch the faintest whiff. Then it's perfection. (Hello Clinque AE) I spray one tiny spray near my knees & it is totally transformed into sexy.
Finally!!!I some one else is not liking BR540....that scent profile makes me sick instantly...I thought my nose were broken....I tried sooo many times and it makes me sicker by sniff....

Dolce Amalfi is an enormous love! 🧡💛 Erba Pura is ok and two sprays max. Oud Bouquet… my husband is Muslim and said I smelled like a Mosque 🕌. So it’s a big no on me! 😅🤣 Coco Mademoiselle was almost out of the door until I mixed it with Vanilla 28. Even my husband noticed how good it smelled so it’s not in danger of being kicked out anymore! 😆😆. That was fun! 👍🏼
Invite only was a headache in a bottle to me. Sprayed ONCE on my bathrobe , ripped off the robe to change bc I couldn’t stand it. Later I had to take the robe to a separate room & finally rounded up enough clothes to run the washing machine and get rid of the stank. Obv returned it back to Sephora. Love most of the others though. Vanilla coco and the white flower one are both so beautiful and the musk 12. Royal Vanilla is also great.
Hi Jackie, great video. You’re so right in that it’s just perfume, not that deep! So, I just say I am a massive fan of Erba Pura,Oud Bouquet, Pas ce Soir. I belong to a pretty large frag group and those people will verbally slit your throat,if you even hint, you like Pas ce Soir. They cannot stand the black pepper and quince note. I love it. I just die laughing reading the comments when a new member starts raving about it. I actually liked the original Good Girl. I won’t repurchase but I did enjoy it. I really like the bottle of the Good Girl frags as well. I have a bottle of the Very Good Girl and quite like it. I’m definitely not a Chanel frag lover. Not one of them besides Coco Noir can I stand.I liked TF Black Orchid initially but I think I wore it too much when I first purchased a few years ago. I passed it on to my husband and it smells amazing on him. Not a fan of the original Alien or Angel. Not for me at all. I do get a lot of compliments on BR540. I won’t repurchase. It’s just not special enough for that price point. Veronica on Veronica says turned me on to a dupe of BR540 Extrait that is a complete dupe and has better longevity. It cost 90 bucks! The other day I was at a store looking for Dama Bianca as I have heard so many good reviews on it. One sales lady said - we do not have it but we have Erba Pura. I told her, oh no I have a sample of that and am ok when I first spray it but as it dries down it makes my stomach turn. Her co-worker smiled and said, I know what you mean 🤣. As for Angel and any Mugler Fragrances - I stay away. My memory of Angel, is of one of my co-workers who loved it. Every time she wore it I stayed away or would end the day with a headache 😳. She also was a fan of Alien- same thing. She was one of my favorite people in the office but her choice of scents made me sick. But that is why there are so many scents out there - there is something for everybody and you do not have to like what others do or vice versa!
Hahaha… the OG Angel is a love for me, but the new version is not the best. I buy vintage bottles and stock them away😂. So I do smell the cumin seed for a few seconds and then it quickly dissipates into this sexy complex caramel, chocolate, patchouli gourmand that is long lasting and delicious. My hubs loves this one on me a lot. I also enjoy OG Alien and Angel Muse edp and edt. I haven’t braved Aura… can’t connect with that one, but I’m a vintage Mugler fan! I cannot do Erba Pura either! I keep looking for a grown fruit cocktail …some have said Mancera Juicy Flowers is the one, but I haven’t tried it.I’m a bit nervous it’ll be too similar and I won’t like it🙃. I noticed you enjoyed Dama Bianca and I love it too- so Janoon Noir is a long lasting lovely clone of that and it’s a winner btw. I really enjoy all the ones you do… there are a few I haven’t tried yet, but there are very few frags I just can’t do… hence the collection that I will NOT count because I just don’t need to know that number🤣. Idk if i'm crazy but I totally do not get the black pepper in Pas Ce Soir at all! Then again, whenever I think of any perfume notes, I think of them in the most realistic sense possible. But yeah to me, Pas Ce Soir smells soooo feminine and classy. Such a beautiful scent, but at the same time, it comes off almost designer to me.
My fiancé cannot stand Black Orchid for himself, but when he sprayed it and I thought he smelt divine. I wouldn’t wear it though although I don’t hate- I prefer Velvet Orchid. I’m not a fan of Mulger Angel. I only like the Goddess and Aura scent.
I don't care for any of the CH Good Girls with the exception of Blush. I don't own it but I sprayed Blush on me in Ulta and it's the only one I can handle. Absolutely hate all Aliens. I bought a decant of Dolce Amalfi after watching your previous review and I really am enjoying it this summer! I own Coco Mademoiselle but never ever reach for her.
Hey Jackie! New to your channel and catching up on your videos. I had a visceral reaction to Black Orchid also. Same thing, smelled it in Macy's and I remember I started sweating and dry heaving and had to get to the bathroom. It was that bad. And yes, what in God's name is mushroom doing in a fragrance?! Hell no...but I love some of the flankers, my favorite being Orchid Soleil followed by Velvet Orchid Lumiere (both dcd, of course 🙄). As far as Angel, I used to love love love it but I'm not such a fan anymore. I love Angel Muse EDP though. Alien, LOVE it! My favorite Alien and one of my top 10 for life is Alien Essence Absolue. Of course, dcd 🙄. I can't stand BR540 because I hate saffron n ambroxan. Oh I love Pas Ce Soir also. Anyway, great video! I'm loving your channel! And love your hair like that ❤.
I LOVE Invite Only. I pick up the cherry, tobacco, & spices a lot. The vanilla comes out more in the dry down. I’d be surprised if you didn’t like this one now. Then again, I know some people think this pulls medicinal, and that is why they don’t like it. I do kind of understand the medicinal thing, but it doesn’t bother me. It also seems to go away for me in the dry down. It’s definitely a strong fragrance when you first spray, so I can see how over spraying might make a person hate it, too.

Great video Jackie (hope I spelled that right)! I always find it interesting how different fragrances can leave a different impression on each of us. I love Coco Mademoiselle, it will always be in my collection. To me, this is a masterpiece and I measure every other fragrance against it. Fresh, floral and sweet, perfect. I love Alien as well, the jasmine is beautiful. Over the Christmas holidays I purchased a travel sized of Vanilla Royale Sugared Patchouli as I'm not really a huge vanilla lover, it is very sweet on my skin and continues to get sweeter and sweeter in the dry down and it gives me a headache, however, I do receive compliments when I wear it. My alternative vanilla fragrance is Grand Soir by MFK, you still get vanilla but it's not as sweet. I love BDK, I own Tabac Rose and Gris Charnel and would like to add Pas Ce Soir to my collection. I smelled Black Orchid for the first time about 25 years ago, it was a sample in a magazine and I LOVED it!!! Then recently smelled it and did not like it at all. Not sure if they reformulated it or if my nose has changed. Funny how that happens.
Thanks for an interesting video 👍 I guess one of the most polarizing scents I know is Versace Crystal Noir. Some people call it the sexiest perfume of all times, and I personally like it and own a bottle. However, my husband and my family hate it so much that I've decided to sell it. Btw, have you tried Raindrops by Ajmal? It's a dupe for Coco Mademoiselle which is so close to the original that I don't see a point in buying anything from Mademoiselle and Allure ranges for myself, because in the drydown they all smell pretty much the same and undetectable from that Ajmal dupe.
i love BR540 and that whole scent profile... i never owned a bottle of it, but i do not know how many times i purchased a sample LOL but i got tired of the scent coz I smell it everywhere, from other fragrances with the same DNA, dupes, clones, etc.... a great scent IMO but I need a break for now 😁
I have a client who’s a smoker and always wears Alien. Now I always associate that fragrance with a old women who smokes and wears too much makeup with a raspy voice 😅
I hadn't heard that about Dolce Amalfi, doesn't ruin it for me. I don't love it as much as I did when I bought it, but am glad I only bought the 30 ml. Baccarat Rouge I just never liked. It's not awful, but I guess it didn't live up to the hype for me. My most polarizing in my collection would be Nuit de Bakelite by Naomi Goodsir. I only wear it when I am home alone. My husband does not like it.
I don't find most of these fragrances polarizing on my skin due to my skin chemistry eating up scents...aside from alien she's a beast... Fragrances really are subjective
That’s so funny that the sales lady at Macy’s told you that Black Orchid was her favorite fragrance because when I went to Macy’s in VA the salesman told me that Black Orchid was his favorite scent. To me it smells like dirt…just can’t do it! I wonder if sales of it are down and that’s why they were pushing it ha,ha! 😉
I absolutely love alien, black orchid and invite only. I can't stand the erba pura dupe that I tried, I am also struggling with bdk fragrances. Everyone is different and that is the beauty and diversity of the fragrance world.
There isn't a single Mugler scent I like. BR540 smells like straight up dental office to me and I cannot stand the smell. Black Orchid is one of my favorites. I love how different people are - it's what makes us fascinating and these videos so interesting!

Angel was my favorite for years, really beautiful gourmand praline patchouli, until reformulation now I cannot stand it. Vanilla Royale I looooove it even the nuclear medicinal boozy opening is gorgeous to my nose 😁 I have a question if you don’t mind, did you tried Velvet Orchid by TF ? If yes what do you think ? I used to own a small bottle of angel and I liked to wear it from time to time, applied very lightly. Unfortunately one of me co workers showers herself with it even in hot weather which made me dislike the perfume and I ended up decluttering it 😏
I really enjoy Pas Ce Soir. I only just got the sample, but of the 3 hyped BDK's I liked this one the most. The Tubereuse one & Rouge Smoking are not for me. I'm waiting on Gris Charnel Extrait decant and I have high hopes for that one!
Omg when I smelled Black Orchid, my initial reaction was what kind of psycho likes this perfume? 🤣🤣 It smelled like some kinda oil that went bad and made me wanna throw up. 🙈
I don't think they get mad because someone doesn't like the fragrances they love - it is when they make statements like "smells old-lady-ish" or " it smells cheap", or " smells trashy"; I'm sorry but that is probably going to offend someone out there. I personally really don't care who doesn't like a fragrance of mine, other than if it is my husband who doesn't like it, but I have not had that happen thus far. We all have different tastes, thank goodness, or the world would be a pretty boring place!
I have a bottle of oud bouquet and I don't know why people say it's very strong to me it's not strong at all I love it but I'm disappointed for the price I thought it would be better and longer lasting
If you love bubble gum, you should sample Bubble Gum by Bel Rebel, it's at Luckyscent. It literally smells like bubble gum but in a grown up kind of way.
I agree to disagree with some of them, but I ADORE Pas Ce Soir! It lasts forever on my skin, in fact, all of the 5 BDK that I own lasts 10+ hours (including Rouge Smoking).
I like the sample of Very Good Girl I got, but the bottle... I can't stand it... I bought a dupe of Delina that was cheaper than PDM and CH. I'm gonna have to try Coco Mademoiselle on skin. I only tried it on paper and was horrified and scared to even attempt testing it on skin. Maybe my nose is affraid of Chanels... Some people can't stand Guerlain and I love their fragrances. Sugared Patchouli! Gorgeous! BR540 I own a few dupes that I really love! But I get how people could feel it as medicinal… Pas ce soir is very nice but Gris Charnel I prefer. 😉 Pas ce soir smells like Still by JLo so it’s not unique enough in my collection to buy a full bottle. All the shoe collection doesn’t work for me… 🤷🏻♀️
I have samples of quite a few from Simone Andreoli , and if you like a fruity /musky scent you might like Don't Ask Me Permission.... I think it's so pretty 💖 I really enjoy the DNA from this house bc I feel I could add several fb's just 💲💲, I live in Canada and found a niche store that carries it and offers samples and decants as well as fb's , I think they offer free shipping to the US, might be quite affordable for you to try them ?
I’m still trying to like pa ces soir, its kinda too sweet for me. not sure if it last long on my skin too, which season do you think it works best? Oh and the Iconic Coco mademoiselle 😅 I’ve finally enjoyed it the few worn during the most coldest days, but prior to that it still makes me dizzy and smell old, like dated like grandma vibes (not bad, but dated really) I don’t know if it would still work for me after the coldest season, I hope so, otherwise I wouldn’t finish the 50ml in this lifetime I guess 😅😂❤
I got the newer formula of Alien. I have mixed feelings about it. I don't hate it, but there's something about it that makes me think of bug spray and I had to return it. I won't pay the criminal price tag for Baccarat Rouge, but I have smelled it and I do like the sweet, airy, gourmand fragrance....but dupes will suffice, lol. Not a fan of the Good Girl perfumes. Don't care for Black Opium, or the strong smokey scent of By the Fireplace (Gasp..yes, I said it, lol), or even the Chanel Chance perfumes.
Invite only is definitely not for everybody, the tobacco is a lot more pronounced and somewhat dirty. I get a lot of cherry, honey, spices. I love it though and happy to have it. I am obsessed with Vanilla Royale, and my favourite was Love fest but now it’s Vanilla Royale. From the brand these two are not mass appealing, and should be sampled.
I do no like Erba pura as well , same thing with Oud bouquet but not because I don’t like Oud , it just doesn’t work for me . I actually prefer Frank Olivier Oud Vanille and YES I love Kayali vanilla royale
Vanilla Royale made me sick on the stomach when I fist got it and smelled it. Now, I can sniff it without getting sick but it’s hard for me to wear it..
I never smelled the Original Angel, but I do own Angel Iced star - which is coconut/patchouli - and I have several other coconut scents so I'm going to pass on Alien Goddess Intense. I did smell the original Alien - which made me nauseous and gave me a whopping headache. Invite only Amber was a love at first sniff for me. Immediate buy. I resisted Black Orchid for a long time, but I broke down and got a sample and liked it, but not enough to buy a bottle. MFK BR 540 is nasty. I never got fluffy sugar or burnt sugar or anything like that. Just medicinal dentist office to me. Rouge smoking - that was a pass - Cherry Punk and Lovefest burning cherry are much better. Erba Pura was a miss for me too...started off ok, but within a few minutes it smelled like citrus and gasoline. Oud Bouquet was vomit inducing - I too cannot handle oud - and my bottle was so strong I questioned if there were any flowers in my bottle at all. All I got was barnyard/cat pee. I sold it.

Dry Good Girl has the same dna to me as the OG. I’m not a fan of that range. It’s headache inducing to me and downright annoying after less than an hour.

Hi, I Worn Angel almost every day when it first came out, it was a different scent back then, totally new and exciting, now it's too sweet for me x

I have a very old but good bottle of Angel. I don’t wear it anymore but I keep it bc it reminds me of the younger childhood years - hanging out with my sisters and cousins. It brings me lots of memories. Angel used to be our signature scent. No wonder mommy used to say “You smell like a walking perfume factory!” 😂

I think for me and everyone who can smell me around them I get compliments on Angel. The dry down is the best it changes slot. Maybe try the edt it’s very beautiful it’s on my wish list to get. My Mancera Velvet Vanilla is polarizing as is Angel Muse. All beautiful long lasting scents. I hope you’re feeling better. I think I can still hear it on your voice. We appreciate all you do Jackie. Your content is spot on.

You talking about BDK, proudly holding it and admiring it … is me with Mugler’s Angel. Loved it for years and cannot get enough of it. Black Orchid is another big love for me. It actually puts a smile on my face when I hear people disliking them, I somehow feel “special”

I love Pas ce Soir and Rouge Smoking! I like BR 540 but don’t love it - but then I loved the Extrait, which is worth a try for those who don’t like the original. I think the odd notes are smoothed over. Now I hate every Mugler and Good Girl, including the bottles of all of them. And I hate Erba Pura, so much so I had to scrub it. I also dislike most of the Chanels, because of the old, strong smells, but I think Mademoiselle is the best of the offerings.
I have been wearing Kayali Vanilla Royale 24/7, even to work. I get compliments almost every time. It is such a beautiful sexy fragrance. Love it! As far as Angel goes, I LOVE Iced Star. I really hope it remains permanent. That 🍍 is to die for

I’ve never heard anyone referred to BR540 as “burnt sugar profile” I think its so much more complex than that!! But its just perfume!
I used to love BR540 until all the similar fragrances came out, I don’t hate it now but I don’t love it as much as I used to. I love Rouge Smoking and Erba Pura. I have an ever changing love and hate relationship with Pas Ces Soir, I probably just have to be in the mood for it because when I am, I absolutely love it. I don’t hate Kayali fragrances, but don’t have and want them enough in my collection, the only one I ever bought was Burning Cherry which I really found beautiful but I gave it away because of the poor performance. 💕💕💕
I looove Pas Ce Soir 😍 It is so soft and addictive, I don't get any pepperiness at all. To me it is mostly cold sweet black tea!

I cant believe people hate Pac Ce Soir either lol. But i have noticed that there is a majority that dont like it when fruity sweet is mixed with tart/woody notes. They just want the sweet sugar bomb lol. That is why I think Delina is polarizing as well.

I Love Jasmines as well, & have a ton. Alien is something I have NEVER been able to wrap my head around. I smelled TFBO years ago on someone & ran out & bought a bottle. Hated it. I was out one night about a year after never wearing mine again & smelled a woman that smelled amazing. Black Orchid. I figured out the trick for me. It only smells good to my nose if I catch the faintest whiff. Then it's perfection. (Hello Clinque AE) I spray one tiny spray near my knees & it is totally transformed into sexy.

Dolce Amalfi is an enormous love! 🧡💛 Erba Pura is ok and two sprays max. Oud Bouquet… my husband is Muslim and said I smelled like a Mosque 🕌. So it’s a big no on me! 😅🤣 Coco Mademoiselle was almost out of the door until I mixed it with Vanilla 28. Even my husband noticed how good it smelled so it’s not in danger of being kicked out anymore! 😆😆. That was fun! 👍🏼

Invite only was a headache in a bottle to me. Sprayed ONCE on my bathrobe , ripped off the robe to change bc I couldn’t stand it. Later I had to take the robe to a separate room & finally rounded up enough clothes to run the washing machine and get rid of the stank. Obv returned it back to Sephora. Love most of the others though. Vanilla coco and the white flower one are both so beautiful and the musk 12. Royal Vanilla is also great.

Hi Jackie, great video. You’re so right in that it’s just perfume, not that deep! So, I just say I am a massive fan of Erba Pura,Oud Bouquet, Pas ce Soir. I belong to a pretty large frag group and those people will verbally slit your throat,if you even hint, you like Pas ce Soir. They cannot stand the black pepper and quince note. I love it. I just die laughing reading the comments when a new member starts raving about it. I actually liked the original Good Girl. I won’t repurchase but I did enjoy it. I really like the bottle of the Good Girl frags as well. I have a bottle of the Very Good Girl and quite like it. I’m definitely not a Chanel frag lover. Not one of them besides Coco Noir can I stand.I liked TF Black Orchid initially but I think I wore it too much when I first purchased a few years ago. I passed it on to my husband and it smells amazing on him. Not a fan of the original Alien or Angel. Not for me at all. I do get a lot of compliments on BR540. I won’t repurchase. It’s just not special enough for that price point. Veronica on Veronica says turned me on to a dupe of BR540 Extrait that is a complete dupe and has better longevity. It cost 90 bucks! I can’t speak to the others you mentioned as I haven’t tried them. Very interesting video. 💗

The other day I was at a store looking for Dama Bianca as I have heard so many good reviews on it. One sales lady said - we do not have it but we have Erba Pura. I told her, oh no I have a sample of that and am ok when I first spray it but as it dries down it makes my stomach turn. Her co-worker smiled and said, I know what you mean 🤣. As for Angel and any Mugler Fragrances - I stay away. My memory of Angel, is of one of my co-workers who loved it. Every time she wore it I stayed away or would end the day with a headache 😳. She also was a fan of Alien- same thing. She was one of my favorite people in the office but her choice of scents made me sick. But that is why there are so many scents out there - there is something for everybody and you do not have to like what others do or vice versa!
Strong oud fragrances do that to me… I can feel nauseous when I smell them for too long 😔
Hahaha… the OG Angel is a love for me, but the new version is not the best. I buy vintage bottles and stock them away😂. So I do smell the cumin seed for a few seconds and then it quickly dissipates into this sexy complex caramel, chocolate, patchouli gourmand that is long lasting and delicious. My hubs loves this one on me a lot. I also enjoy OG Alien and Angel Muse edp and edt. I haven’t braved Aura… can’t connect with that one, but I’m a vintage Mugler fan! I cannot do Erba Pura either! I keep looking for a grown fruit cocktail …some have said Mancera Juicy Flowers is the one, but I haven’t tried it.I’m a bit nervous it’ll be too similar and I won’t like it🙃. I noticed you enjoyed Dama Bianca and I love it too- so Janoon Noir is a long lasting lovely clone of that and it’s a winner btw. I really enjoy all the ones you do… there are a few I haven’t tried yet, but there are very few frags I just can’t do… hence the collection that I will NOT count because I just don’t need to know that number🤣. Idk if i'm crazy but I totally do not get the black pepper in Pas Ce Soir at all! Then again, whenever I think of any perfume notes, I think of them in the most realistic sense possible. But yeah to me, Pas Ce Soir smells soooo feminine and classy. Such a beautiful scent, but at the same time, it comes off almost designer to me.
Alien and Black Orchid are a big no for me. I totally agree with you about BR540, huge respect for this scent but don’t want to wear it myself 😍

I don't care for any of the CH Good Girls with the exception of Blush. I don't own it but I sprayed Blush on me in Ulta and it's the only one I can handle. Absolutely hate all Aliens. I bought a decant of Dolce Amalfi after watching your previous review and I really am enjoying it this summer! I own Coco Mademoiselle but never ever reach for her.
I simply love Very Good Girl and Erba Pura, and I cannot get enough of them !!. I also have MFK BR 540, which I like, but its not a love.
Hey Jackie! New to your channel and catching up on your videos. I had a visceral reaction to Black Orchid also. Same thing, smelled it in Macy's and I remember I started sweating and dry heaving and had to get to the bathroom. It was that bad. And yes, what in God's name is mushroom doing in a fragrance?! Hell no...but I love some of the flankers, my favorite being Orchid Soleil followed by Velvet Orchid Lumiere (both dcd, of course 🙄). As far as Angel, I used to love love love it but I'm not such a fan anymore. I love Angel Muse EDP though. Alien, LOVE it! My favorite Alien and one of my top 10 for life is Alien Essence Absolue. Of course, dcd 🙄. I can't stand BR540 because I hate saffron n ambroxan. Oh I love Pas Ce Soir also. Anyway, great video! I'm loving your channel! And love your hair like that ❤.

I LOVE Invite Only. I pick up the cherry, tobacco, & spices a lot. The vanilla comes out more in the dry down. I’d be surprised if you didn’t like this one now. Then again, I know some people think this pulls medicinal, and that is why they don’t like it. I do kind of understand the medicinal thing, but it doesn’t bother me. It also seems to go away for me in the dry down. It’s definitely a strong fragrance when you first spray, so I can see how over spraying might make a person hate it, too.

Great video Jackie (hope I spelled that right)! I always find it interesting how different fragrances can leave a different impression on each of us. I love Coco Mademoiselle, it will always be in my collection. To me, this is a masterpiece and I measure every other fragrance against it. Fresh, floral and sweet, perfect. I love Alien as well, the jasmine is beautiful. Over the Christmas holidays I purchased a travel sized of Vanilla Royale Sugared Patchouli as I'm not really a huge vanilla lover, it is very sweet on my skin and continues to get sweeter and sweeter in the dry down and it gives me a headache, however, I do receive compliments when I wear it. My alternative vanilla fragrance is Grand Soir by MFK, you still get vanilla but it's not as sweet. I love BDK, I own Tabac Rose and Gris Charnel and would like to add Pas Ce Soir to my collection. I smelled Black Orchid for the first time about 25 years ago, it was a sample in a magazine and I LOVED it!!! Then recently smelled it and did not like it at all. Not sure if they reformulated it or if my nose has changed. Funny how that happens.

Thanks for an interesting video 👍 I guess one of the most polarizing scents I know is Versace Crystal Noir. Some people call it the sexiest perfume of all times, and I personally like it and own a bottle. However, my husband and my family hate it so much that I've decided to sell it.
Btw, have you tried Raindrops by Ajmal? It's a dupe for Coco Mademoiselle which is so close to the original that I don't see a point in buying anything from Mademoiselle and Allure ranges for myself, because in the drydown they all smell pretty much the same and undetectable from that Ajmal dupe.

I hadn't heard that about Dolce Amalfi, doesn't ruin it for me. I don't love it as much as I did when I bought it, but am glad I only bought the 30 ml. Baccarat Rouge I just never liked. It's not awful, but I guess it didn't live up to the hype for me. My most polarizing in my collection would be Nuit de Bakelite by Naomi Goodsir. I only wear it when I am home alone. My husband does not like it.
I don't find most of these fragrances polarizing on my skin due to my skin chemistry eating up scents...aside from alien she's a beast... Fragrances really are subjective

I absolutely love alien, black orchid and invite only. I can't stand the erba pura dupe that I tried, I am also struggling with bdk fragrances. Everyone is different and that is the beauty and diversity of the fragrance world.

I used to own a small bottle of angel and I liked to wear it from time to time, applied very lightly. Unfortunately one of me co workers showers herself with it even in hot weather which made me dislike the perfume and I ended up decluttering it 😏

I really enjoy Pas Ce Soir. I only just got the sample, but of the 3 hyped BDK's I liked this one the most. The Tubereuse one & Rouge Smoking are not for me. I'm waiting on Gris Charnel Extrait decant and I have high hopes for that one!

I don't think they get mad because someone doesn't like the fragrances they love - it is when they make statements like "smells old-lady-ish" or " it smells cheap", or " smells trashy"; I'm sorry but that is probably going to offend someone out there. I personally really don't care who doesn't like a fragrance of mine, other than if it is my husband who doesn't like it, but I have not had that happen thus far. We all have different tastes, thank goodness, or the world would be a pretty boring place!

I like the sample of Very Good Girl I got, but the bottle... I can't stand it... I bought a dupe of Delina that was cheaper than PDM and CH. I'm gonna have to try Coco Mademoiselle on skin. I only tried it on paper and was horrified and scared to even attempt testing it on skin. Maybe my nose is affraid of Chanels... Some people can't stand Guerlain and I love their fragrances. But I get how people could feel it as medicinal… Pas ce soir is very nice but Gris Charnel I prefer. 😉 Pas ce soir smells like Still by JLo so it’s not unique enough in my collection to buy a full bottle. I’m still trying to like pa ces soir, its kinda too sweet for me. not sure if it last long on my skin too, which season do you think it works best? Oh and the Iconic Coco mademoiselle 😅 I’ve finally enjoyed it the few worn during the most coldest days, but prior to that it still makes me dizzy and smell old, like dated like grandma vibes (not bad, but dated really) I don’t know if it would still work for me after the coldest season, I hope so, otherwise I wouldn’t finish the 50ml in this lifetime I guess 😅😂❤

I got the newer formula of Alien. I have mixed feelings about it. I don't hate it, but there's something about it that makes me think of bug spray and I had to return it. I won't pay the criminal price tag for Baccarat Rouge, but I have smelled it and I do like the sweet, airy, gourmand fragrance....but dupes will suffice, lol. Not a fan of the Good Girl perfumes. Invite only is definitely not for everybody, the tobacco is a lot more pronounced and somewhat dirty. I get a lot of cherry, honey, spices. I love it though and happy to have it.

I do no like Erba pura as well , same thing with Oud bouquet but not because I don’t like Oud , it just doesn’t work for me . I actually prefer Frank Olivier Oud Vanille and YES I love Kayali vanilla royale

Vanilla Royale made me sick on the stomach when I fist got it and smelled it. Now, I can sniff it without getting sick but it’s hard for me to wear it..
It’s has a very strong boozy Rum opening that is not for everyone. Definitely not a safe blind buy. 💕
I never smelled the Original Angel, but I do own Angel Iced star - which is coconut/patchouli - and I have several other coconut scents so I'm going to pass on Alien Goddess Intense. I did smell the original Alien - which made me nauseous and gave me a whopping headache. Invite only Amber was a love at first sniff for me. Immediate buy. I resisted Black Orchid for a long time, but I broke down and got a sample and liked it, but not enough to buy a bottle. MFK BR 540 is nasty. I never got fluffy sugar or burnt sugar or anything like that. Just medicinal dentist office to me. Rouge smoking - that was a pass - Cherry Punk and Lovefest burning cherry are much better. Erba Pura was a miss for me too...started off ok, but within a few minutes it smelled like citrus and gasoline. Oud Bouquet was vomit inducing - I too cannot handle oud - and my bottle was so strong I questioned if there were any flowers in my bottle at all. All I got was barnyard/cat pee. I sold it.
I think Oud Bouquet is my husbands least favorite perfume I’ve ever sprayed 😆

Dry Good Girl has the same dna to me as the OG. I’m not a fan of that range. It’s headache inducing to me and downright annoying after less than an hour.

I do not like Alien, Invite only amber is nice but not my favorite. However Tom Ford black orchid is stunning, sexy and mysterious. I think Tom ford fragrances are mysterious bcz I have never smelled 1 that I fell in love at 1st sniff but if you keep trying you will be obsessed 🤩. Royal vanille is also my favorite of kayali
I struggle with Tom ford fragrances. I guess I need to test them a few times and see if any grow on me.
I love Angel. It's my fall/winter staple! I'm a Mugler gal, however I hate Alien. Tom Ford Black Orchid is disgusting 🤮
